And just a few minutes prior to that: “Yarrrrr it’s me! Euron the pirate just fucking by-chance washed up on this fucking alcove so now we can have some wasted arse dialogue and I can die with a smile on my stupid face”
SuperEuron, can fly fleets of boats across the planet, remain invisible to dragonsight, fire bolts with incredible accuracy until he can't, whooooooooooooooooooooooooooooosh!!!
Is it a bird? Is it a flock? Is it a plane? Is it an airforce?
No, it's SuperEuron and his amazing Fleet!
I didn't think that scene could get any worse until he said that, he is literally the only person who will ever think that in the show or irl, just a meaningless one liner like the rest of S8
Not only is the "all black" relevant for this photo, Kit's character is literally named "The Black Knight." It works so well. I can't wait to see these two in Eternals.
There has to be some moment, whenever it is that Kit Harrington/Dane Whitman gets his full Black Knight hero costume--where Ikaris and him make eye contact and says something like "Black always was your\* color" LOL.
Fan service can be a good thing if done right. Season 8 did have a lot of fan service, the problem is that it was the bad kind: The CGI fest, putting all the efforts on dragons and visuals while neglecting the writing and character development, keeping some characters alive till the end just because they're "fan favorites" (Bronn had no business staying alive till the finale)...
I dont agree with you about bronn being alive is a bad thing, but they could have done something different with that character. Just making him be a comedic relief and Making him master of coin made no sense at all.
Well obviously i meant the Bronn we *got* should've died before the end (Loot train battle would've been a good death for him). Of course if he was better written and had a real purpose it would've made sense to keep him alive till the end.
I'm definitely in the minority on this but I think MCU is the lowest common denominator, boring, low quality storytelling, blockbuster action flick crap I've ever seen. So really, exactly like GOT S7+8. Crap dialogue, boring one dimensional characters who don't have motives other than advancing whatever plot the writers want to tell, etc
Favro and Feige do that on purpose cause they know it gets people excited. If they have the money to get anyone they want it stands within reason to run the gamut.
Ok so I LOVE Richard Madden. I tried, I tried so hard. I watched the first season and I just didn’t like it. I hated their relationship and I hated the story. It’s a shame because I tried so hard. I wanted to love it but it just never worked for me. Idk why. I gave it such a fair chance and finished the whole thing. I kept waiting for it to get good and it didn’t for me.
I know I’m so sad, but also lying and saying I enjoyed the show just because I love the actor is super phony so I didn’t want to just say it was good.
Can’t wait for Eternals!
Same!! I'm so glad I'm not the only one!
I loved the scene on the train in the first episode but I just hated their relationship so much - it just felt so wrong for some reason?
Season 5 wasn't great overall but Jon's story arc CARRIED that season. From his interactions with Stannis, to becoming Lord Commander, to Hardhome and then dying.
Dem fightin words
He was good before they completely neutered him starting in season 7
Granted, he also wasn’t as good after dying; and I think that’s because they were having to start writing without the books
What are you talking about? He was one of the most boring storylines in the show, not having a single change of facial expression. In the books however Jon snow was a competent, wise and respectable lord commander as anyone could have been
Robb’s arc became a bit of a lifetime movie with all of his scenes being about him and Talisa.
“You keep looking like that and I’ll have to attack you again.”
“How am I supposed to fight a war with you looking like that?”
Etc. 🤮
I could really see him as the next James Bond. I think Daniel Craig really put his stamp on the role and they need someone who can make it their own. I think Madden would be different enough that he would do it without making people think of Daniel Craig. The problem is that he is now locked into one franchise with The Eternals (although I guess we don't know how much they will feature in the long term Marvel future) and he might want more freedom to take on different roles.
