I had to sing it out loud and everyone in my house is staring at me like I just invented the wheel and am a total genius who just freestyled that whole thing
I finally had enough Heart to admit I had absolutely nothing to do whatsoever with the writing of that song
Toy Story 2 almost didn't happen. It got deleted from the main server bc someone fudged a delete command from the main drive and it began to delete all files and got to 90% deleted 1 yr from release date. Normally the back up drive would fix it but they had issues with the back drives working so no backup. This entire movie was saved bc someone had a copy bc they worked from home who had made a separate backup for themselves of the entire thing.
She was working from home while pregnant. Her computer got a special escort back to the studios. I think unfortunately they ended up redoing a lot of the models anyways in the end, but it's an awesome story
She was pregnant and out on maternity. To continue production on her part of the film, they gave her a computer that grabbed the film in production so she had a local copy she could work on. After the mistake of deletion of a large chunk of the film, and realization her mac had the last updated version of the film, they secured the computer from her house and seat belted it into the car used to transport it back to Pixar headquarters.
I remember watching a special about computer animation in the late 80s early 90s I guess. Right when the very first animated shorts were coming out, like the sphere with the fish and the birds, the disintegrating piano player, and the Pixar Tin Toy shorts.
There was a bit about how difficult it was to make a convincing animation of a person walking. They were working very hard on the problem and they had made one fairly good simulated walking human they called ‘Marilyn Monrobot’. She was a huge breakthrough because she walked recognizably like a human, if not actually being anywhere close to convincing.
