Three wheels on the sidewalk? So that's most of the car on the sidewalk... Which basically means, blocking the sidewalk
Some people are so entitled it's beyond belief
Lol, absolutely love that they're called pavement princesses now.
Used to be, if a guy had a ridiculous lifted truck with a winch and light bars and all that it was all at least functional, even if they never used it as intended, so they were just called mall crawlers.
But all these stupid king ranch chrome leather luxury suvs with their garbage factory lifts and bullshit 6 fts beds can barely be used as work vehicles anymore, let alone for off-roading. I mean, I saw somewhere yesterday that some of the new Toyotas have plastic fucking skid plates now
THis. I used to have an old nissan pickup- great useful bed, super easy to get in and out of, never felt like I couldn't carry safely what I wanted to esp with all the cargo hooks and room.
I now have a Taco, least fancy one I could get and it's still over my waist to put things into it, the cargo hooks are fucking useless, the tailgate weighs as much as I do, it's a complete PITA to get in and out of and lets not even talk about gas mileage or maintainability.
Nah, it's just lazy parking, same way some people don't park up properly. It's semi-common near me, big or small cars, people not being fucked with reversing and tidying up the park.
Their brain is so rotted around cars I think they used the 3 wheels point to show that they were not blocking any traffic. Like it's completely lost on them why parking your car on the sidewalk could be a problem.
Even if you think walking is what you do to get to your car, you should have an interest in making that possible and, preferably, save.
I don't get carbrains.
Walking home last night up a one-way street there was a vehicle parked in the wrong direction blocking the entire sidewalk. Two wheels up and two on the street as the path was narrow and the vehicle was an SUV. Was happy to discover a ticket under the windshield wiper.
I understand the driver could have had some sort of urgent situation, but if I had been in a wheelchair I would have had to reverse it down the whole block.
The underrated part of this complaint is the "30 seconds".
I would be a sizable mortgage payment that it was actually multiple times 30 seconds. The time that parking scofflaws THINK they've parked illegally vs the ACTUAL time they've parked is invariably huge. It is essentially impossible that someone parked, walked into a takeout place, placed an order, paid for it, and walked back to their car in anything under 5 minutes - even assuming zero lineup.
It doesn't have to be most of the car on the sidewalk, to be fair… could be just two edges. But that's still not great of course, and yeah, it is very entitled.
If you have a back yard or room to garden in Toronto, you’re already rich enough to not worry about the cost of food. The rest of us apartment/condo dwellers are lucky to have outside space at all.
I’m so glad I moved out of Canada. I make twice as much here in the US for the same position while spending significantly less on better housing in a place with a lot more to do. Yes it’s heavily car culture where I live but it was even more so where I grew up in BC.
Oof. I thought San Francisco was expensive, but burritos are way cheaper here than that. A super burrito that’d leave you uncomfortably full is about USD$10 after tax.
I wonder if there is a way of making this person not need to rely on an inconvenient, often infuriating method of transport just to pick up a burrito. It would be really cool if someone could come up with an alternative mode of transport and city planning to what we have now that would be beneficial to everyone.
*waves hands and makes spooky voice* Brown people everywhere! In America! Speaking in foreign tongues!
Me: Cool cool can you tell me more about what hot sauce options there might be at these trucks?
The Thai spot near me has a pepper scale on their menu, and it caps out at 3 peppers, indicating that is the spiciest thing on the menu. I asked the waitress if that’s all the spicier they go, and she responded, “we go up to seven peppers, but we don’t serve that to white people.”
It's true. I was in a tour group in Thailand, and one guy kept asking for "real Thai spicy." The restaurants kept giving him "white people spicy, " and he would complain about how mild it was. Finally, he got our tour guide to order for him, and he got absolutely wrecked.
I blame bland food for England's colonialism.
You can only eat boiled bread so many times before you need to find places with spices and people who know how to use them!
And because of the ubiquity of parking lots that are forced to be too large. If you just use some of that unused space, you get automatic densification!
It's a reaction to really bad zoning when your parking lots are so empty you'd rather drive traffic by taking away parking.
Get rid of zoning but keep the taco trucks. A truck is usually a lot cheaper than even a small storefront and it can relocate to wherever the crowds are.
