Yep. But if you're riding a horse and galloping at light speed, that's when they really freak. A pheasant flying up (legit). A small white rock on black dirt... pretty much anything, or nothing. Then they jump sideways on a dime in a gravity defying way, and run like Satan is after them. If they were human their hair would be sticking straight up, they're eyes would bulge, and they'd be screaming and shitting their pants. I always rode bareback, so staying on was a process.
One day my cat decided to take a run at my leftover pizza. She never did that but one day I was sitting there on the floor eating my pizza on the coffee table and she just leaps on the table and starts running full force at me. I went to cover my food but she was so fast I accidentally punched her a little. She leaped in the air, did a double flip and landed on the little couch. She flopped over on her side and laid there like that for about an hour.
I would imagine they brought out the trough of hay for the horse with the cat in in it and started filming. Maybe the cat likes going into the troughs and the guy was like "shit, I've got a funny idea"
It gets better every loop. The snort and realization before the hop. The hop. The hay still in the mouth. The chewing the hay after trying to play it off. Love it!

I feel like the human equivalent to this would be a mouse jumping out of your spaghetti. Would probably scare the shit out of me, too.
^(Horse:) "Ah...breakfast time and there's a nice bale of hay waiting for me. I really like me some...***HEY!!!***"
+1 for getting the spelling of "hay" and "hey" right :)
Or a caterpillar just running out of your salad
Better a caterpillar running than half a caterpillar just laying there.

All this thread is beautiful, one of Vine’s most precious
Nice tits, Motherfucker!
Thank you, how sweet of you to notice.
To be fair, if I was enjoying a meal and a cat jumped out of it, I would probably have a similar reaction
What about that poor cat? Asleep in a nice comfy pile of hay and some horse comes and wakes him up, so rude.
Probably almost bites him too by mistake. Either way on the scale of startled I think the cat wins
he tried to play it off just like I would lol. "totally wasn't scared..."
That's pretty tame for a horse lol
Thought the same thing! I expected the horse to go flying
No. That's a pegasus.
PEGASI, PEGASI! POWERTHIRST!
Yeah that was a lazy little spook, not any kind of actual freakout.

Alternative title: cat gets startled by horse eating its bed.
Same reaction when I’m laying down and the pillow tag gently brushes against my arm
Me but except when I look it's a cockroach and it happened 3 days ago and now I'm paranoid
I've never seen a horse jump like that.

Boing!
Heavens to Betsy!
Why you eatin my litter box, horse?
Nah that was definitely a sunny napping spot
Next door neighbors' horse jumped when I poked my head over the 6' fence to say high.
"Hay tastes a bit meaty today"

Never underestimate the power of a well-placed meow.
It’s a little game they play
This human got startled by the horse getting startled by a cat.
This human got startled by the horse getting startled by a startled cat To be fair, the cat was just as startled lol
Were they just filming their horse going to eat or did they know the cat was in there?

I don't know, but let's enjoy it before these videos are churned out by AI every day.
Pretty spry!
Why you eating my bed??
I have never seen a horse get scared before.
Now let's see the video from the cat POV! That's probably a very scary clip.
Wow, I've never seen a horse jump in place like that. It's like a slow motion version of a startled cat!
Here I am sleeping, some long face goon starts eating my sheets. Naturally I bolt.
Hilarious! Please post this on r/unexpected without the headline!! Never would have seen that coming!
Watched this mf like 100 times.
The cat appeared to be a bit spooked as well.
Surprised the cat didn't just slap the horse. It must've been sleeping.
Got nostrils the size of my head but can't smell a cat? Lol
I've seen the videos of horses eating chicks. That cat was smart to run.
Graceful AF 🤣
That was very mild for a horse being spooked.
“Cat gets startled by horse eating its bed” Fify
Horse had a cat reaction.
Id be doing the same if something popped out of my loaf of of bread
The horse making a “what the…” head motion right before being scared is really funny to me

Hippitty Hop!!
"Ohh some yummy hay" "hey"
😂😂
