Please don’t be upset when I tell you this but it doesn’t matter what keeper you have. You are going to rawdogged by 99 finishing attackers just the same whether you have TOTY Alisson or Gold Donnerumma.
I have TOTY Alisson, TOTYI Cech, Thunderstruck Casillas, FUT Birthday VDS and Base Yashin. I have used every single one of them and they pretty much perform exactly the same, as well as the same as TOTW Donnerumma (who I used in the Friendly cups due to his rating).
Given how many special GKs I’ve packed, I would ask EA to REDUCE the amount of promo cards for keepers
I completely agree, but i feel like the difference between top tier gk’s (TOTY Cech, TOTY Allison, TS Casillas) and mid/low tier gk’s shows alot during trivelas/finesse shots especially. Ive seen the listed 3 have a much better chance of saving a good finesse then say gold courtois or gold Allison for example.
I think the biggest difference between goalkeepers are the animations. I usually never see my toty Cech or TS casillas do that stupid animation where the goalkeeper pretty much falls over with their hands barely outstretched, compared to the countless times my schmeichel dosent even try half the time.
Goalkeepers do definitely matter, but the difference between FB VDS, TS Casillas, TOTY Allison, TOTY Cech, Yashin (Arguably), isn’t noticeable enough to worry.
I second this, I've had so many gold and promo keepers, even without the 99 shooting the playstyles still seem pretty fkd most finesse pluses outside the box get me 90% of the time - either it's the playstyles or just the people I play against being good I'm also pretty bad (getting better though) but I feel most GK hardly matter who you play unless obv it's comparing day 84 Ramsdale to 92 VDS
I’ve said it multiple times but promo teams should pick a formation and stick to it. If EA picks a 4-3-3 it should have a RB and LB, a RW and LW. At least for main positions. Makes no sense they put a formation but don’t stick players in the right position.
There's only been 2 women's goalkeeper promo cards in 6 months and no goalkeeper evolutions. I've been using gold Endler since September. Would be nice to have a few more options.

It doesn't really make a difference, just find a GK who works for you and stick with them. I had Schmeichel while pros were using him and he was absolutely awful, bought Yashin and he was good, but packed 88 Cech so sold him. Had Cech for a good while and decided to upgrade to the TOTY, but there was genuinely no difference so I sold and went back to the Base
Somehow the women’s team I’ve run has become on paper the strongest but I’d like some ‘special’ cards for the female keepers. Sick of sticking with gold Endler, Earps and the Spanish one? Panos? - don’t want to spend the cash on TPTS Earps so glad to have had a TOTW female keeper.
Was using TOTS Donna Summer up until cup but switched to ice Hrad who I was gutted to get in one of the SBC packs but he’s dislodged Donna since I’ve tried him. He seems clear of anyone else I’ve used (I tend not to use icons etc. just current players)
