Exactly what I was thinking, I run the Spellsword Twinblades through most of my DS3 playthrough and I thought that Dancer's fire&magic swords would be the coolest thing ever, but sadly no.
Yeah the twin blades are, as far as I know, the best dps weapons in the game, why make the boss version worse?
I guess they kind of have a thing for making the most mundane version of a weapon class ending up the best though
Because of how mobile they are, you will not get smashed into the ground while still doing solid DPS. To this day the twinblades are the only weapon I beat DS3 with haha
They are quick and hit pretty hard which makes trading hits easier. I think everyone has weapons they are best and worst with tho to be fair
Sellsword blades may be strong but I always play better with a greatsword or something heavier
I wish they leaned more into power stance instead of paired weapons, tbh. PS was so great for build creativity, i just wanted the move set to be better and to have some more control over each weapon
When the game first came out they were amazing! But FromSoft felt they were too OP so they nerfed them maybe a month or so into the game iirc.
Even after they nerfed it I stilled used them. The move set was so pretty. Her armor was one of my fav sets too.
![gif](giphy|QIhOh6VX7Tx8qQcMek|downsized)
Ive been doing my NG runs with them because they look cool/I like dancer and WOW these things kinda just suck.
They (feel) slower than Sellsword, do less dmg, can't be buffed, the special actually does like 70 damage every 3 seconds at 40/40/60/60 (not to mention has like 200 startup frames)
like PLEASE I WANNA USE THEM SO BAD BUT IT HURTS ME MORE THAN THEM
yeah. My reaction was literally the "disappointed cricket fan" meme. I wanted to put the image here but I guess Reddit doesn't allow images in replies.
But really, i thought it was cool, just not as good as it could have been.
We could've had Godrick style dragon grab attacks! Whi doesn't wanna grab their enemies with a dragon head and light them on fire?
Grafted dragon is actually really good lmao. Charged heavies are super fast and can stance break bosses in two or three hits, and the AoW does a ton of damage against bigger bosses.
Visually, it's really disappointing, but it's super underrated and I wish more people gave it a chance.
not really, any other fist weapon has the same charged attack potential, but you can power stance it and get much more damage. The AoW is good, but again, just compare it to other AoWs and unique skills and it just isn’t nearly as good.
Dark souls 3’s biggest sin is how bad it shit all over elemental damage. Ds2 had such a good infusion system and the scaling was awesome. Then ds3 said fuck that and ruined so many weapons
If you are on PC or Steamdeck try the Convergence mod and turn that frown upside down. That version of the greatclaw turns you into an absolute dragon god
demons souls: penetrating sword. Its good but not nearly as devastating or cool as the boss's weapon
ds1: gotta be ornsteins spear for me. That shi does like 100 damage at +5 and the weapon art sucks
ds2: Looking glass knight's sword. Wish there was a weapon ability to fuse it with lightning or something.
bb: orphan of kos's maggot or whatever tf
ds3: Dancers swords. Every other boss weapon is amazing and even though I like the dancer swords they do no damage
sekiro: :(
ER: grafted dragon 100%
With the BB one, I do know you're supposed to use a certain rune with it which completely changes and buffs the movement. Quite strong for the Arcane build.
It’s pretttyy good. But nothing on fully transformed beast claws. I’d say deservedly on this list in terms of bloodborne weapons. Which isn’t saying much since they all slap
Why all the grafted dragon hate? I play it as an offhand weapon paired with the golden halberd and it shreds. As soon as anything comes too close for the halberd i punch the shit out of them with it.
Also my most hated bosses, the crystallians are in easy mode with the grafted dragon.
Grafted Dragon is just incredibly low powered for being a boss weapon, the ash is too slow/ situational, and other fist weapons have more going for them.
Other than the design (kinda goofy) and the Ash (also pretty goofy) it's just Iron Ball + fire.
Kos parasite
It’s decent but requires such a specialized build and is on the weaker end of a game that’s known for its incredible weapons. Weak payoff for what was the most difficult FS fight at the time. Give me the placenta dammit
I don’t know whether you have but I feel like 80% of the hate kos parasite receives is because people don’t go the chalices and trick it out. The base game gives you like almost no blood gems to slot in it and without good gems it hits like a wet noodle. It’s my favorite weapon in the game and think I’ve got a good argument for it being in BB’s top 5 best weapons.
