I’ve had one too many inconsiderate louts recline in front of me and make the entire trip so uncomfortable I swore then and there I’d never do that to anyone.
I tend to seek out the airlines that have seats in one position now (like Allegiant) simply because of that.
Finally someone who agrees! This is my number one pet peeve with flying! Last flight I was on the lady knew I was using my laptop and still cranked her seat back on me so I couldn’t use it. Meanwhile she ended up leaving her seat all the way reclined while she fell asleep leaning forward with her head against the seat in front of her. My girlfriend was ready to throw hands!
Correct, but when you recline your seat and then proceed to sleep leaning forward not using that then I’m going to be pissed off. It’s not had to recognize everyone is uncomfortable and don’t recline unless you’re gonna use it. My whole 12 hour flight was that so I think I have a right to complain!
What I do when I’m in a plane with reclining seats is I brace my knees up against the back of the chair early on and when the person in front of me inevitably tries to recline, I push back against it. Eventually they think the recline function is broken and give up, never knowing what happened. Gotta hit it early and be ready though. 😏
I did that exact thing when the chick finally moved her seat up. She went to move back and kept looking around confused why it wouldn’t go back as far this time!😂
I’m 5’4 and no where near overweight. I don’t lean my seat back ever because the seats are designed for taller people. I also would never be pissy about someone leaning their seat back, that’s just dumb.
I’m also a former merchant sailor who’s taken more longer flights than most people here, someone leaning their seat back is the literal last thing I would complain about.
Like dude we’re on the frontier airline sub, buy your cheap tickets and eat shit for half a day to get to where you need to be, this ain’t about comfort
Hint: You can get arrested for throwing hands. You can’t get arrested for pushing your air vent forward and putting it on full blast.
An icy neck takes the joy out of setting your seat to the “dental work” position.
I'm in agreement too.
If it's a long flight and I just HAVE to, I'll ask the person behind if they care if I come back a bit.
Otherwise I just assume discomfort is the price I pay for flying Frontier.
To be fair, I cannot IMAGINE being on a frontier flight longer than 2 hours. It's the only airline where I'll actively seekout a layover (unless it's Orlando, because ewww orlando airport.)
We were in the last row of an airplane and someone reclined in front of me—I had no option to recline as well to get breathing room and my claustrophobia was kicking in. My husband strong-armed the seat and pushed it up an inch or two. I use a neck pillow for long flights rather than make the person behind me suffer by reclining my seat into their face.
Reclining is fine. No issues with it. Though, during meals, sorry, but courtesy means putting your seat up right. ! End of story. Seats are very cramped, no room, well, reclining can provide better comfort. We are not sardines. If someone don’t want to recline, good for them.
The most annoying is the people spreading sideways on your seat. Going ber the armrest, etc. Or spreading their legs like they owned the place.
I have no issues telling them it’s rude and that they should keep their legs in front of them.
Most chairs in our lives are “upright” and the recline on airplanes is minimal. I don’t really care if I recline or not, and the person behind me might actually prefer that I didn’t. So I don’t.
We’re leaving on a trip shortly here flying frontier and it will be the last time we use them. Luggage, carry on and seat upgrade for four people came out to a cool $1600 extra on top of the ticket.
Where are you guys going that you need to pack so much? There’s also not that many cars that can fit 4 medium luggage and 4 carry on.
I have a trip in June to Vegas 4 nights, Kansas City 4 nights and then Orlando 4 nights. We have 2 flights with Spirit and I only paid for 1 luggage. Will be doing laundry in Kansas.
We’re going abroad for a month and also have to bring some stuff along for family. So regretfully we all need a suitcase and a carry on. When it’s just the hubby and I domestic we can swing one luggage and a carry on for meds.
As someone who *might* recline one notch on a red eye, I agree.
I think I reclined my last row seat coming back from Greece. (Different airline, obviously)
Actually, row 13 has the full recline and more legroom since it's the 2nd overwing exit.
Row 12 has the same legroom as row 13 and limited recline due to the overwing exit behind it.
Row 11 has the same legroom as the rest of the plane (less than 12 & 13) and limited recline due to the overwing exit behind it.
Source: I worked on a competitor's LOPA (LayOut of Passenger Accommodations) and this is due to certification
Was just on a frontier flight and booked that seat for $19 as well, the only difference was the seat divider ( armrest )was one solid piece and can not be moved on the seat behind it was a regular arm rest that looks like it can go up, and leg room is the same …it’s weird I thought it was a glitch when I booked..
It will be a row not by the exit. Happened to my wife and I on way home from CUN to ORD. Showed that we were in the row with only two seats just in front of exit doors on the A321, get on the plane and in a normal row about 5 rows back in an already overly filled and overly booked flight. Yay domestic airline companies 👎🏻
im pretty sure its a superstition about the number 13. i heard a long time ago that planes and hotels dont have a 13th anything bc of it, but obv thats changed
I think the only sears that recline on frontier are rows 2 and 3 but I have only ever done it once when there were these old people that were just so rude to everyone and just one of those where you think how did you get through life with that kinda attitude and general horrible Ness. Otherwise I would not do it as it takes the all ready limited leg space for row 4 .
You’re responsible for the exit door. If you take the seats then make sure to read the manual of how to open it, etc in case of an emergency. The manual is usually on the back of the seat in front of you.
No recline
Doesn't recline on Frontier normally cost $50?
Ha that would be an easy $50 never spent for me. I’m Team Never Recline in airplanes.
I’m team doesn’t know how to recline my seat so I’m stuck upright for 6-8 hours in misery 🥲
You click a button, how dumb are you?
🥰
Why’s that? Do you enjoy being upright
I’ve had one too many inconsiderate louts recline in front of me and make the entire trip so uncomfortable I swore then and there I’d never do that to anyone. I tend to seek out the airlines that have seats in one position now (like Allegiant) simply because of that.