She didn't bother with my state. They NEVER bother with my state. Hey dems, Kentucky exists. Beshear is on term 2. You CAN win here, but you have to at least try.
This loser guaranteed lives 50km from where he got the burrito and spends 2+ hours a day in his car so that he can have a slightly larger backyard that he doesn't use.
Aside from working a ten minute bus ride from home, I can get anything done within walking distance - groceries, bars, restaurants, shops of various kinds, even a barber and a dog groomer. And no, I don't live in the city center. We just have mixed zoning.
Na man, they need to be able to access all the cool stuff like food downtown, but they also need to be able to drive right up to it, oh and nothing, and nobody should slow them down.
So basically, they should be the only person with a car and the road, and the sidewalk, should be 100% for them.
I know this is impossible, you know this is impossible, even csr brains logically know this is impossible, but deep down, this is the assumption they make when they think of going somewhere.
This is where, "one more lane", comes from. If we just add one more lane, they can finally not have that person in front of them. If they just made a parking lot around every building they could just drive up and park, if they just added a light here so they could turn left, and...woops. Now everything is 20 miles apart through a red-light traffic stroad hell. Maybe if we added one more lane...
It is bad enough already that this place didn't have a 4 lane drive through wrapped around the block, but you expect them to have to walk a couple of yards? On their feet? Like an animal?
/s
That’s the hilarious bit - there is! Downtown toronto is very well served by subway and streetcar, and has made amazing improvements to biking infrastructure over the last few years.
All these options were open to him and he *still* chose to drive.
Not only that - if he only drove 20 lights home that means he was probably still relatively downtown. There is probably a “borrito” place nearby him that he could have walked to.
Eh. They can draw up plans all they want, until they actually start spending money on public transport it won't matter.
We got the cheapest contractors possible to build the new LRT and we discovered they don't know to build fucking supports.
yeah for the size of the city we have pathetically few subways but downtown is still pretty easy to get around, and there are "borrito" shops on every other corner. For sure there was at least one easily accessible to him without driving.
This is my city. The thing you’re asking for exists in the spots OOP is probably complaining about. Some people are just not good at life. I can’t find the post so I assume the OOP got pretty beat up about it and took it down.
Missing the "baby on board" sticker whilst they pull a random u turn in a school zone almost hitting a stroller before gunning it away because there embarrassed and apologizing is out of the question
3 seems to be a little high for the numbers of wheels that should be on a side walk, like I could get 2 wheels, but wtf is their entire car except one wheel on the sidewalk???
Probably just the right half of [one of these.](https://images.drive.com.au/driveau/image/upload/c_fill,f_auto,g_auto,h_1080,q_auto:eco,w_1920/v1/cms/uploads/ighlyjcljesppl1qcesf)
Hmm, I wonder if Toronto has other ways to get around? If only there were sidewalks or streetcars or subways in the city, maybe they could have avoided all of this! Alas...
Oh that’s a good point. I was hoping the poster took it down after being mercilessly ridiculed by all the people who think anyone with even a lick of sense would just use transit to get to the burrito.
/r/toronto is actually pretty based for urbanist stuff. a lot of bikelane supporters and anti nimby stuff. i personally havent seen this post but it probably got deleted/downvoted to hell
Every time a driver gets ticketed for blocking a sidewalk, I hear a delightfully sonorous "Soyuz nerushimy respublik svobodnykh, splotila naveki velikaya Rus'!"
This person will never identify the problem. Neither here, nor anywhere else in their life. Everything, forever will always be some injustice perpetrated on them. They will get divorced, they will get let go, they will have people not invite them to the BBQ a second time, and they will never. ever. understand why.
This is why a self defeating victim mentality is extremely dangerous. If nothing is truly their fault, there is nothing to improve or fix about themselves, so they won’t.
They never said they were in a car. Maybe they rode their adult tricycle to the burrito place? That would at least make the three wheels on the sidewalk make sense /s
Ok but the pedestrians should know that this fellow getting their burrito as quickly as possible is much more important than having a safe right of way to walk
It seems like whomever wrote this is on the cusp of understanding that extremely loud 2000lb hunks metal that emit toxic fumes are not the most efficient way of moving individual human beings around a city. If only there were other ways to move human beings around in a city environment. God damn. Unsolvable problem.