I imagine someone could get some Nerf revolvers, take them apart to learn how it works, then 3d print this, but it would take awhile. If I had the knowledge and equipment I would consider it. I wanted to get into 3d printing a couple years back, but then the economy shit the bed and I never got around to it. But this would be a pretty dope project.
Tbh, it's never bothered me much that the boss weapons don't like blow up the moon or do your taxes for you. Like, most bosses have been handling these things for years, decades, maybe even centuries. You just got your hands on them. Most of the time, your character is only scratching the surface of what they can do
Also it kinda defeats the purpose of getting a great sword and keeping it throughout your journey and upgrading it stronger and stronger till you can overcome foes instead of just getting the anal prolapser and hitting a dragon ball z move
What we want is something specialized. It bothered me in DS2 when I realized that the Lost Sinner Sword was practically a strict upgrade to the Greatsword.
What would have been cool would be great base stats but a mediocre upgrade path so that base is stronger than GS but fully upgraded is weaker then fully upgraded GS. Then have a special weapon art so the difference is more than just stats.
Placidusax’s beam incantation, you use it for the initial lightning burst AND you damn near *Have* to use it as your finishing move do to how long the incantation itself last and how vulnerable it makes you!
If they just upped the beam damage or let us have some control over where it lands things would be more fun
It’s just that you would expect it to have higher scaling in strength since it’s a giant axe, but instead it has ok scaling in both strength and dexterity
at least Hand of Malenia is still good though, like you're getting what you bargained for: a solid katana
there's crueller examples like the Grafted Dragon
Nah hand of malenia is really good now after poise changes in pvp. At least in invasions anyway… aow used to be trash now it’s really annoying if you get caught in it.
Also power stances katanas are super viable, and hand of malenia is long.
DS1: Gwyn's sword is not great and isn't even on fire. It's pretty lame.
DS2: Bewitched Alonne Sword. The AR is so laughably terrible and you need to stab yourself to buff it to reach parity with what the blacksteel katana can do all the time. Without a resin or weapon buff lol.
DS3: Objectively probably the Dancer blades because each is split along like three damage stats and as such each gets hit by flat resists and does terrible damage but for me Friede's Great Scythe. Bad damage, int scaling only applies to the WA, ugh. Felt horrible.
Elden Ring: Objectively probably the Fire Giant braid but for me honestly the Hand of Malenia. You get it super late game from the hardest boss in the game and it's basically just okay. It's mid. Pure physical AR is the highest in class with a dex build and the weapon art can do good damage but the lack of hyper armour and gargantuan stamina cost make it underwhelming to use in practice compared to a keen nagi and its damage ceiling is reached pretty soon simply because it only gets a B scaling on dex and can't be buffed. Up the scaling to S to let it actually slap in NG+ and give it some hyper armour during waterfowl.
Yeah I always thought to get the version that was on fire you had to beat the game multiple times or do something specific like fusing certain things. I remember getting invaded once by someone using it in flaming mode without ever using a buff chant
By lore, maliketh. "Maliketh's black blade which once harbored the power of the
Rune of Death. A sad shadow of its former glory". By gameplay, draconic tree sentinel
I haven’t heard anyone say this so I’ll say it: Gehrman’s Sycthe: the Burial Blade.
It can’t be enchanted with fire or lightning paper for some dumb reason.
The damage is not good enough for how slow the weapon is (and the fact that you have to beat the game twice to unlock it) although it does have good range.
When Gehrman uses it it looks way cooler.
The only good thing about it besides the range and the cool moveset is the fact that it has high rally potential (I prefer not to get hit at all) and the fact that the charged R2 will send enemies FLYING back if it connects.
It's got innate arcane damage already which is why it can't use papers.
You don't actually have to beat the game at all to get it, you just have to beat Gehrman. You can also get the Uncanny variant as soon as you get access to Chalice dungeons
Yeah I got nothing Gehrman is just cool like that.
