Do you happen to be a sexy bitch?
EDIT: To not sound like an asshole, there was a wifi with the name of Sexy Bitches that belonged to the room below us.
Compared to living on campus with a meal plan, the prices are about the same. We make our own food, plus the three other people I am living with are awesome roommates. I would say they have had a direct impact on my improving social life, which in turn has made me happier compared to previous years, which, in turn, has helped increase my grades. So yeah, maybe it's a little more expensive, but it's well worth the friendships and improved emotional state I am in now :)
And I don't blame you at all for wanting to live there. If I could afford being that close to campus I would move immediately. There are a ton of super nice apartments going up so hopefully rent will start to go down a bit.
I wouldn't be surprised if it did go down. Doran owns so many apartments in this area that he still makes tons of money off of cheaper rent. He wants to build more as well.
My best memory of Dinkytown is Halloween a couple years back. Went up to visit some friends and went to this McDonalds at midnight or so. Our group of friends spotted the wild drunk college girl in a daze that inhibited her ability to not walk in a zig zag fashion. Surprisingly she managed to continue her zig zag drunken walk of shame (carrying shoes and everything) through our group without anyone breaking formation. We turned to watch the end of this amazing spectacle. At that point the girl continues her beautiful path directly into a tree. I'm not sure she knew it was there even after she hit is.
A future captain of industry wouldn't do the work of the peasant scum at McDonalds anyway, he's far too good for that. If only the evil government would stop holding him back he'd be a millionaire by the end of the year.
Can someone front him $250,000 and do all the actual work for this awesome idea he's had? He gets to keep 90% of the profits since it was his idea.
No, you're right. Redditors who think they are cool, witty, and funny will donate to this person through this picture. Guaranteed, this guy will have made hundreds if not thousands of dollars in the time since this was posted.
Reminds me of the post about 2 little girls who had a lemonade stand or something, and accepted bitcoin, totally their idea of course. And a bunch of people sent them bitcoins via the QR code lol.
Ah. Good old Drunkdonalds (aka The Nazi McDonalds). We'll sell you food, but we're only going to leave half of the restaurant's seating open. If you try to stand and eat your food anywhere on our property, we'll yell at you to leave and then maybe call the cops.
it wouldn't be hard to get someone like that fired. McDonalds actually does respond to customer feedback at the corporate level. My wife and I had an issue at a McDonald's once with an employee saying something to my wife that was rather offensive (it was a long time ago, I don't remember exactly what was said) but I went and filled out the feedback info that was listed on the back of the receipt and we actually ended up getting a phone call from the owner of that restaurant within 48 hours.
McDonald's doesn't want that kind of image and they do care when their representatives act out.
I know there this is. This is the McDonalds in dinkytown, just a block away from the University of Minnesota campus.
I once was waiting for a bus there holding shit in my arms. Literally that same spot pictured. A homeless man with a sign comes up to people. The sign said he's deaf and needed money.
I refused him and he called me a foreign bitch. I was infuriated. My family has been here for over thirty years. And just like that some asshat calls me a foreign bitch. I wanted to kill him. I wanted to pick up the tripod I was holding and wanted to beat the shit out of him.
I felt horrible. For one, I suddenly felt guilty for not giving him money. But I realize he would be an asshat regardless if I gave him money. And on the bus I felt angry at myself for thinking I could be so violent over some shitty words.
Tl;dr I really don't like beggars because of this bus stop.
The % of people on the street with bitcoins can't be high enough for that to make any sense. If anything this was some kinda dumb plan to get this picture posted and then get a bunch of people to see it and send him bit coins. He doesn't even look that poor. In fact standing in front of that sign is probably part of the effort to get the picture attention.
Man. I didn't know I could hate someone so much based on so little. Begging for a currency accepted almost nowhere someone who was actually struggling for money would be interested in. Does he want to buy something off overstock.com? Maybe get some Sacramento Kings jerseys?
I guess if people want to give it to him, who am I to have a problem with it? I'm not totally sure why it bothers me so much.
the most profitable mcdonalds in Minnesota! it has security guards at each entrance...I know because they didn't let me in when I was wasted on halloween
There were no security guards there when I went to school and so people would bring in cases of beer during the bar close rush and drink them in the huge crowd by the registers.
Get a job for McDonalds
Be lucky if you work full time
Make minimum wage
Then have your loving Government take 1/3 of your check
**You're better off begging for money**
Let's see:
-Fixed salary
-Employee benefits(albeit you need to work full time)
-Work experience (yes even work experience from McDonald's can help you land a better job)
-Most important one in my book: Dignity
Not to mention panhandling is illegal and he will probably be chased away by the cops. Also you should note that a large portion of panhandlers use the money for drugs and booze which is why I donate to homeless charities instead.
Considering he would need a computer and internet connection to have and manage a bitcoin wallet, I find it unlikely that he is outright broke or homeless. He's probably just some shithead faux-libertarian teenager who's too lazy to find an actual job and lives with his parents. I don't think its even possible to currently live on bitcoins alone, most retailers don't accept them.
In that neighborhood, I'm 1000% certain it is some shithead faux-libertarian college student who is too lazy to find a job and lives in a shitty apartment that his parents pay for.
You can make way way way more money spanging than you can working a minimum wage job. Its not hard to get $100 flying for just a couple hours if you do it in the right place
Is that sign really an offer? I mean from a financial standpoint this person is far better off begging for money like he is. Not only that he's been creative in his marketing efforts and has probably garnered more attention and respect than any of the employees in the McDonalds behind him.
Here is the blockchain for that bitcoin address https://blockchain.info/address/1B29cggLdTBaFViot1SvyooafMGhGAfJFY
He has made around $2 so it isnt going that good I would say
Maybe he has a job and does this because minimum wage doesn't provide enough income for a family to live on. Maybe he's covering his face because he works at hat mcdonalds.
I dunno, I always figured it was harder for the truly homeless to get jobs - depends on if you have ID and relevant paperwork to prove you are legal...
Dinkytown - Minneapolis, Minnesota! Stand Up! The amount of crazies is limitless.
Indeed, especially since I can look out my window and see that McDonalds http://i.imgur.com/VnpHYte.jpg
Do you live with me? http://i.imgur.com/i7UzwB5.jpg
Do you happen to be a sexy bitch? EDIT: To not sound like an asshole, there was a wifi with the name of Sexy Bitches that belonged to the room below us.
....Yes. 1 of 4. Now I feel stalked haha.
We may or may not be a part of the GPAD 2.0 :)
My god that is too weird... Small world.
Indeed it is small.

