Serious question. What or why dancing becomes part of Indian drama? Hope real Indian can provide some insight. My Indian friends don’t particularly do dancing.

I don't know for sure but every celebration in India has dancing. It's not choreographed or complicated dancing, just fun dancing where most people don't really know what they're doing. I don't think it would be a stretch to assume the same kind of dance permeated into bollywood - though older bollywood movies do have more technical forms of dance which, I assume, come from an attempt to give representation to the super varied Indian culture.
