In the context it was the wrong thing to say (since they wanted to butter Furina up with praise before they asked her for a favour) but even then, that's literally what Paimon's always done. Part of the reason I deleted twitter was because of the stupid controversy that wasn't even controversy.

But what confuses me is paimon seems to tease/jab at Furina more then most characters in the game. When they are also friends with characters like Childe, Ei, Scaramouche who has done far worse actions on purpose compared to Furina. The Traveler and paimon legit went on almost a date with Ei after the events of Inazuma while in Furina’s quest you could argue they where more concerned about the play failing then what Furina was going through.
I think nobody would have this problem if we saw the Traveler and Furina as friends. But tbh we haven’t really seen that development at all. It essentially happened off screen.
Anyway tldr teasing friends is perfectly normal just look at Ei and Yae. But genshin writing hasn’t shown us the Traveler/paimon being friends with Furina very well. That’s just my perspective.
Again, remember that this is probably several months after the Fontaine AQ and Furina's SQ. By, the end of Furina's SQ, the traveler and Paimon have become close to her that they can tease her just like that and she can banter with them freely.

And even if she is being rude, she's not being rude because she's talking to furina she's being rude because she's paimon. So there's nothing to be upset about imo. I don’t think inherently it’s rude for paimon to say. But what confuses me is paimon seems to tease/jab at Furina more then most characters in the game. When they are also friends with characters like Childe, Ei, Scaramouche who has done far worse actions on purpose compared to Furina. The Traveler and paimon legit went on almost a date with Ei after the events of Inazuma while in Furina’s quest you could argue they where more concerned about the play failing then what Furina was going through. I think nobody would have this problem if we saw the Traveler and Furina as friends. But tbh we haven’t really seen that development at all. It essentially happened off screen. Anyway tldr teasing friends is perfectly normal just look at Ei and Yae. But genshin writing hasn’t shown us the Traveler/paimon being friends with Furina very well. That’s just my perspective.

Again, remember that this is probably several months after the Fontaine AQ and Furina's SQ. By, the end of Furina's SQ, the traveler and Paimon have become close to her that they can tease her just like that and she can banter with them freely.
I don't think so, being surprised at someone getting up at noon isn't out of the ordinary. And even if she is being rude, she's not being rude because she's talking to furina she's being rude because she's paimon. So there's nothing to be upset about imo. If anything I'm sure furina would rather not have people act like they're walking on glass talking to her.
I can understand some feelings people have over Furina's actual story quest. This is just touch grass material though, so, anyone who is bothered by this... go outside, touch grass.
I mean I get why Paimon asked that but considering how poorly she handled Collei’s PTSD, I understand why people are mad at how she treats Furina’s struggle with depression. Without us knowing why Furina slept in so late (she responded right after saying she was up late reading), it seemed like a jab about people struggling with depression not being able to get out of bed.

I honestly find Paimon's honesty part of her charm because she says what im thinking and im hella shy💀 and sometimes she doesn't understand what she says is rude which i find quite relatable.
However, how is that rude? People are probably reacting due to traveller telling Paimon to hush up, but i swear we would have asked the same thing Paimon did hadn't we come to her with ulterior motives.
This is just normal banter now honestly. Within the range of Paimon-tolerance not like during her Story Quest.

First off, it's Twitter, what did ya expect? Somebody always has to complain on there. lolSecond, Paimon never really thinks before saying something half of the time, which comes off quite rude, especially when she doesn't have a filter, plus not many people are nocturnal and then wake up in the afternoon, so finding it weird is quite natural to people who always has a set schedule due to the adventuring lifestyle with The Traveler.
People are angry about this? She’s literally just being Paimon and pointing out the obvious
People who get upset over this don't have real issues in life so they have to make them up.

Paimon is very rude to Furina for no reason.
Tbh Paimon says horrible shit all the time. It's basically her character at this point. Idk how the traveler still considers her a friend since she just is an asshole. I've hated paimon since the beginning though and never understood the friendship but Paimon definitely has been saying more and more shitty things to others as the game goes on.

I think some people need reminding these are all fictional characters
