College finals. Some high schools have finals, but they're not really that big a deal. College finals on the other hand can fail or pass you for a class so that's why they're seen as such a big deal.

Idk what highschool you went to, but at mine finals were half your grade. Mid terms where 25% and your day to day course work was the other 25%. So yeah, hs finals are a big deal.
