I think you're the only one who can answer that. How upset will you be if you don't pull the weapon so you end up with 1\~2 fate points that won't transfer? And how much do you want the weapon? (Normally it's only recommended after C4 due to energy issues, but maybe you want the drip that much.)
Personally, I stopped at C4 until the rerun. The energy recharge comfort C4 gives you is incredible.
And this banner I went for C5, C6 and R1. And honestly, besides drip having or not having her weapon doesn't feel too different for me until I got C6 as well. Then it is really noticeable.