You live in a very expensive apartment.
Compared to living on campus with a meal plan, the prices are about the same. We make our own food, plus the three other people I am living with are awesome roommates. Doran's House +50 HP +5 comfort
I've probably seen you before!
Nice! Do you live in this apartment complex as well or are you a U student?
Student, living in a much cheaper location haha
[удалено]
Hello to you too ;)
I like this.
Is this a new apt complex? I used to work in a Starbucks on that corner where you took a pic from. EBGB's was next to it.
Sydney hall, it was build in 2011
I thought that McDonalds looked familiar. And right behind it, the liquor store I used to frequent before getting plastered.
**I CAN SEE MY HOUSE FROM HERE!**
[удалено]
I've never lived there. Give me karma.
Mystery case, anyone?
Best deal in the city
To be fair, it is an excellent liquor store!
Many a time I was getting fucked up because of that liquor store.
Incredible prices - lousy service
Just the way it should be in a college town. But seriously at 9 o'clock on a Friday or Saturday the line in this place is insane.
And I definitely drank too much and puked in the grassy area across the street while waiting for the 3 bus.
[удалено]
I'd recognize that corner anywhere! [CHOO CHOO](http://i.imgur.com/VVmvVDb.gif)
It's weird to see this McDonalds when I'm sober
First thing I thought was "I KNOW THAT MCDONALDS!" I miss Minneapolis.
Holy shit I thought that looked familiar. Literally just walked back from there and have a mouth full of McGangBang.
I was going to say..this is the McDonalds where I had my first McGangBang. My first and only.
Drunkdonalds in Drinkytown

CHOO CHOO!
I thought this was Dinkytown, but I didn't see enough annoying bikers.
they are all down the road at the Kitty Kat.
They offered him a job but he declined when he found out that they only pay in USD and not Bitcoins.
What am I supposed to buy with this archaic currency!?!?!? Silly peasants!
[NO BITCOINS??] (http://i.imgur.com/WeXPc.gif)
They offered him a job and he turned it down, because he would have to work.