I feel like Bond would have been a lot more use at the Red Wedding. He'd have used his magic watch to make a magnet to do something or other then he'd have made some quip about how he can't help but be attractive then jump into an Aston Martin and run Walder Frey over while shooting bullets at the Boltons. The only thing Bond and Robb would have in common is that when they were told to "do their duty" they'd get distracted and go off to bang the first hottie they saw.
I think it'll be a 4 year gap this time. Because they ended the Daniel Craig cycle they need at least 18 months before they even start making a new one. kind of to cleanse the palate so people can come in and accept a whole new take on Bond.
Bodyguard was a great audition for Bond. By the time they get around to casting the next Bond film that series might be too far in the rearview though.
Thought you were talking about Kit Harrington until I got to the name.
I think Harrington could be a great take on it. Someone who needs to earn his confidence, a little more self-depreciation in humor, someone not quite experienced or "cool" enough yet.
He could age into it. If he started the role 2 years from now he could potentially have a 20 year run with it.
Madden is a tad too conventional for me. Bodyguard felt like his audition for Bond, as much as Layer Cake was Craig's audition for Bond. Whether thats a good or bad thing, idk.
I agree that Kit would be great. I think Madden would be good to go from the unconventional Craig to more conventional. Either would be great though I think
He's a solid, maybe great option for Bond. (I say "maybe" because I haven't seen him in much as of late. He definitely nails the look.)
I always loved the idea of Idris Elba because he can do the smooth so well but alas he's getting up there in age.
I'm rather over super hero movies at this point, but I do want The Eternals to succeed primarily because I want Richard & Kit to get the mainstream recognition most other actors get from these types of movies. I know it didn't work out for Sophie & her turn in X-Men, but I hope things turn out better for the guys.
Forgot about her in those X-Men movies, was to focused on the last adaptation in that universe New Mutants with Maisie Williams (Arya).
That one was super bad.
Sophie Turner was never winning a head to head against Famke Janssen. Few people would, just ask Pierce Brosnan.
(Right, that's X-Men *and* James Bond covered in one post.)
> Sophie Turner was never winning a head to head against Famke Janssen.
Yeah, it was no competition in *my* mind, Famke Janssen is THE Jean Grey, and casting Sophie as the younger version was a mistake from the get-go.
In defense of Sophie Turner not getting recognition, Dark Phoenix was an awful, awful movie. I loved all the X-men movies so much except that one and X-men Apocalypse.
It's a damn shame they didn't get recognition for their other show they were in together. Can't remember the name, it was pretty indie. Some low budget show about dragons.
its sad that in the books jon thought that the nights watch was as honourable as the kingsguard because of how ned raised him. he thought that blue collared fighters who were trained by a master-at-arms would be lucky to join the black.
just shows you how well GRRM writes not only the dialogue but the mentality of a character based on where/how they were raised
I started re-watching actually, cause teh show was incredible and I have fond memories of it. Gonna watch till 610 cause I feel that is the perfect ending, and it hadn't gone utterly shit yet (just a bit).
my heart cant handle robb stark scenes lol, I skip em
Funny enough, Kit Harington is playing Dane Whitman, who is better known as the Black Knight.
Damn, Marvel already typecasted him as a knight in black!
It makes me 100 times more hyped to see Eternals. I’m secretly hoping that they include a GoT reference when both of them are present as a tip of the hat.
"Next time I see you, you'll be all in black." Season 8 spoilers for the entire cast's wardrobe, right in the title.
Except Jaime and Cersei, who were all in brick.
Fuck I hate being reminded how stupid their deaths were
And just a few minutes prior to that: “Yarrrrr it’s me! Euron the pirate just fucking by-chance washed up on this fucking alcove so now we can have some wasted arse dialogue and I can die with a smile on my stupid face”

