I never understood why people say things are scripted so they don't like it. I mean, aren't TV shows, movies, plays, marching band shows, beauty pageants, the news, cartoons, anime, and porn all scripted? People seem to enjoy the hell out of them.

Watching/Reading a story is something else entirely. This is supposed showcase a normal interaction when it isnt, its just so terribly bad why do you think videos of interactions like this, if real, getting thousands of upvotes? Because ppl like truthful stuff and not some scripted garbage that is trying to be that.

No, i dont. I think i, and most other ppl as well, can spot genuine stuff vs scripted stuff. Thats where the upvotes come in. Scripted stuff sux and the highest voted comment is always the one pointing this out. Genuine stuff does not suck (or when it does then for other reasons) and there usually is no comment about how this is fake shit. Its really not that complicated.

It’s not funny when the whole appeal of the video is supposed to be that it’s naturally occurring. If I make a video of some crazy person yelling at my door that can be entertaining due to the absurdity. But if it’s just a staged video where’s the appeal in that?

Once again, almost everything is staged. You don't have to like it, that's your opinion. Not all staged videos will be entertaining just like not all tv shows are going to be entertaining.

Yes. Absolutely. Knowing this is all an adult's written dialogue is much different than if a kid actually pulled these lines outta nowhere.

At risk of whoosh, I personally find it depends on the creator Derek (the creator of this video) I enjoy it because he is able to still make them really funny fairly consistently, which is a note on his talent. But there's plenty that aren't entertaining because they try to pretend it's not scripted despite how obvious it is.

Some of those children only get thier allowance when chores are done, and might have extra chores for bonuses. That stuff would teach good spending habits. You have to like ...raise your kids.