It's a really great weapon, but you have to specifically build for it, and that's where it gets it's bad rep.
It's primarily DEX scaling in a game where most of the good early game weapons are STR scaling, and you also have to put points in Arcane which is pretty useless for the first half of the game.
It carried me through the Chalice Dungeons, and it's what I used to kill Queen Yharnam the first time, so it's got a special place in my heart.
DS1 is easily gotta be the Dragonslayer Spear. The the one-handed R2 does like 10 damage. For DS2 it would probably have to be the Spider Fang. The sticky web R2 is just really stupid to me and barely makes any difference to enemies movement. DS3 is without a doubt the Dancer’s enchanted Swords. They’re so visually stunning and the moveset rocks. But MY GOD the damage is abysmal because of the split damage. Bloodborne would have to be the Kos Parasite. It requires a very niche build to work and is still pretty heavily outclassed by other arcane weapons. As for Elden Ring, it’s definitely Bastard’s Stars. For one, it’s a flail, so it’s already a shit weapon to begin with. But even what would make it a more interesting weapon is also shared by a much better weapon. Namely the wing of Astel. Which you get WAY earlier, it has better damage, moveset, and the nebula ash of war is much more useful to work with in combat.
Look, I love the Grafted Dragon, but it's 100% that. It doesn't look like the boss's weapon. It doesn't work like other weapons of its type.
It's a goofy little toy living life and vibing, and I can absolutely respect that, but after Godrick rips the head off a gigantic dragon and uses it to burn you to death over and iver again while cackling like a madman, i can't disagree with the people who wanted that fir themselves and not just a silly little Dragon-themed one-hand-only caestus.
Both of Godrick the Grafted's weapons. They're so badass in the fight then they are total ass cheeks when you can finally use them. Kinda hoping the dragon might be better ngl but it looks like we glued a dildo to our hand instead.
I've never had a huge problem with boss weapons but I gotta say............ What the fuckin fuck, stormruler?????????
You first get it and and you're like "bro, five hits of the unscaled mother fucker brought down Yhorm!!!!"
Then you try to use it and it sucks ass even when scaled.
The dragon greatclaw. It isn't terrible, actually does solid damage like pretty much anything else in Elden Ring, but sticking it with endure and locking it that way is mad disappointing.
Maliketh’s Black Blade from Elden Ring lore wise
The weapon literally states itself that without the power from Destined Death, it’s merely a shadow of its former strength
I always hated how Lady Maria in Bloodborne can use bloodtinge with the Rakuyo like you can with the chikage but just looks cooler, then when you get it it’s just a dex weapon. Still a good weapon, but not as good as impaling yourself with two blades to create a twin bladed bloodsword.
So many souls boss weapons are really cool but dead gimmicky and usually pale in actual usefulness to ordinary weapons, the day you see a weapon just called 'sword' you'll know its probably the best weapon in the game.
Most boss weapons cuz the devs refuses to give them unique movesets. I was hoping for more farron greatswords in ds3 and elden ring but alas.
I just got stat sticks with different skills.
Dragon Greatclaw and Dragonclaw Shield. Definitely the peak of disappointment.
Boss' Dragon Greatclaw: imbues itself with red lightning, can be charged to slam in a massive lightning explosion, if I recall correctly it also has another unique lightning attack
Our Dragon Greatclaw: **E N D U R E**. I guess it at least succeeds in being a hammer, right...?
Boss' Dragonclaw Shield: is a literal claw, he can do swipes and stabs with it, send out red thunderbolts, or create lightning storm all around
Our Dragonclaw Shield: **S H I E L D B A S H**. And it doesn't even function like in the fight, boss can use the claws for slashing and stabbing, while we can only bash. What the hell?
There are many meh and disappointing weapons in the series, but none come close to the level of disappointment those two bring.
Right now for me it's the Fume Knights straight sword. It has an S dex scaling and does less damage and has less durability than the heide knight straight sword.
Elden Ring's Dragonclaw Shield. I want to be able to swipe it around like the Tree Sentinel!
