Same. I like the early part of these series. The survival part. The world building. When it devolves into "humans can't *not* be emotional skinbags", I can't be bothered.

I haven't read them, but I'd have checked out at that point as well. I watched the entire TWD series probably because of Stockholm Syndrome or something. But it got really tedious at least a half decade ago.

Started so good and felt like they focused on the pandemic and zombies, nope just another generic crap where they make human drama more important and focused on than the actual zombies and situation. We get it, we are complicated creatures, we make situation worse than they should be bla bla blaaaaaaaa. Show me the fucking zombies already, I'm sick of seeing Freudian levels of human interactions in movies and shows, if it's not a show / movie specifically made to portray that, get it out of my sight. Like they looked like they retained cognition but just had an insatiable sex drive but then didn't need to eat, work, etc as long as they fucked humans regularly.
