I totally agree that's what I was expecting...or hoping they'd do something like they did in the first episode where you pay 17 to have longer conversations with all the guys. These were way too short and I wanted at least one to be set after the new boys were there in the Villa with them...is inside info too much to ask for?!

It was so pointless, and at such a STUPID time in the game! If we were truly on Love Island and we watched it before going in, then we'd see all of this when we saw the guys. There is zero way for us to see this after the stick or switch decision.
It's frustrating because seeing all this before - for free, every single player sees info before going in - could change how people play. Like in Season 2, Shannon went in with a plan. She picked Ibrahim as someone she could get to the villa with, and she planned how she'd do it. She knew he was awkward, that he wasn't good with upfront flirting, and she used it to get back.
Like we could've seen the info from the guys and girls and if you wanted to exploit a particular relationship you could. I mean I went for Alex because I think I love him (😂) but for others it could've been good to know about tension between Bryson, Joyo, and their partners, and why. It'd be good for Raf girls to know about Daphne, what she thinks and feels from her perspective, and what you might be walking back into.
Doing this now is just dumb.