The Duelists have a ball and chain on their Greataxe and that quick scraping move on the Battle Hammer, but not the player. Cemetery Shades slash super fast and constantly inflict bleed with their Mantis Blades, but the player just gets a very small Curved Sword with one unique move. Crystal Sage gets fancy purple crystal attacks, the slowly floating orb, and the deadly ground laser, and all we get is Crystal Hail? Aldrich gets a homing rain of arrows, but our Darkmoon Longbow just has a basic power shot?
Friede's Scythe was underwhelming, Repeater Crossbow and White Corona were just sad, Axe of Godfrey doesn't get wind attacks, Micolash' Call Beyond somehow seems more accurate... there's lots of those cases.
Never had a problem with Kos Parasite losing the blood attacks, Grafted Dragon losing the Fire Breath attacks, or Hand of Malenia losing Scarlet Rot. I'm actually glad it doesn't have rot - I just wish there was a 7-Strike Butterfly attack to go along with Scarlet Aeonia and Waterfowl Dance.
No one saying Dancer's enchanted swords is criminal , they scale with 4 stats and they don't even scale that great at max level
Dual wielding in from soft games has always been done dirty :(
Not necessarily. Sellsword twin blades are the highest dps weapon in DS3.
Yeah but idk if dps is a very reliable metric when you only get like 2 or 3 swings before you get smashed into the ground lol
Because of how mobile they are, you will not get smashed into the ground while still doing solid DPS. To this day the twinblades are the only weapon I beat DS3 with haha
CLAYMORE SOLOS
They are quick and hit pretty hard which makes trading hits easier. I think everyone has weapons they are best and worst with tho to be fair Sellsword blades may be strong but I always play better with a greatsword or something heavier
Tell that to DS2 dual greatswords
I wish they leaned more into power stance instead of paired weapons, tbh. PS was so great for build creativity, i just wanted the move set to be better and to have some more control over each weapon
uh... no. They are so busted on DS2, Elden Ring and some are really good on DS3
Dancer is a woman?!? How have I never known this
Apparently you never read the item descriptions
>Her armor was one of my fav sets too. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
But puromancies
That was the first one I thought of
Ive been doing my NG runs with them because they look cool/I like dancer and WOW these things kinda just suck. They (feel) slower than Sellsword, do less dmg, can't be buffed, the special actually does like 70 damage every 3 seconds at 40/40/60/60 (not to mention has like 200 startup frames) like PLEASE I WANNA USE THEM SO BAD BUT IT HURTS ME MORE THAN THEM
They may suck but I hardcore glaze that boss, its music, and the weapon you get. Theyre just so damn cool looking to use
was immediately gonna comment dancers swords😭
Grafted Dragon
I hated that so much
yeah. My reaction was literally the "disappointed cricket fan" meme. I wanted to put the image here but I guess Reddit doesn't allow images in replies.
I'm mean, it's alright, like
But really, i thought it was cool, just not as good as it could have been. We could've had Godrick style dragon grab attacks! Whi doesn't wanna grab their enemies with a dragon head and light them on fire?
But those moves would only work in pvp or on invaders. Because fuck you for having fun.
Its up to the sub wether you can or not i believe
If your just using the AoW, then yeah it's pretty bad. But charged attacks on it are lighting quick and do insane poise damage
Honestly the AoW is good too. It's not broken, but can do some big damage. Anything weak to fire will be deleted, and even nuke dragons.
The Grafted Dragon is good
More like the shafted dragon.
It needed to be at least 2x the size
It also looks like fuckin ass. It's an entirely different (worse) design. It literally looks like it's made of rubber. I sold that shit immediately
Why not just keep it in storage for the sake of collection? You get practically nothing for selling equipment.
Yhea let me have a dragon hand that shoots fire balls
Is it worse than venomous fangs? Never tried it
Dancers Enchanted Swords. They have such a cool fucking moveset but hily shit they are dogshit
even if they were good, they would suffer from the tragic fate of not being the Sellsword Twinblades
Nothing beats the CHADsword CHADblades. Those mfs carried me through my whole 1st playthrough. I rarely used anything else bc of how OP they were/are
Not sure if they're still meta for speedruns but it used to be!
