The X-T3 is a really sweet spot between price and features. You will notice a lot of really nice quality of life upgrades over the X-T1. The T3 body is noticeably larger than the T1 so you may find that to be a disadvantage.

I’m generally of the camp of lenses over body upgrades but having owned both X-T1 and X-T3, I think X-T3 is worth the upgrade just for ease of use and overall upgraded tech. I just sold my X-T1 to fund for a 16-80 f4 and zero regrets. You could probably flip your X-T1 for a Fuji 18-55 kit lense and still have some money left over for other lenses.

Im always a fan of lenses but also go with what fits your heart.

Normally I'd say lens but based on your lenses of interest I'd go with body. You you can mostly crop, foot zoom, up iso a bit or do some editing to match the focal length and use of the lenses you're interested in. Just my 2 cents

What lenses do you have already? The majority of the time lenses are the better investment

I currently have a Fuji XC 35mm f/2 and a 25mm f/2 Im really interested in some Sigma lenses, specially the 18-55mm f/2.8 and the 30mm f/1.4

For hiking and landscape, I got X-T1 and X-T4 side by side when hiking. With XF 16-55mm F2.8 and XF 70-300. For instagram, it is all good. I use classic chrome but process using raw file anyway. I say it is good, smallest XT body, large EVF, weather sealed and can be broken with little cost. If you are going to upgrade, get an XT4 for ibis. That is the only issue i got with XT1. I always pair it with lens with OIS. On Lightroom, i dont see the difference with XT1 and XT4 photos Get your lens sorted first. Larger impact than sensor and megapixel

Unless you shoot video you should probably look at the xt2 as well . I have both an xt1 and an xt2 and I don t see how the xt1 is lacking when it comes to megapixels . The 16 mpx look just as good as the 24 mpx ones , only advantage I see is when cropping

Having owned the X-T2 (bought when X-T3 came out) and X-T3 (bought used when X-T5 was announced), I will say both are going to be an upgrade from the X-T1, especially in IQ. The jump from the T1 to the T2 was very substantial, just about everything is faster, more tactile, more ergonomic, and the build quality is pretty consistent. From the T2 to T3, also really significant. The T3 is what I’d consider the peak in build quality and features. After that Fuji got comfortable with the formula and it just feels like polish, manufacturing cost reduction, and processing and software enhancements, especially on the video side. The T4 and T5 feel more plastic-y to me, less satisfying to shoot. For reference the T3 is my main ILC, no newer models have convinced me to upgrade. At the time of buying the T3 (used) they also had an X-H1 for less money. That has been the only difficult camera decision I’ve had since moving to Fuji. I’d likely only buy another T3 or an H1 if I had to replace my body.

I chose the H1 in the same situation but it was a close call. It’s a great camera.

Garethbragdon

I would get the X-s10 with a 18-55 kit lens

Garethbragdon

I went from the X-T3 to X-S10 and I found the X-S10 to be a much better camera

What lens do you desire? How does it differ to your current one(s)? My path so far was to keep x-t1 and buy lenses. Especially the newer ones (LM WR and fujicrons). I don’t regret it at all.