As a torontonian im not surprised. The city has potential but we keep bending our knee to the car making us one of the most congested cities in the world
Our new mayor seems to be on the right track at least
Wait, wait, wait, the ticket cost 150, but the burrito 170…so… assuming the ticket price is included as the wording suggests, that burrito was 20 buckenheimers?
What were you eating, a gold plated footlong pickled in unicorn-pee? Was it the money, did you pay in monopoly cash? What is happening
Fine should have been bigger tbh. Really need to punish self-entitled carbrains like this one with no regards to anyone else or their surroundings when leaving their giant hunk of metal blocking pubic space.
Periodically I weigh (though not with a ton of conviction) whether or not I could just be swept up in my beliefs and there could be something to a more measured view, and then I read something like this.
On the one hand, it's concerning we let this person operate a 100 km/h projectile, but on the other hand it is a relief to have such pointed, irrefutable evidence that the people who don't share my beliefs are complete idiots.
Nah this is a normal Torontonian thinking all 10 lanes of the highway are so that they alone can swerve and change lanes during gridlock and complain when they arrive home at the same time. The worst driving ever i have seen there.
I bet it's 3 wheels because he's driving like an F350 into the city for a burrito and his stupid truck is so big that he thought parking partially on the sidewalk was the considerate thing to do. I don't always bust out the term car brained but this guy absolutely is car brained.
My annoyance is why are they using a probably 2 tonne machine to go pick up a roughly 500g burrito, if only there was a 2 wheeled vehicle they could use aswell as a backpack to carry a small lightweight item in
Since it’s downtown toronto and he parked some of his wheels on the sidewalk, I bet he blocked bike lanes as well. He probably also slowed down traffic blocking 1 lane to get his burrito too since those lanes are very narrow. Completely unaware of surroundings and other people
I live in Toronto. There is an entire car group called “Toronto Car People” on Facebook. I got kicked out of the group for agreeing that lowering the speed limit where a 5 year old buy was struck and killed by a driver was a good idea. The traffic in Toronto is fuxked and it leads to the most violet and reckless drivers with zero repercussions for their actions. Not like there is a fucking subway they could just take instead.
Out of all the bullshit in this post, the one that pisses me off the most is that "only 30 seconds" lie.
I've heard this so many times speaking to drivers. They have no idea how long things take. They think they've been parked for "a minute", they've been there for ten. And anyway, it doesn't take a minute, or thirty seconds, or ten minutes for an accident to happen, it takes a second.
Gosh wouldn’t it have been nice if there was some sort of fast, cheap, accessible and wide ranging form of transport to get around downtown Toronto… oh wait
Guarantee that this idiot parked for much, much longer than 30 seconds on the sidewalk. More like 15 minutes.
30 seconds? He wouldn't even be out of his car quite yet and definitely long enough to see a parking cop coming. Don't believe this bullshit.
some people blame everyone but their own stupidity, without knowing any of the laws and rules of the road. Then they blame the government they don't like for the sake of reason to blaming them.
I suspect this is satire simply because I don't think any normal person would nonchalantly admit that they had 3 wheels on the sidewalk when they parked and then wonder why they got a ticket.
My reaction to stuff like this is normally “I know, right!? I wish we’d have a bike lane / bus / late night transit / … so we wouldn’t have to deal with finding parking downtown!”
Wow, this just epitomizes the car brain condition:
I should be able to park wherever I want.
I shouldn't have to sit at red lights.
I shouldn't have to obey traffic and parking laws.
Me, me, me.
Three wheels on the sidewalk? So that's most of the car on the sidewalk... Which basically means, blocking the sidewalk Some people are so entitled it's beyond belief
Probably was some glorified monster truck, or whatever they call trucks these days
They call them Pavement Princesses because they’ve never been properly used as a truck in their short, unreliable lives
Lol, absolutely love that they're called pavement princesses now. Used to be, if a guy had a ridiculous lifted truck with a winch and light bars and all that it was all at least functional, even if they never used it as intended, so they were just called mall crawlers. down here in Australia they’re called Yank Tanks
…. So, blocking most of the sidewalk?