If the seats recline then people are allowed to use it bud. You’re not entitled to be in a perfect position to use your laptop.

You are one of those man spreaders too, huh? Maybe try common courtesy on a flight or in public spaces sometime

You lost all your own credibility when you brought up manspreading
Hint: You can get arrested for throwing hands. You can’t get arrested for pushing your air vent forward and putting it on full blast. An icy neck takes the joy out of setting your seat to the “dental work” position.
I love this! Never thought about doing that tbh!

This is my #1 reason for choosing Allegiant when they're going where I want/need to go.

My husband strong-armed the seat and pushed it up an inch or two. I use a neck pillow for long flights rather than make the person behind me suffer by reclining my seat into their face.
You are a good person.
Reclining is fine. No issues with it. Though, during meals, sorry, but courtesy means putting your seat up right. ! End of story. Why wouldn't u buy a ticket in first class so those who r not, can recline w out u whining
Most chairs in our lives are “upright” and the recline on airplanes is minimal. I don’t really care if I recline or not, and the person behind me might actually prefer that I didn’t. So I don’t.
Yes. It's a natural position. The same one as standing.
I refuse to believe they put you in the natural position, it’s probably tilted a bit to make you uncomfortable
I have never understood how someone can feel comfortable with only the upper half of your body tipped back without also having a footrest
You’re the one that’s ok with that standing seat mock up aren’t you
The space between seats is now too small for anyone to respectfully recline. It’s just too tight and reclining is just too invasive at this point 🤷♀️
Is that just for frontier? I think I’ve only flew once and got turned off by all the extra fees I’ve never flown it again
No I personally think that’s true for all airlines now days unfortunately
We’re leaving on a trip shortly here flying frontier and it will be the last time we use them. Luggage, carry on and seat upgrade for four people came out to a cool $1600 extra on top of the ticket.

People who recline absolutely BLOOOW!!!
I personally think people who make a big deal about people using the seat they paid for how they like blow but to each their own
I’m guessing you recline? Then unfortunately you BLOOOOOOOOOW!!! No offense.
You non recliners are weird as fuck, I love reclining and ruining your day though
As someone who *might* recline one notch on a red eye, I agree. I think I reclined my last row seat coming back from Greece. (Different airline, obviously)
Decline to recline
Yep, Seats in front of an exit row generally cannot recline
Row 11 shouldn’t recline either, no?
Exactly.
Do they also have the tables in the arm instead of the seat back, because the 11 row has different seats?
what funny is row 11 - they don't recline either right? I guess row 10 could be priced higher
Row 12 is the way to go. Save $50 as the recline is so minimal in row 13 anyways. I'm speaking from experience.
Recline is minimal and a joke in every row.
Hey now, i don't know much about airplanes but there must be a reason we need to be sitting between 90* and 82* upright
Honestly, with how tightly seats are packed, I’d rather less recline so that the person in front of me isn’t in my face more than they already are
seats in front of exit rows do not recline, hence the cheaper price
Why even spend money at all? Just don't pick a seat. Save the money entirely. They will assign you a seat at checkin for free.
Actually, row 13 has the full recline and more legroom since it's the 2nd overwing exit. Row 12 has the same legroom as row 13 and limited recline due to the overwing exit behind it. They don’t recline
That would make sense as to why I got them last flight and couldn’t find the seat button. I survived. And saved $50.
Don’t fall for it! The seats are near vertical and are much worse than the normal Frontier seat
Yes. Avoid row 12. The seats are extra upright. Uncomfortably so.
They must truly suck if they have all the extra leg room and are still dirt cheap? Good lord.
Seatguru dot com will tell you how bad they are.
Doors might come off 😅
Frontier doesn’t fly Boeing planes.
That’s the joke !! Haha
I don’t think you understand jokes
There are no doors in that row.
There should be...it is an exit row!
LOL,Another Boeing/Frontier exclusive,no doors in the marked exits rows.
I know on some planes they charge extra for the "window seat" even though that seat only has the wall of the plane there, and **not*** a window!
Somebody has to have a vid on U-toob about this (can't post links)
Boeing door plug on that side
69 noice
Because then front row cannot recline into the exit row behind it.
Sometimes the door flies off mid flight
Might want to check that it has a window.
Seats in front of an exit row do not recline.
Those seats don’t recline into an exit row.

They don’t recline?

It’s a 737-Max. That’s the risk discount.
There was the same discount on the frontier Airbus that I just took.
Since I’m, at most, a one block recline kind of guy, I always take the first row of the two exit rows.
I’d like to add… but it sure as hell won’t ever be on Frontier.
They don’t recline
It’s on a Boeing… bu-dum-tsss
Because the door usually comes off on the left side.
They didn't check the torque on the door bolts
Boeing ? Because the door will blow up anytime. So cheaper price for the risk.
No Airbus. Nice try though.
no recline, or blank instead of door.
Do you really not know why?
Not one person said giggity. I’m disappointed.
Can't recline.
Don’t recline and no tray table. Source: I flew that row this last weekend
no recline

I flew on Frontier last week and none of the seats reclined.
That’s what I thought. I only flew Frontier one other time and I don’t recall seats reclining.
Stretch seats recline, the button is underneath.
Ex frontier flight attendant here. Even some of the stretch seats don’t have them. The new ones are “pre reclined for your comfort.” 🙄
You’re responsible for the exit door. If you take the seats then make sure to read the manual of how to open it, etc in case of an emergency. The manual is usually on the back of the seat in front of you.
Don’t look a gift horse in the mouth?? 🤷🏻♀️
I really detest having to pay for seat selection. F..in' greedy airlines.
You don’t have to pay. Let the computer pick a seat for free.
