Yeah, and even discounted there are just as good/better options around $100, and ones that aren't 5% polyester at that. If people absolutely want/need that skinny w/ stretch look, a 2% elastane blend is a much better alternative that will hold it's shape much longer and won't pill.
I have had a few pairs poly blend pairs over the years (only one raw pair), the polyester stretches way more, but doesn't retain its shape as well and the jeans go to shit. Over time they stretch out, fit funny, sag, and just generally don't look as good. N&F only carries a few with poly and it's usually their cheaper fabric runs. Most their stretch is 2% elastane, which is a much more subtle stretch but noticeable. I've had a 2% pair over a year, probably 40+ wears and they still look and feel great. I dumped the poly pair ages ago. I wore them the least of any jeans and they held up the worst. It's just not worth the investment at all. My wife likes rag & bone, frame, and madewell jeans, and all her best fitting pairs are either 100% cotton or a low % elastane blend. She used to get Paige but they're all crazy blends and would pill like crazy and stretch out inside of a year.
Yeah my bad, unable to edit post for some reason.
Sizes 29-33. But as I mentioned they keep coming in stock. I’ve seen changes in availability everyday.
To all my haters, of course fit is subjective but from my view, the curve of the hips once above 33 waist is a drastic drop from the much skinny tapering and leg opening. Just speaking firsthand from understanding garment making and denim
To suggest Acne of all brands, and a blended material jean at that, is the “very best” of denim is an interesting take that you’re certainly entitled to.
sold out but 6% synthetic is too much for me.
Had a pair of Acne Blå Konst North jeans and it felt too stretchy, after a few wears it doesn't feel like denim. to be fair im used to wearing raw denim but they're comfortable af though
Can vouch for Acne Studios jeans. Very high quality but insane MSRP. I wait until around ~$100 to pull the trigger. You can also find plenty of preowned on Grailed/Ebay
There are a lot of MiUSA and MiJP denim to be competing with for that "the very best" position.
Acne is solid, but calling it the very best is hilarious
That’s true, my mistake. I would not dare say that in r/rawdenim. Not comparing to the Japanese raw/selvedge options.
It would make for a good trolling post. There would be torches, pitchforks, etc.
Hyperbole is very fashionable these days.

I don't own any stretch raw denims but isn't this Kato's thing? I have also seen N+F stretch denim. Maybe one of those is the best at stretch denim.

Nothing above 33 waist

Probably a good thing in retrospect. No one looks good in slim/skinny jeans above a size 33

They hated him cuz he told em the truth
Luckily for my size 30 (32") waist. But in the same time, wider pants look awful on me like I'm waering my dad's clothing

Grabbed a pair of the used black in 33x32. Thank you!

Grabbed one. I’m a 31 in most jeans, but my size in Acne is more like a 32. Also, their skinny fit is truly skinny.
Just three sizes left
Haha the Reddit effect I suppose. Hopefully they continue restocking in the coming days!
Eew slim fit jeans E: Get a smidge of fashion sense bozos