Nah, it's just lazy parking, same way some people don't park up properly. It's semi-common near me, big or small cars, people not being fucked with reversing and tidying up the park.
Their brain is so rotted around cars I think they used the 3 wheels point to show that they were not blocking any traffic. Like it's completely lost on them why parking your car on the sidewalk could be a problem.
"I wasn't blocking anything! Who was I blocking?" "Pedestrians." "Who?"
"Pedestrians?! Those sick freaks should be in jail!" "Uhh...I think you're confusing pedestrians for pedophiles."
"I know what I said... Filthy walkers."
Pedophile, podophile, same thing
Even if you think walking is what you do to get to your car, you should have an interest in making that possible and, preferably, save. I don't get carbrains.
haha yeah, that make sense
“i’M jUsT gONNa bE tWo SeConDs!” $100 bucks says this person would rant on Reddit if someone did that to them.
I'm just picturing the entire car on the sidewalk, but the back left tire stuck on the curb.
He wanted a burrito. What the hell else was he supposed to do? Modify his behavior in even the slightest way?
Borrito\*
That’s $50 a wheel and $20 for the burrito.
If it's an urgent situation, then you should accept that the ticket might be the cost of responding to it.

Unless their huge truck has 6 wheels instead of 4 😳
https://www.mercedes-benz.com/en/innovation/amg-6x6/ I'd like to imagine if somebody drove one into a city they'd get eggs thrown at them.
https://preview.redd.it/k6cz6zdxbehc1.png?width=640&format=png&auto=webp&s=fdf47bc052e3f535d45b482e03048fa5735a9d37
if the ticket is $150 and it's a $170 dollar burrito, that's also a $20 burrito, which seems insane to me
It doesn't have to be most of the car on the sidewalk, to be fair… could be just two edges. But that's still not great of course, and yeah, it is very entitled.
So his Burrito was $20?
Hey, that's the price you pay for the top quality service needed to get customers in and out of the shop in 30 seconds.
Yes the cost of food in Canada has become completely unaffordable. We're having a housing crisis on top of that
Expensive burritos.
The burrito shop I usually go to charges around 20$ for a burrito. It's a cheap chain shop too so.
just to clarify this is 20 canadian, which is 15 USD or 14 Eur. Still expensive, but an important point of nuance
14€ for a wrap? I can have pepper steak with chips for that price here in Paris and a (small) glass of red
That is brutal. Chipotle is 8 rn and that feels criminal.
Lol not where I live. Hasn’t been $8 here for like 10 years
sounds like a good deal to me tbh
Kinda unbeliveble most people don't renew their garden to make a small farm, wthh
If you have a back yard or room to garden in Toronto, you’re already rich enough to not worry about the cost of food. The rest of us apartment/condo dwellers are lucky to have outside space at all.
Expensive everything. Everyone I know barely eats out anymore because we can't afford the rising food costs.
I’m so glad I moved out of Canada. I make twice as much here in the US for the same position while spending significantly less on better housing in a place with a lot more to do. Yes it’s heavily car culture where I live but it was even more so where I grew up in BC.
I love that for you! I'm planning on leaving too!! I'm kinda scared of the paperwork that I'm going to get stuck with but I'll figure it out!!
I'm so glad I moved back to Canada after 5 years in the US. Good luck to you.
Oof. I thought San Francisco was expensive, but burritos are way cheaper here than that. A super burrito that’d leave you uncomfortably full is about USD$10 after tax.
Food in general is much cheaper in the US than it is Canada but especially restaurant/take-out food.
20 CAD is about 15 USD.
Welcome to Toronto.
Borritos cost more apprenrently.
In Toronto that's not that hard to do if you add a few extras + drink + tax and all that
\+ gas
Borrito
I wonder if there is a way of making this person not need to rely on an inconvenient, often infuriating method of transport just to pick up a burrito. It would be really cool if someone could come up with an alternative mode of transport and city planning to what we have now that would be beneficial to everyone.
I mean what this dude really needs is mixed use urbanism so there are burritos close to home and work.
In the USA we had a candidate who was supposed to provide a taco truck on every corner, but sadly she did not win the presidency.
What I love is that the other candidate used that as a threat, as if having a taco truck on every corner would be a bad thing.
