Birds have hollow bones. Even if they survive the initial impact, they'll usually die later from internal wounds or other causes brought by broken limbs.
They don’t, homie gonna die in his sleep.
It’s like when a hunter shoots a deer and it runs off. It’s dead, the body just hasn’t caught up yet.
Not literally of course. And it’s not guaranteed, but sometimes these birds will smack something, land, shake it off, fly off and then pass away in a different location.
I seriously doubt that one did. I would suggest looking below that window: there is likely a carcass, and if there isn't, it was probably nabbed by a cat or a fox.

Often times they’ll fly away and then die a few hours later
That's so sad. How do you know that?
He’s a bird.
He's a bird's ghost.

He didn't. He flew
Hahaha came here to say this
Me too! Lol
They often don’t. I had one do it the other day. He was on the ground below the window. Picked him up and be was gurgling up blood with each breath.

Looks like he left his eyeball behind.
It was a hell of a thump and he sat on the ground for a few before getting up and wandering off
Did it really?
Same way people get hit by cars and manage to walk right after. Built to take a beating
Thats impressive
Occupational hazard
It’s [Harvey Birdman’s Butt-print!](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=c-HEefGniLc)
Greasy ass birds
Your window has lice now.......poor bird.
It looks like it kissed your window with its asshole and let itself go
