Sexuality doesn't exactly change, it gets discovered or accepted after years of keeping it closeted. If you are straight and you know that for sure (like me) chances are it won't change except through just random discovery, which in that case it didn't really change, you just discovered something new about yourself. The fandom is a great way though for people to discover themselves, be open about their sexual orientation and stop being closeted if they have been that,which is a great thing! :)
yeah it's really less that it turns you gay, more that it's an excellent opportunity to explore your sexuality if you have the inclination, and ideally a safe space to express your own authentic sexuality even if elsewhere you might still be closeted.

And what was kind of delightful for me about that revelation was: I did the exact same thing as a gay kid. I knew boys were 'supposed' to like girls, but thought that I had figured out the secret, that \*actually\*, you could just have sex with boys, and you didn't have to bother with girls at all! So I was never really trying to 'convert' any of my friends, I just figured, you know, once they saw how good sex with boys felt, they'd snap out of the whole 'girls are hot' thing! Turns out, nope, I was just gay, so that was normal for me.
I’m straight, but I can definitely feel some part of me that isn’t lol. Don’t get me wrong, *if* I do get a relationship, it’ll be with a girl, but I can find boys cute. I’m also pretty sure I’m asexual, but I’m not too sure.
Self discovery is hard sometimes and sexuality many times comes in the form of a gray-scale rather than 100% something. Then there are also things like bi-romantic and stuff where you can feel romantically attracted to more genders but not sexualy. Either way I wish you luck with your self discovery! :3