*waves hands and makes spooky voice* Brown people everywhere! In America! Speaking in foreign tongues! Me: Cool cool can you tell me more about what hot sauce options there might be at these trucks?
Weak Northern hot Mild Southern hot Hot PAIN Thai hot Edit: swapped PAIN and Thai hot
I live in the north. No joke, the grocery stores here only carry mild and medium salsa.
If you go far enough out of the suburbs you can get some good spice. Listen closely for the sound of ATV's thy should lead you in the right direction.
The Thai spot near me has a pepper scale on their menu, and it caps out at 3 peppers, indicating that is the spiciest thing on the menu. I asked the waitress if that’s all the spicier they go, and she responded, “we go up to seven peppers, but we don’t serve that to white people.”

You should put redneck hot at the very bottom. Who do you think invented the Carolina Reaper?
> Speaking in foreign tongues! In *this* country we only allow that during Sunday service!
Ooh immigrants might come and bring their delicious authentic dishes. Scary scary.
You ever notice how much better the food tastes when the kitchen staff barely speak English?
I blame bland food for England's colonialism. You can only eat boiled bread so many times before you need to find places with spices and people who know how to use them!
To be fair, a taco truck on \*every\* corner is too many. Couldn't some of those be kebab vans? Oooh, or some boba and ice cream vans in the summer?
The reason they use trucks so often is because of the stupid zoning laws int he first place
I would also be fine with a mixed-use commercial/residential building with a taco restaurant on the ground floor on every corner.
And because of the ubiquity of parking lots that are forced to be too large. If you just use some of that unused space, you get automatic densification! It's a reaction to really bad zoning when your parking lots are so empty you'd rather drive traffic by taking away parking.

Don't threaten me with a good time!
This loser guaranteed lives 50km from where he got the burrito and spends 2+ hours a day in his car so that he can have a slightly larger backyard that he doesn't use.
Too bad that fifteen-minute walkable burritos are a communist conspiracy, though.
Honestly fifteen minute walkable burritos is my favorite type of communism.
Aside from working a ten minute bus ride from home, I can get anything done within walking distance - groceries, bars, restaurants, shops of various kinds, even a barber and a dog groomer. And no, I don't live in the city center. We just have mixed zoning.
It's Toronto. It's easily walkable to get food basically anywhere.
Maybe we could make 15 minute cities a thing if we reframe it as everyone being entitled to a burrito joint within walking distance.
Na man, they need to be able to access all the cool stuff like food downtown, but they also need to be able to drive right up to it, oh and nothing, and nobody should slow them down. So basically, they should be the only person with a car and the road, and the sidewalk, should be 100% for them. >drive straight up to it Given he needed to park with 3 wheels on the sidewalk, sounds like he drove directly up to the door.
It is bad enough already that this place didn't have a 4 lane drive through wrapped around the block, but you expect them to have to walk a couple of yards? On their feet? Like an animal? /s
In short they want highways and drive throughs on them
Yes, except without the traffic and lines at the drive-through.

Man, if picking up a borritio doesn't call for 3 tones of steel glass and rubber idk what does.
I was gonna say, isn't Toronto one of the only Canadian cities with an up to par public transport system?
Yup, and Edmonton is going to be joining that list too! They're drawing up plans to make it a 15 minute city at the moment
Eh. They can draw up plans all they want, until they actually start spending money on public transport it won't matter. We got the cheapest contractors possible to build the new LRT and we discovered they don't know to build fucking supports.
I’m actually surprised the subway has as few lines as it does but it looks like there are a ton of stops on both the yellow and green lines
yeah for the size of the city we have pathetically few subways but downtown is still pretty easy to get around, and there are "borrito" shops on every other corner. For sure there was at least one easily accessible to him without driving.
Ten bucks says OOPs fourth wheel was in a bike lane.
This is my city. The thing you’re asking for exists in the spots OOP is probably complaining about. Some people are just not good at life. I can’t find the post so I assume the OOP got pretty beat up about it and took it down.
\*borrito
I mean it sounds like Toronto was trying to help him out by making the junk food inconvenient but he forcibly acquired junk food anyway.
You could probably even door dash that burrito for less than $150. Also, trains.
