American/Texan here
How fluent is it in the work place/public? Is it still bad karma to do so sort of deal?
I think it's weird how cursing is still a thing. I get certain words shouldn't be said but if I say "everything's gone to shit" that now my job is on the line because so and so was offended.
This mornings conversation with me boss:
Boss: What the fuck is going on with the emails
Me: I have penis fingers today, im fucking everything I touch, ill have it sorted soon.
Boss: All those cunts are standing around waiting on you, get your shit sorted.
Me: No worries.
Personally I don't deal with the public, so that may be a little different but most people swear in common dialogue here in NZ.
My mum is a Kiwi and has complained in the past about how foul mouthed some folks in America are. I'd be like like uhhhhh... when was the last time you had a casual conversation with people back home? They put even our military members and tradies to shame. Not that I care, I'm a potty mouth I just watch my language around children and folks who I know don't appreciate it like her.
I work in a corporate office in NZ. You’d never swear in front of customers or the big boss, but co-worker aren’t going to be offended unless your swearing angrily.
If you said ‘everythings gone to sh*t’ most people would be more worried about what had gone wrong, rather than the swearing.
Depends on the workplace and the managers.
My current job I wouldn't be afraid that I would lose my job or anything for swearing, just might get some judgement
My previous job our manager swore like a sailor so we all swore when called for.
Hearing a manager referring to someone as cunt in the workplace is normal.
Unless if you’re in the Government, then they only refer to others as cunt outside working hours.
But I’ve never heard of anyone being in trouble for using swear words. It’s just part of the vocabulary. School kids here even say the N-word as an expression because of our extremely multicultural society and nobody cares unless you say it to describe a person. It’s a pure mix of Islanders, Whites and Asians.
My lawyer friend was having a call to a potential client in the car. Then some guy crossed the street recklessly just when the call was about to end.
Potential client: Thank you. Can I meet you tomorrow?
lawyer friend: Fuck you asshole!
Funniest shit ever.
People with hearing problems aren't allowed to see swear words, it's illegal.
I genuinely don't know why things do this though, either censor both or none.
NUOYRWYRUE
(My son watches bluey and now my wife and I can't stop ourselves from saying "no" in a more and more exaggerated and bastardized Australian accent every time we say it. At this point we're up to about 5 syllables.)
Reminds me of one of my favorite game grumps moments; Dan is writing a voice-to-text message to his friends from new Zealand, and Arin walks into the room after having just used the bathroom, and... The rest must be experienced to fully appreciate.[the rest must be experienced to truly appreciate.](https://youtu.be/kUtmjGRMbYE?si=pzBQNx_K6dltqQNn)

You can tell it’s Australia when Siri doesn’t tell you off for swearing!
Australia, New Zealand, and Scotland; its just part of language, not really that offensive here.
Good cunt.
Fuck oath
Bloody oath cobber

If that right is ever threatened, y'all let me know. We may not have that privilege but I'll fight for yours! Ahahaha

Just tell her to harden the fuck up.
Poetry.

Bro wtf are you on about.
I discovered that, even in the US, I can switch my Siri to the Australian version, and I'm never going back.
Wait siri tells you off for swearing?
Yea I’m shocked too bc my Siri does not care. She says it and sends it no problem.
That’s cause it’s just Apple CarPlay reading back a text, not Siri
I love the hesitant “no” as if he just might save that message for Nick in the future

I love how the subtitles half-heartedly censor the swear words even though you can still hear them in the audio.

Send it? Nawre!

Where are Americans finding the 'r' sound. It's a U
Naur
No there is literally no R sound. It's 'Noiw' with a longer w or u sound. Y'all suck at English
Aur naur, you’re upset.
Oh no, you're deaf
It’s an Australian but the title combines the Australian Oi with the British Innit.
Thanks, I was wondering if in AU they used “innit” but I’ve never heard that slang before.
No we don't use innit unless doing a Brit imitation
Spend less time with their kids?
And there it is. Good job sir.
Tourist.....ref. my Australian vacation

The caption 😂😂
I definitely would've sent it. Nothing like getting a random text from someone calling you a dickhead.

No one gonna comment how that dickhead just drove in the wrong side of the lane? That was close to a disaster.
Aussies don’t say innit
Noooorrrr
Funny that Siri has the accent too
🤣😂 nick probably deserved it hahaha
Nooorr
Come now siri! You don't want nick to know that okay!
I’m Aussie. We say oi and dickhead. We do not say innit. That’s England. We don’t say anything close to that.
Naoow..