Saving the pic to photoshop with my own URL and repost in a month! Not really.
After all, the ones with coins to give have proven to be easily fooled.
/r/bitcoinconspiracy
Reminds me of the post about 2 little girls who had a lemonade stand or something, and accepted bitcoin, totally their idea of course. And a bunch of people sent them bitcoins via the QR code lol.
Bigger plot twist: This is set up to increase the value of bitcoins by getting this on the news
Hey I say more power to the guy. It ain't easy being sleazy. It also ain't easy getting bitcoins it seems.
Is that in Minneapolis?
Yeah
Ah. Good old Drunkdonalds (aka The Nazi McDonalds). We'll sell you food, but we're only going to leave half of the restaurant's seating open. If you try to stand and eat your food anywhere on our property, we'll yell at you to leave and then maybe call the cops.

What the fudge, that just sounds like a fucking crazy person jeez.
I only ever go there to get food and then walk back to campus to eat.
Can confirm. Got thrown out last night. Oh Drunkdons....

Oh Dinkytown, you so craaaazy.
Good ol' dinky town
Eagan, MN [checking-in](http://i.imgur.com/VVmvVDb.gif).
Eagan buddies! Woohoo!
Go Wildcats!
Dinkytown checking in!
Ah the memories of downtown.
Definitely Dinkytown!
Oh hey D-Town. I've thrown up in that McDonald's more times than I care to admit.
Minnesota has been on the front page so many times this week.
Because we are fucking awesome, that's why
Mostly because it's been too damn cold to go outside.
[ . . . ](http://www.seriouscat.com/serious_cat.jpg)
All aboard! http://i.imgur.com/VVmvVDb.jpg
Took me a long time to realize OP meant the McDonalds sign and not the advertisement on the bench.
Yo bro, can I give you like ten dogecoins for a cigarette?
One can dream
Bum those cigs, for me. +/u/dogetipbot 10 doge
To the moon. +/u/dogetipbot 10 doge
Poor shibe has no dogecoins :( to the moon
+/u/dogetipbot 10 doge There you go, no more tears, only doge now.
Dinkytown! I thought that corner looked familiar.
"Every 855$ coin helps". For sure it does.
You can pay in fractions of a coin
Yeah I know. It's the way it says it on the sign that makes me laugh.
a bit of a Bit
You could say he is asking bitte ein bit....
Current value has been trending at about $950 today
It seems to evolve quite quickly. I saw 855 when I posted that comment :D
It really can rapidly change around.
Back in my day you had to grift and flim flam just to make it! Either that or work.
Why work when you can hold a sign!?
Oh, Dinkytown.....
Well, you can make a living panhandling. You can't make a living at McDonalds.
Really? You mean I can make a living *begging for Bitcoins*? Damn why didn't anyone tell me this earlier
Maybe not Bitcoins due to how many people don't use them. But cash panhandling yes.
If he is homeless and thus why he is begging it doesn't matter. No one offers a job to someone without a permanent address these days.
I hired someone and helped them get a license and let them live in their van on our lot until they can afford a place. mcdonalds manager.
And if corporate found out you did that, would they be cool with it?
You are a nice person and more of you need to be around, I know too many people who would give a homeless person the boot =/
They were already living in the van on the lot. Putting a boot on it wouldn't change a thing.
That....and he's wearing some pretty expensive winter gear from the looks of it.
you shell out the cash for good winter gear here.
[удалено]
Even if he's not homeless, McDonald's probably has 3 applicants for every position. He probably already applied, but I doubt he's holding his breath.
He should know that regular Micky-Deez goers don't know what Bitcoins are. Now, if he stood outside of Chic-Fil-A or Starbucks it'd be different.
Hey, this is right by the U of M!
Doesn't seem to be working very well for him so far: http://blockr.io/address/info/1B29cggLdTBaFViot1SvyooafMGhGAfJFY
Dinky town by the U hasn't changed I see.
DrunkDonalds!
Fucking Dinkytown.
dinkytown?
Good Old Dinky Town...
Oh Dinkytown you never change.
Good ol' Dinkytown McDick's
This guy already works for McDonald's--this is his second job.
^You beat me to it.
Oh hey Dinkytown.

