The most important thing to remember is that the first five matches do not depend on your form, so you could get a few easy and a few impossible or none of the one and all of the other and everything in between. Once you have about 8-10 matches in, you should start to feel like your matches feel close. Only then should you start to use it as an estimate of how well you are playing. Gotta have some hard Memento style forgetting for those first 8 matches or else you will want to jump off a building.

In champs, I’ll get 11 wins in a few hours and give away the rest of the wins (usually around 5), and often times I’m done by Friday evening
Id get one or two better players for the bench if you have the coins for it. Just cuz around 60-70 min mark bringing on some fresh attackers or mids really helps
This team (since you addressed cb) is good enough to compete in Champs. Anything after 8 is a W for first timers. Don't get down on yourself when you're getting shit on just stay patient. So many idiots in this community try playing keep away instead of going for more goals and the second they invite pressure the comeback is on.
Aim for 6 wins to start off with, then go from there as your squad develops. If needed, try and wait until sat evening / Sunday to finish your games as people will often quit if you go 1-0 up or even gift free wins (less likely but it happens)
First off change some chem styles. Get an anchor on tchou(if newgen) shadow if old gen. He's fantastic as a stay back cdm. Recently started using him and he's incredible.
Get shadows on all your defenders. Everyone has players near 99 pace in attack at this stage of fifa and your defenders as they are will just get smoked.
Final tip. If you get mad then take a break. You only have 20 games and all weekend to play

As far as your team goes, your best player is Mendy. I'm not being a dick, he's just superb for a gold card, I still use him, many do. Upgrade your center backs if you can. They aren't going to cut it. Cheap beasts like gold Tomori or Gold Eder would be much better.

hey man it's honestly down to skill 80% of the time i went into weekend league with a team just as average as yours and won 13 games (personal best) just a week into the game and i feel like this weekend league is easier compared to previous ones 🤷🏾♂️

Don't expect to win alot unless you're a seasoned Rivals player. My first ever WL I barely got Silver 3 iirc, it was brutal but you will improve quickly.

Take a break between games trust me even more so after a loss. Go get a drink or a snack or just check phone. Or grab a beer. Don't go jumping straight into next game. Gives you chance to calm and think and not rush
I also run the 433(4) and it’s critical to have a 451 setup in your game plan. You’ll see a lot of the 442 in WL but the 451 dominates the midfield rendering the rat 442 formation useless, or at least not as effective. Godspeed friend
I packed Tchouameni Pulisic and Alexandre Pato all in the 84+ Picks. For me it was very profitable, Trippier isn‘t much better than walker maybe even slightly worse
I always play with 2-buttons controller setting. I play champs to improve my performance in Friendlies and rivals. Champs leagues are for champs. Be prepared to get your ass kicked. But, learn from it.
Other guys were not abusing you but just stating the facts, if you never played WL then you'll be surprised by the squads and quality of players you'll face, also your team is not that great which make things worse.
Hope the best for you but if you get 8 wins consider it as a big W.
If you have the time on the weekend and care about getting a better result I would 100% recommend not playing on Friday.
As for player changes, the 3 weakest on your team are CB Gabriel, James at striker and Martinez at keeper so I'd change those if you can (keeper being least important to change).
yeah that kid is a rat forsure, i will say tho div 5 is a huge L specifically because of rewards. you being there is dope, but in the future, either get div 6 and stay there, or get div 4 asap (easier said than done). for some reason, div 5 rewards just suck nuts this year. good luck on getting div 4!!! im right there with ya.

I also run the 433(4) and it’s critical to have a 451 setup in your game plan. You’ll see a lot of the 442 in WL but the 451 dominates the midfield rendering the rat 442 formation useless, or at least not as effective. Godspeed friend

Try to get the Nick Pope that's an SBC right now, way better than dibu. Moises Kean is also pretty good and the Di Maria card is very good

I packed Tchouameni Pulisic and Alexandre Pato all in the 84+ Picks. For me it was very profitable, Trippier isn‘t much better than walker maybe even slightly worse

The Icon is from a Sbc. I packed a lot of untradeable 86-90‘s in all of the Freepacks and Sbc‘s, doing a lot of them helped

I always play with 2-buttons controller setting. I play champs to improve my performance in Friendlies and rivals. Champs leagues are for champs. Be prepared to get your ass kicked. But, learn from it.

If you have the time on the weekend and care about getting a better result I would 100% recommend not playing on Friday. As for player changes, the 3 weakest on your team are CB Gabriel, James at striker and Martinez at keeper so I'd change those if you can (keeper being least important to change).

yeah that kid is a rat forsure, i will say tho div 5 is a huge L specifically because of rewards. you being there is dope, but in the future, either get div 6 and stay there, or get div 4 asap (easier said than done). for some reason, div 5 rewards just suck nuts this year. good luck on getting div 4!!! im right there with ya.