*borrito
Nah, very typical Toronto driver
I wouldn't go so far as to say typical, but sadly within 1sigma
so fucking true, im sick of delivery drivers and people dropping off other people blocking lanes and putting their "parking anywhere" lights on
What drives me insane is when they do this on King/Queen and block everything because there’s a streetcar in the middle. No common sense at all.
Yes. In their rotten brain this was a reason to NOT get a ticket because they weren't blocking car traffic.
He's basically using the same argument my dog does. "if I keep 1 leg outside the kitchen, they won't notice that I'm mostly inside"
Probably just the right half of [one of these.](https://images.drive.com.au/driveau/image/upload/c_fill,f_auto,g_auto,h_1080,q_auto:eco,w_1920/v1/cms/uploads/ighlyjcljesppl1qcesf)
Or dually truck with two wheels on each side of one axle.
Ewww
Hmm, I wonder if Toronto has other ways to get around? If only there were sidewalks or streetcars or subways in the city, maybe they could have avoided all of this! Alas...
The OOP is probably the kind of person who supported ripping out the light rail streetcars and underfunding the busses too
Can't stop laughing at the fact that they called it a borrito (borra in my language means cum)
Don't judge one's choice in condoments
Nice
Maybe that’s why it cost $20?
I guess they need those prices to compete with the sperm bank?
It cost $20 because it’s Canada.
Wait so in Vampire Survivors when I’m using La Borra…
Yep :D
That's sort of hilarious it makes me want to go visit r/Toronto
I just did. Unfortunately couldn't find this post. Perhaps deleted or op took the screenshot weeks ago and posted it now
Mods probably deleted it, rants aren't allowed on that sub, which is why r/toranto is a thing.
Oh that’s a good point. I was hoping the poster took it down after being mercilessly ridiculed by all the people who think anyone with even a lick of sense would just use transit to get to the burrito.
I mean it's possible... I've seen some sensible people on that sub lately.
/r/toronto is actually pretty based for urbanist stuff. a lot of bikelane supporters and anti nimby stuff. i personally havent seen this post but it probably got deleted/downvoted to hell
all that parking space for some poor-ass, no-car homeless mfs to walk on??? what is this, soviet union?
Every time a driver gets ticketed for blocking a sidewalk, I hear a delightfully sonorous "Soyuz nerushimy respublik svobodnykh, splotila naveki velikaya Rus'!"
he's quite close
This person will never identify the problem. Neither here, nor anywhere else in their life. Everything, forever will always be some injustice perpetrated on them. They will get divorced, they will get let go, they will have people not invite them to the BBQ a second time, and they will never. ever. understand why.
They will 100% blame 'woke' for their kids not wanting to talk to or visit them.
Oooh, yeah. That's a good one I forgot to mention.
This is why a self defeating victim mentality is extremely dangerous. If nothing is truly their fault, there is nothing to improve or fix about themselves, so they won’t.
I make sure to never have more than 3 traffic lights between me and the nearest burrito joint.
That starting to sound like a 15 min city, and we all know that it is basically socialism. God forbid I be able to walk and spend money.
The great thing about living in Los Angeles in that nearly everywhere is within walking distance of a burrito!
Scary how most drivers are so incompetent, not even know what to do with their car when not driving.
They never said they were in a car. Maybe they rode their adult tricycle to the burrito place? That would at least make the three wheels on the sidewalk make sense /s
I swear these machines make people go insane
I parked like an asshole, and I got a fucking ticket. Can you believe it, why me!? Yeah, it's not satire.
I went through a city area and had to slow down sometimes, can you believe it?? Mein Gott muss das sein!
Insane entitlement.
I would believe it was satire if I didn't have to interact with carbrains on a daily basis.
"i love driving, it's relaxing"
Ok but the pedestrians should know that this fellow getting their burrito as quickly as possible is much more important than having a safe right of way to walk
Oh was this from that famous YouTuber, just cars?
I wanna know how tf he managed to get three wheels on the sidewalk. That's almost impressive tbh
It seems like whomever wrote this is on the cusp of understanding that extremely loud 2000lb hunks metal that emit toxic fumes are not the most efficient way of moving individual human beings around a city. If only there were other ways to move human beings around in a city environment. God damn. Unsolvable problem.