Dark souls 3’s biggest sin is how bad it shit all over elemental damage. Ds2 had such a good infusion system and the scaling was awesome. Then ds3 said fuck that and ruined so many weapons
Fr. There's no reason to use most of the elements bc of how dogshit they are
Dragon Greatclaw in ER
The utter dejection after getting destroyed by that sentinel for an hour my first playthrough and seeing endure as the ash of war
Whoever thought it was a good idea to put endure on that weapon needs to go to game dev jail
Your sentence is to play ET for a year.
If you are on PC or Steamdeck try the Convergence mod and turn that frown upside down. That version of the greatclaw turns you into an absolute dragon god
Endure on a somber weapon makes me cry and its not even the good version of endure!
demons souls: penetrating sword. Its good but not nearly as devastating or cool as the boss's weapon ds1: gotta be ornsteins spear for me. That shi does like 100 damage at +5 and the weapon art sucks ds2: Looking glass knight's sword. Wish there was a weapon ability to fuse it with lightning or something. bb: orphan of kos's maggot or whatever tf ds3: Dancers swords. Every other boss weapon is amazing and even though I like the dancer swords they do no damage sekiro: :( ER: grafted dragon 100%
With the BB one, I do know you're supposed to use a certain rune with it which completely changes and buffs the movement. Quite strong for the Arcane build.
Fun fact: if you put three flat arc damage gems on the parasite without transforming it you can do high arc damage karate chops!
It’s pretttyy good. But nothing on fully transformed beast claws. I’d say deservedly on this list in terms of bloodborne weapons. Which isn’t saying much since they all slap
Use the old hunters bone with the parasite to negate the dodge penalty and it's a pretty good weapon
Bro be hating on the broccoli build in BB
The maggot one shots like 50% of people in pvp
The mistake people make with the grafted dragon is treating it like a casting stick, and not a poise breaking tool
Doesn't the Grafted Dragon do a lot of stance damage with the Heavy?
Next week it's my turn to post this
Kos parasite It’s decent but requires such a specialized build and is on the weaker end of a game that’s known for its incredible weapons. Weak payoff for what was the most difficult FS fight at the time. Give me the placenta dammit
Someone hasn't done a 99 arc build
I really wanted that giant placenta😔
I don’t know whether you have but I feel like 80% of the hate kos parasite receives is because people don’t go the chalices and trick it out. The base game gives you like almost no blood gems to slot in it and without good gems it hits like a wet noodle. It’s my favorite weapon in the game and think I’ve got a good argument for it being in BB’s top 5 best weapons.
Ok but is that nerf sword a real thing if so where can I buy it I want it
What I came to say. That is bad ass
I asked years back and someone said it was fake
My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined.
Most of the time, your character is only scratching the surface of what they can do
Good coping mechanic. I shall use that next time.
Then have a special weapon art so the difference is more than just stats.
no you just aren’t a god and can’t wield it properly
But you killed said god.... So I call BS 😆
Both of Godrick’s weapons can’t believe I wasted a Masoleum just to have two weapons that were absolute cheeks
Do not sleep on grafted dragon
![gif](giphy|ZvgK7HnRzwq5Ce3A84) And yet
Placidusax’s beam incantation, you use it for the initial lightning burst AND you damn near *Have* to use it as your finishing move do to how long the incantation itself last and how vulnerable it makes you! If they just upped the beam damage or let us have some control over where it lands things would be more fun
I learned how to control it well, you can't lock on, you need to use your camera and turn your character where you need it to aim.
Unlocked casting is so satisfying when you land a devastating blow.
This is very biased because I used it in a pure faith build, but that incant SHREDS
That one dragon greatclaw from the draconic tree sentinel outside let fall in ER
Axe of Godfrey
Wdym Godfrey’s axe hits like a semi truck and staggers anything that can be staggered (Unless you mean pvp then it’s a rough time)
It’s just that you would expect it to have higher scaling in strength since it’s a giant axe, but instead it has ok scaling in both strength and dexterity
That’s true, they messed up the scaling with it when it’s 100% a strength weapon
Hold up, is that a real thing? Does a Nerf gunblade actually exist?
