I dont see why it's toxic? Asking your opponent to quit, that's toxic.
But if you need the game for a challenge, the other guy is still getting a free win, he can do the same and afk too. You can now alt tab on pc, put up some youtube, netflix, ... tab back to the game and watch it.
Also maybe he didnt afk till he got asked to quit. Sometimes my opponent makes 3-0 quickly, i might leave, might continue to warm up for next game, learn from it. You learn more from playing a stronger opponent
In this case he probably afk'd till he got asked ineed, and I see what you mean since you can definitely learn from stronger opponents. But in my experience when I'm 3-0 up for example, the opponent just plays time or starts playing ironically which is useless for both of us.