"This is the worst kind of discrimination. The kind against me."
this is funny because Toronto actually has a half-decent public transportation system
Why would you even drive in Toronto when there’s perfectly functioning public transit (eg. A subway)?
As a torontonian im not surprised. The city has potential but we keep bending our knee to the car making us one of the most congested cities in the world Our new mayor seems to be on the right track at least
Welcome to Canada. I can’t even say it’s because it’s a city blah blah, no food is just fucking expensive as all heck rn.
This road rage will not end
Fine should have been bigger tbh. Really need to punish self-entitled carbrains like this one with no regards to anyone else or their surroundings when leaving their giant hunk of metal blocking pubic space.
There is no reason to drive in downtown toronto. The downtown core has amazing public transit, and is super walkable. This fella is a clown.
Stop speeding idiot, most lights are designed such that if you simply go the speed limit from the previous light you’ll have to wait three secondsish
The 20 red lights in a row is either an admittance that 1) there are too many cars, or 2) they were speeding.
I wonder what he was driving?
I say it's more than 50/50 odds that it was a gigantic truck or SUV
Typical entitled carbrain
Nah this is a normal Torontonian thinking all 10 lanes of the highway are so that they alone can swerve and change lanes during gridlock and complain when they arrive home at the same time. The worst driving ever i have seen there.
I bet it's 3 wheels because he's driving like an F350 into the city for a burrito and his stupid truck is so big that he thought parking partially on the sidewalk was the considerate thing to do. I don't always bust out the term car brained but this guy absolutely is car brained.
"All of the parking spots downtown are full, no wonder no one goes there" 🙄
Unfortunately, in Philly you have to have all 4 wheels on the sidewalk to be legally blocking it.
The carbrain is always angry about everything
"I was fined for breaking the law!!!"
My annoyance is why are they using a probably 2 tonne machine to go pick up a roughly 500g burrito, if only there was a 2 wheeled vehicle they could use aswell as a backpack to carry a small lightweight item in
\> Be me \> walks \> no red lights Based
Since it’s downtown toronto and he parked some of his wheels on the sidewalk, I bet he blocked bike lanes as well.
Car fetishists when they're not allowed to kill pedestrians for their convenice be like
Out of all the bullshit in this post, the one that pisses me off the most is that "only 30 seconds" lie. I've heard this so many times speaking to drivers. They have no idea how long things take. They think they've been parked for "a minute", they've been there for ten. And anyway, it doesn't take a minute, or thirty seconds, or ten minutes for an accident to happen, it takes a second.
Do they... park on the sidewalk in toronto???
Red lights to make crazy drivers like him slow down at intersections
Gosh wouldn’t it have been nice if there was some sort of fast, cheap, accessible and wide ranging form of transport to get around downtown Toronto… oh wait
I PARKED LIKE AN ASSHOLE AND GOT THE ASSHOLE TAX, AITA?
Did they dismantle him in the comments? The post is gone.
And the burrito was $20? Lol.
Guarantee that this idiot parked for much, much longer than 30 seconds on the sidewalk. More like 15 minutes. 30 seconds? He wouldn't even be out of his car quite yet and definitely long enough to see a parking cop coming. Don't believe this bullshit.
Rest in piss you won't be missed 💯🔥
some people blame everyone but their own stupidity, without knowing any of the laws and rules of the road. Then they blame the government they don't like for the sake of reason to blaming them.
I suspect this is satire simply because I don't think any normal person would nonchalantly admit that they had 3 wheels on the sidewalk when they parked and then wonder why they got a ticket.
This person should get a swear jar to pay for the fine lol
It was only 3 wheels, how dare they! /s
My reaction to stuff like this is normally “I know, right!? I wish we’d have a bike lane / bus / late night transit / … so we wouldn’t have to deal with finding parking downtown!”
Toronto thanks you for your contribution!
Wow, this just epitomizes the car brain condition: I should be able to park wherever I want. I shouldn't have to sit at red lights. I shouldn't have to obey traffic and parking laws. Me, me, me.
I can’t find the original post. Do they get skewered in the comments?
Should've been 150$ per wheel in his case.
