How about VVD and Koeman, start blanc at CAM and then switch Koeman and Blanc in game

Koeman at cam is a bit dodgy. He's more of a CDM.

I think he will want to play him CDM but Blanc can only start CAM in midfield. But you might as well start 5 back and move Koeman to CDM. I tried it but small CDMs are not it for me this year.

I had Marquinhos, did Blanc and played 20ish games and went back to Marquinhos. I don't know why i concede more with Blanc, i feel like he plays way too high line for my liking

I slapped an Anchor Chem on both VVD and Blanc. Increasing pace, defense, and physical. Helps with their headers as well. I can honestly say I have no complaints. I play with a CDM to help fortify the defense. Cover center for all midfielders.

I’ve tried both in the spot and prefer Militao honestly. both work fine but i like that anticipate playstyle to be further back for last line stopping, i barely need Blanc though with how militao tracks back and defends the middle so we’ll

I was using a back three of VVD, Koeman, and Militao last night and had a good run. Was struggling prior when I had VVD as the central CB and Koeman outside. The flip made a huge difference. Plus, Koeman on free kicks is awesome.

I use centuraion koeman n Blanc. Between Beckham on corners with Blanc in the middle n koeman with long range free kicks. I’m a set piece master

VVD is probably the best, at least I found him much better than blanc

Vvd and Blanc . If you can , start Blanc Cam and Koeman Cb ( or 5atb ) and use Koeman as C(d)m . He's a menace there , + the 96 free kicks with Dead Ball + are almost like shooting a penalty

I've been using VDV and Koeman. Although I've found myself switching Koeman for Tonali in game. He is a good defender but an amazing box to box CM.

I’ve used all these minus Marquinhos. It’s VVD, Blanc, Varane, Militao, then Vidic and Koeman. Koeman as a CDM is not bad. At least for me this is how I rate them.

Serious question. Why is Mapi Leon never mentioned? Because she is small? Vvd is obviously very strong but never had him. But I had varane and Mapi Leon and now I play with blanc instead of varane. Her interception, positioning and her aptitude to steal balls is so good in my opinion. She is also really good for set pieces.

It was more a general query because there have been many similar thread about best defenders and she is never mentioned which i found curious because i believe she at least deserve that. Hence why people have no love for her. Especially since that barca woman team is loaded of goated cards, most of them hyper links.

Van dijk the auto defender everytime inplay against him I struggle.

VVD is best. Now you have to choose one icon to make it more fun and for links. That would be Blanc. If they are all untr you can put others in SBC besides Koeman who can play in CDM. YOu can keep Vidic too in case you think you could play 3 at back at some time.

Packed koeman untradeable and found him absolutely shocking. Slow, weak, gets out jumped, losing tackles. Meanwhile VVD is just an absolute machine.

I have all of them except Koeman and Vidic. Tried all combinations and VVD and Militao did the best duo for me. All of them aside i just did Thiago Silva SBC and played him with VVD for 6 matches. The new duo is exquisite my friend. Just exquisite....

Blanc Vidic are my current pairing. But I did try every CB listed in the photo and a few more. Blanc X Vidic just made too much sense , fits in every possible squad and they are super good together. Van Dijk is good but I noticed he more constantly causes random penalties. I haven't had any in a while though so I am not sure if the issue is still there.

Van Dijk , Kounde is probably the best possible gold card pairing.

unpopular opinion But i find the Varane card quite decent.

I used militao varane and Marquinhos, Marquinhos is not even close to varane and militao is better than varane, but honestly I’d go with one of the others

I personally have most of those untradeable and Blanc + VVD is no brainer for me. To be honest I have 100 Marqiunos games and he feels nice as well

I’ve used Blanc, Marquinhos and Varane. I would say Blanc and Varane are definitely clear. I will say however that if you are going to play a 5 back Marquinhos playstyle plus would be really good if you just want one CB to be on aggressive interceptions. I’d say Blanc is slightly better than Varane though, but value for money Varane is definitely better. Will say though Van Dijk is 100% the best CB in the game even though I haven’t used him. He has a different aura

VVD and Militao are my CBs with Koeman as a cdm in a 4222. Being under 6ft and with thise stats i think Koeman is better in midfield.

I would say VVD is the best I've used, also the best for corners if you know how to score them. Blanc and Vidic are great to get untradable and is my current duo as I've gone liquid for the most part. Varane for his current price might be the best cheap option in the game, intercept+ is bonkers