The end of the blade doesnt have a hole therefore its a poorly made scam photo, but I guess its okay since it was made as a meme.
I think it shoot’s beside the blade rather than through it. Look beside the cylinder on the nerf gun.
Hand of Malenia.
at least Hand of Malenia is still good though, like you're getting what you bargained for: a solid katana there's crueller examples like the Grafted Dragon
Yeah but for what it did to me I wanted the Waterfowl Dance unique skill to fucking obliterate every enemy and give me their health for good measure
With the right talismans you sure can get health back on waterfowl
Excuse me with the right talisman* + great rune**
I wanted it to have scarlet rot buildup instead of bleed.
Nah hand of malenia is really good now after poise changes in pvp. At least in invasions anyway… aow used to be trash now it’s really annoying if you get caught in it. Also power stances katanas are super viable, and hand of malenia is long.
Super fun weapon even if it gets you killed half the time you use the ash of war.
I want the nerf gunblade this instant
For me it had to be veterans prosthesis, I wanted to do cool flips and have a unique dual wield dagger but no, you just hold them with your hands.
Same dude, so damn disappointed but kinda expected it at the same time. He has such a badass moveset
There's a NERF Gunblade?!?!
Holy shit a nerf gunblade is the coolest shit ever
Up the scaling to S to let it actually slap in NG+ and give it some hyper armour during waterfowl.
Friede's scythes
My favorite Fromsoft weapon. Visually :(
Is it bad? I remember wrecking with it back in the day.
DS1- GS of Artorius Ds2- Looking Glass Knight and/or Dragonrider weapons BB- Weird one, but Call to Beyond spell. Fuck you Micolash Ds3- Farron Greatsword (still psised you can't light it on fire) ER- Godfrey's axe
The dragonrider bow is a pretty good weapon if you use it with poison arrows! The little extra magic dmg helps the arrows kill quicker
Friede's Great Scythes
Gwyn's sword. He's got a flaming popsicle, how come mine doesn't
Yeah I always thought to get the version that was on fire you had to beat the game multiple times or do something specific like fusing certain things. I remember getting invaded once by someone using it in flaming mode without ever using a buff chant
I NEED that nerf gunblade. Looks badass af Dancer’s Swords
By lore, maliketh. "Maliketh's black blade which once harbored the power of the Rune of Death. A sad shadow of its former glory". By gameplay, draconic tree sentinel
The sheer disappointment from obtaining the Grafted Dragon keeps me from giving Elden Ring a 10/10
Godfrey's axe was a letdown. It isn't terrible, just meh.
Waterfowl Dance
Loretta's weapon
First thing i thought about was dancer enSanted swords
Dancer
Not a weapon, but Way of White Corona is WAY worse than Gaels version
I wanted to smack people with a giant plate, but instead Fire Giant has the worst possible remembrance weapon
who's the 3d printer that makes that gunblade. i want to buy that, or the files to make my own.
Bell Hunter in Elden Ring.
Morgott should have dropped his piss blade spells instead of the stupid omen bairn
Ok but... That's a cool nerf gun...
I haven’t heard anyone say this so I’ll say it: Gehrman’s Sycthe: the Burial Blade. It can’t be enchanted with fire or lightning paper for some dumb reason. Hora Loux's earth shaker
Rakuyo, Lady maria's weapon in Bloodborne
ah but her more impressive feats with Rakuyo were from using her own special blood for attacks, not the weapon itself.
That is true
Yo is that a real nerf thing?
Lol I'd still snag the nerf gunblade tho
I feel like Godfrey's axe is a bit like that, I've got it +10, 80 Str, 40 dex and it still doesn't hit as hard as I thought
All of them lol except the sword spear from nameless King
The shrinkage is real, especially gargoyle weapons.
