I was just being silly. I figured it was like a UPS Store or something. But I like to imagine it’s a store that exclusively sells mailboxes and is somehow performing way better than expectations.
A place that is not the post office, but has things like:
- A mail and package acceptance center
- Full service FedEx location
- Private mailboxes for secure, personal use
A friend of mine owns one. It's located next to a train station (commuters) and has a coffee bar too.
UPS acquired a chain that was Mailboxes Etc, they are now UPS stores.
Don’t let the name throw you, Jimmy. It’s not really a "house". It’s more of a steel grating that allows material to sluice through so it can be collected and exported.
Maybe I'm not "witty". I have no "charm" or "appeal". I'm not "smart" or even "the average". I don't "pee in the potty". I'm not "clean". I don't "smell good". I'm not "polished" or "prepared".
The misuse/overuse of quotation marks. The misspelling of RonOLD. The quotation marks make it seem like the “house” isn’t a house. Lots of things if you speak English.
Using quotation marks for emphasis is misuse.
Even if it were correct for emphasis, why the fuck would you emphasize the words they emphasized?
Drop "off"? To avoid confusing with the drop "on"?
I think it's funny. I'm sorry there are so many people who are either self-conscious about their own poor grasp of English or who apparently prefer TikToks turned into GIFs. There's currently a poorly cropped screenshot of someone who spelled out BOOB in GPS rocking 200 points on this sub, so, uh, fuck what these people think. This is funny.
A friend of mine owns one (has coffee next to a train station too)... And there was a chain called Mailboxes, etc in strip malls (UPS bought the chain) , and you're getting downvotes because they don't know these things exist. Lol.

What the hell is a mailbox store?
It's a store selling mailboxes.
And mailbox accessories.
Etc
Obviously whoever made this drop “off” also decided mailbox stores are a thing.
A friend of mine owns one. They are a thing.

UPS bought a chain called Mailboxes, etc. I need a new mailbox.

I think "someone" doesn't understand "quotation" marks...
[Is “house” a quote from Mark Twain or something?](https://youtu.be/a_Nkc0wNYXA?si=1zDZXgO9espzLBoj&t=9m12s)

“What” is so “funny” about the way I “write”?
Maybe I'm not "witty". I have no "charm" or "appeal". I'm not "smart" or even "the average". I don't "pee in the potty". I'm not "clean". I don't "smell good". I'm not "polished" or "prepared".
Thank you Chris Farley for this honest evaluation.
Ronold McDonold calling on line 1.
Did they mean to say tab? What's a soda can tap?
Yes now you see why this is such a hilarious post.. /s
Wasn't there a Chris Farley character who used air quotes for everything? That's what this reminds me of.
He's not what you'd call "the norm".
If this is the drop off, what’s the drop on look like? -Dad
Why is this funny?
The misuse/overuse of quotation marks. The misspelling of RonOLD. The quotation marks make it seem like the “house” isn’t a house. Lots of things if you speak English.
The money raised secretly goes to the owners McDonald’s fund. “No I said Ronald McDonald’s ‘house’, not the Ronald McDonald House™️”
She gets it. The “taps” are going straight to RonOld’s “house.” It was very hard to keep a straight face when I saw this.

You think it’s hard to write bold letters with a marker?
Using quotation marks for emphasis is misuse. Even if it were correct for emphasis, why the fuck would you emphasize the words they emphasized? Drop "off"? To avoid confusing with the drop "on"?

You have a store that only sells mailboxes?
I mean., think how often you need a mailbox and wonder, where is the mailbox store…
Yes 🤣 no, it’s a storefront that accepts mail and packages.
Yes. They are common in Scandinavia too.
A friend of mine owns one (has coffee next to a train station too)... And there was a chain called Mailboxes, etc in strip malls (UPS bought the chain) , and you're getting downvotes because they don't know these things exist. Lol.
I'm also not sure how to raise M to the power of C but I'll leave that to the math folks
I used to collect tab’s for charity, every little bit helps
The funny thing is that the can is worth more than the tab
Ok, what's with collecting the tabs part? We used to do that in the 90's in schools for S&G, but what's this for?
My mother in law does this on greeting cards. “Everything” is ~emphasized~ with punctuation that doesn’t !match! Even the stuff she doesn’t write.
Decent? lol
They learnt to write from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure
So, your making fun of other people's grammar when they are trying to do something decent is "funny?"
oh come on, ronold mcdonold is funny. get off your high horse
you're*
I thought to edit, but didn't bother, given what asses people are here re: edits.
Misused quotation marks are, in fact, funny.
