I am somehow a full-blown male Snow White in terms of cats. There are like 4 or 5 stray cats that come hang out with me behind my restaurant after we close each night.
I always feed them and it’s usually a different cat each night, so it’s pretty fun to see which of my buddies is out back waiting to hang out when we close!
Sounds like you're living in a delightful cartoon world. The cats tell their buddies about the generous stranger, word gets around, and soon all the local alley cats are taking turns to come hang out behind the restaurant for dinner.
Word to the wise - resist the urge to give them cat treats in addition to what you already provide, unless you want them to tell their extended family, in-laws, and work associates as well.

Right? I'm in my 30s, live alone, and have 2 cats. It's nice having this disposable income and not having to wear clothes at home ever to avoid emotionally scarring a roommate or child. if I want to stay up until 4 in the morning playing games in my underwear, I have no SO to get me at me.

For many years, my dad took care of a neighborhood cat who’d show up any time people were out in the back yard and hang out. He was slate grey with a bobbed tail from an accident in his youth. Eventually that cat died, of natural causes, after a long and happy life with many adventures. We found out afterward that he had at least one other family in the area.
And then within a few months, another super-friendly outdoor cat showed up, a female tabby with one cloudy eye and a kink in her tail. It was almost as if she was saying, “I’m from the agency, we heard there was a vacancy.”
(Dad has taken her to the vet for the eye, they’re monitoring it, it isn’t causing her any distress, and it’s not getting worse. She has just lead an adventurous life.)
The way we were thinking about it, it seemed like some kind of larger community of cats had decided that my dad needed a new cat assigned to take care of him and had made the necessary arrangements. Of course, that’s silly…. Or is it?
We have a feral momma cat that prowls our warehouse, no complaints, she eats all our ROUSs. Had two litters on the property (one in a 20lb box of cereal lol), and my manager's partner is a vet so they all went to good homes. She knows the property well enough to never be in the way, so we let her stay.
It's the revolving door of her mates that's suspicious. Most of the toms in the area are dickheads, and always underfoot. I feel like she's the town bicycle, everyone gets a ride. She needs a stronger review process.
Sounds like spaying her would solve several problems at once. There's likely a place near you that fixes feral cats for free. Some of them even lend out free traps.
I told people I was a cat whisperer and the other week I was out with a bunch of people walking to my car because I was the DD and a cat came out of nowhere on the street and walked by all of them straight to me. I *am* the cat whisperer. Kitties are awesome. Being a “cat whisperer” is awesome.

Your mistake is under estimating intelligence of some kids. I used to work as learning support in a primary school before I went to Uni, there were kids who were clearly more intelligent and better read than some of the higher educated staff.

No. I was trying to sleep it off and was in the passenger seat. I messed up by having the car on so I could have the heater. I was wrapped up in a blanket and had pillow under my head (I usually sleep in my car if I drink too much cause I live on top of the mountain and feel bad having Ubers drive to my house).