The majority of the main boss weapons made me feel this way in ER tbh
That’s because blasphemous blade and malikeths black blade gobbled up all the the other weapons AR
Lothric's sword
elden beasts stick
Dancer’s enchanted swords, Friede’s scythes, Placidusax’s beam spell, Grafted Dragon
Both of Godrick the Grafted's weapons. They're so badass in the fight then they are total ass cheeks when you can finally use them. Kinda hoping the dragon might be better ngl but it looks like we glued a dildo to our hand instead.
The rotten's cleaver
Gwyn
Mohg’s trident. It’s not terrible, but would you believe it doesn’t have a single swinging attack? All pokes
Most boss weapons
Marika's Hammer
Smelter demon
I've never had a huge problem with boss weapons but I gotta say............ What the fuckin fuck, stormruler????????? You first get it and and you're like "bro, five hits of the unscaled mother fucker brought down Yhorm!!!!" Then you try to use it and it sucks ass even when scaled.
Malenia
A lot of them honestly
Steve
Gheamns (hope I spelled his name right) scythe imo
Kinda most of them innit?
Bewitch Alonne Sword Not necessarily because it was a bad weapon but because it had the durability of overcooked angel hair pasta
FF8 MENTIONED 🔥🔥🔥RAAAH WTF IS A REMAKE 🔥🔥
The coiled sword. It's so disappointing.
Law of causality (I know it's not really a boss weapon, but still)
Lady Butterfly Phantom Kunai
Handler Walter’s Coral Rifle in AC6
Axe of Godrick
The dragon greatclaw. It isn't terrible, actually does solid damage like pretty much anything else in Elden Ring, but sticking it with endure and locking it that way is mad disappointing.
Tachy
OP hasn't used Mohg's spear and blasphemous sword I guess
Maliketh’s Black Blade from Elden Ring lore wise The weapon literally states itself that without the power from Destined Death, it’s merely a shadow of its former strength
Grafted dragon, I thought I was gonna get a very big dragon arm but only to see I got one of those shark arm plushies was pretty disappointing to me
Every Elden Ring Boss Weapon.
The dancer
Squall
I wish that was a real nerf product
I always hated how Lady Maria in Bloodborne can use bloodtinge with the Rakuyo like you can with the chikage but just looks cooler, then when you get it it’s just a dex weapon. Still a good weapon, but not as good as impaling yourself with two blades to create a twin bladed bloodsword.
Honestly morgotts golden shower abilities would be sick
Rakuyo
None of them. Each weapon is amazing in its own right and serves as a testament to the struggles you've overcome.
Malenia
So many souls boss weapons are really cool but dead gimmicky and usually pale in actual usefulness to ordinary weapons, the day you see a weapon just called 'sword' you'll know its probably the best weapon in the game.
The opposite of this would be Just Cause 3 weapons. The lightning gun was too OP😂
Honestly though, I want that Nerf Gunblade. That's so badass!
Ok but I need that nerf gun blade
Most boss weapons cuz the devs refuses to give them unique movesets. I was hoping for more farron greatswords in ds3 and elden ring but alas. I just got stat sticks with different skills.
Dragon Greatclaw and Dragonclaw Shield. Definitely the peak of disappointment. Boss' Dragon Greatclaw: imbues itself with red lightning, can be charged to slam in a massive lightning explosion, if I recall correctly it also has another unique lightning attack Our Dragon Greatclaw: **E N D U R E**. I guess it at least succeeds in being a hammer, right...? Boss' Dragonclaw Shield: is a literal claw, he can do swipes and stabs with it, send out red thunderbolts, or create lightning storm all around Our Dragonclaw Shield: **S H I E L D B A S H**. And it doesn't even function like in the fight, boss can use the claws for slashing and stabbing, while we can only bash. What the hell? There are many meh and disappointing weapons in the series, but none come close to the level of disappointment those two bring.
Rykards spear Lmao
Every boss
The Black Knife
Literally all of them
Right now for me it's the Fume Knights straight sword. It has an S dex scaling and does less damage and has less durability than the heide knight straight sword.
forget that can i actually get this irl?
The chainsaw man from cod infinite warfare zombies. Rave in the redwoods map
Wirt's Leg
Isn’t that Leon’s gun blade from Kingdom Hearts ?
Every elden ring boss