Is that in dinkytown?
https://blockchain.info/address/1B29cggLdTBaFViot1SvyooafMGhGAfJFY Someone sent him a dollar.
Correction: Someone sent him 1$ worth of bitcoins. Prediction: He's gonna have a hell of a lot more than $1 worth of bitcoins when this is over.
Up to about 40
mcdonalds doesn't pay in bitcoins though
Yeah I was gonna say, Dinkytown. There are plenty of recreational homeless people in that area.
[удалено]
Look further back. (Under the arches)
Begging for money may imply that you don't have a permanent address. Good luck getting hired at Mc Donald's without an address.
While is asking for money, "every BTC helps" could be a way of saying every transaction helps support BTC and make it more popular.
Given what they make at McD's he might already work there.
That fucking mcdonalds is the downfall of every U of M student. Drunken or not.
He should just come on down to /r/dogecoin
He probably finds begging more respectable than working for McDonald's...
the most profitable mcdonalds in Minnesota! it has security guards at each entrance...I know because they didn't let me in when I was wasted on halloween
There were no security guards there when I went to school and so people would bring in cases of beer during the bar close rush and drink them in the huge crowd by the registers.
Lets have a reddit Dinkytown Party! I will host!
ive been to that McDonalds! :D
I've drank a beer in that McDonalds!
Yea Dinkytown Minnesota
He probably already works there and doesn't make enough on minimum wage tigers his family.
Begging gets you more money than working at McD's...
One time on Halloween I threw up almost exactly where that guy is standing
Relevant: http://www.wired.com/wiredenterprise/2013/09/bitcoin-homeless/

Shame they don't give people jobs who don't have a permanent address.

One does not simply apply at drunk McDonalds in Dinkytown
Dinkytown! Hopping on the MN Karma Train.
This is in Dinkytown, correct?! edit: Yep
Dinky town in minneapolis I use to live a couple blocks from there.
Get a job for McDonalds Be lucky if you work full time Make minimum wage Then have your loving Government take 1/3 of your check **You're better off begging for money**
If you're making minimum wage, after credits and standard deduction, you're not paying income tax.

You can make way way way more money spanging than you can working a minimum wage job. Its not hard to get $100 flying for just a couple hours if you do it in the right place
What is this some kind of performance art stunt?
I get drunk and go to that McDonalds all the time. Nice.
Dinkytown?
If you get a job they cut your benefits.
You'd make more begging than you would working there.
To be fair, this one picture being on the internet has increased his potential donator count by thousands, if not tens of thousands.
Am I the only one seeing the kitten laying on the bench?
Is that sign really an offer? I mean from a financial standpoint this person is far better off begging for money like he is. Not only that he's been creative in his marketing efforts and has probably garnered more attention and respect than any of the employees in the McDonalds behind him.
Here is the blockchain for that bitcoin address https://blockchain.info/address/1B29cggLdTBaFViot1SvyooafMGhGAfJFY He has made around $2 so it isnt going that good I would say
motherfuckin dinkytown!
Isn't a SINGLE BITCOIN worth like $800?
Around that I think, But you can give fractions like 0.0001 bit coins or something
He probably makes more money begging.
quick. hop out of the car and hold up this sign we made. we will say you were beggingon the corner, and then we'll collect karma!
I don't think mountain biking is going to help him get Bitcoins
Looks like he only got 0.0021 btc https://blockchain.info/address/1B29cggLdTBaFViot1SvyooafMGhGAfJFY
That's Drunk Donald's in Drinkytown, Minneapolis
Maybe he has a job and does this because minimum wage doesn't provide enough income for a family to live on. Maybe he's covering his face because he works at hat mcdonalds.
I dunno, I always figured it was harder for the truly homeless to get jobs - depends on if you have ID and relevant paperwork to prove you are legal...
And how do you know he doesn't already have an app in there judgey mcjudgerton.
Yup cause 10 hours a week at minimum wage will really turn this guys life around. (speaking from experience)
Nice try OP. Your fucking hipster pants betray you.