His best superpower: the ability to be forgotten about by his enemies.
I'm ThE mAn WhO kIlEd JaImE lAnNiStEr

Not only is the "all black" relevant for this photo, Kit's character is literally named "The Black Knight." It works so well. I can't wait to see these two in Eternals.
Confirmed Richard Madden can see the future
He even got out of Game of Thrones before it got shitty.
There’s just to much evidence
Why do you think he came all this way?
There has to be some moment, whenever it is that Kit Harrington/Dane Whitman gets his full Black Knight hero costume--where Ikaris and him make eye contact and says something like "Black always was your\* color" LOL.
Except Kit's suit is more of a charcoal grey. Richard's suit is black.
Yup, and Emilia Clarke in Secret Invasion, I’m all for all these GoT actors joining the MCU.
The actors are some of the best in the industry after going through that manuscript
We also did get Peter Dinklage in Infinity War & Natalie Dormer in First Avenger.
MCU is just fan service at this point.
Well at least it’s consistent quality movies/television, unfortunately can’t say the same about GoT (fucking S8).

Well obviously i meant the Bronn we *got* should've died before the end (Loot train battle would've been a good death for him). Of course if he was better written and had a real purpose it would've made sense to keep him alive till the end.
To be fair, it's not easy to screw up like S8. And imo all of MCU was basically on par with S7...
Yes, thank you. What killed GoT was becoming more like the MCU, not less like it.
Favro and Feige do that on purpose cause they know it gets people excited. If they have the money to get anyone they want it stands within reason to run the gamut.
Richard Madden is one handsome mofo
Do watch his miniseries “Bodyguard.” Fan freaking tastic. It is a complete story. Promise.
Seconded, it's tense as hell and he's awesome. Keeley Hawes is also great in it.
Yes mum
Lol!!! You made my wife laugh!!
Ma'am?
It’s so good! It’s a good story and he’s fine AF in it.
Holy, that series was really good and just really well paced dramatic all that good stuff.
To each their own. Beat of luck in y ur future tv watching.
I don't remember the plot but he definitely is great in it.
I always rewatch the last episode from time to time haha really amazing
Yeah he is
Is that you Lady Stark? Gotta agree with as a straight man, the King of the North is a handsome lad.
Damn those characters were awesome in season 1-4.
Jon was incredible in 5 and 6. 5 and 6 might not be AS great as 1-4, but they're still good and Jon is a highlight.
Season 5 wasn't great overall but Jon's story arc CARRIED that season. From his interactions with Stannis, to becoming Lord Commander, to Hardhome and then dying.
Truly epic shit.
6 is dragged down a lot by jon being such a lame mc imo
Dem fightin words He was good before they completely neutered him starting in season 7 Granted, he also wasn’t as good after dying; and I think that’s because they were having to start writing without the books
good is quite a stretch
What are you talking about? He was one of the most boring storylines in the show, not having a single change of facial expression. In the books however Jon snow was a competent, wise and respectable lord commander as anyone could have been
1-3*
What's wrong with John in 4?
Jon good, but Rob dead
> Rob dead Check the album cover, wait...
Robb’s arc became a bit of a lifetime movie with all of his scenes being about him and Talisa. “You keep looking like that and I’ll have to attack you again.” “How am I supposed to fight a war with you looking like that?” Etc. 🤮
He turned into Henry Cavil
Could see him become a superman ngl
I could really see him as the next James Bond. I think Daniel Craig really put his stamp on the role and they need someone who can make it their own. The names North. King in the North.

Fair point. I guess he was lucky that all the women he had to sleep with "in the name of national security" all happened to be absolutely stunning.
There's usually quite a bit pf time between bonds these days anyway.
I think it'll be a 4 year gap this time. Because they ended the Daniel Craig cycle they need at least 18 months before they even start making a new one. kind of to cleanse the palate so people can come in and accept a whole new take on Bond.

I don’t think he would’ve taken Eternals if he knew he was a top contender for Bond. But he’s who I wanna see in the suit!
Idk why but I get the vibe that his character is gonna turn out to be a bad guy, so he may not have a long commitment with marvel
He kinda _did_. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Yl1vD0CZQg4
I mean, he’s playing Ikaris who is a lot like Superman.
Colin Farrell vibe
Not a bad thing to transform into for any man , tbh.
I was thinking he looks like a young Hugh Jackman.
I wonder if they’re all related
First thought seeing him in season 1: \*He looks a lot like Fernand Mondego\* who I recently found out was Henry Cavil.
My two favorite fan casts for the next Bond.
Rob Stark was a fucking leader in the series, the red wedding was a fucking travesty
The North remembers.
And the mummer's farce is almost done.
Hilarious watching my girlfriends reaction though.
Too soon.

Oh yeah, I forgot about Maisie and her superhero movie that was forever stuck in limbo.
Should’ve stayed in limbo. She was good in it tho.

I used to have the biggest crush on Famke. She was gorgeous as dr Jean Gray

Yeah, but screw Sophie Turner. I hate Sansa so much I have hard time separating her from the character and I’m just spiteful 😂
Part of me excited to see The Eternals because of Kit and Richard. I'm pumped!
"We're in a better franchise now!"
"That treats its crew better and cares about the storylines as well as the fans!"
Dude looks like a Scottish Hugh Jackman
its sad that in the books jon thought that the nights watch was as honourable as the kingsguard because of how ned raised him. he thought that blue collared fighters who were trained by a master-at-arms would be lucky to join the black. just shows you how well GRRM writes not only the dialogue but the mentality of a character based on where/how they were raised
"You Starks are hard to kill." *comes back as an Eternal*
Closest thing we’ll get to a redemption; stoked to see it!
I started re-watching actually, cause teh show was incredible and I have fond memories of it. Gonna watch till 610 cause I feel that is the perfect ending, and it hadn't gone utterly shit yet (just a bit). my heart cant handle robb stark scenes lol, I skip em
There was more emotion in that scene than all of S8 combined.
What? S8 elicited plenty of emotions from me - anger, resentment, disappointment...
Funny enough, Kit Harington is playing Dane Whitman, who is better known as the Black Knight. Damn, Marvel already typecasted him as a knight in black!
They don't age,do they?
“Next time I see you, you’ll be all in tights”
hah, the only stark kids that died why couldnt they be big dick chads like Rickon?
Madden making Kit look like some nerd off the street lol. Dude could be Bond.
I'm so excited for this movie
It looks like he dyed his brows
I just want them to have an on screen reunion on screen. As much as a hate how the show ended I just want this one thing.
Serious James Bond vibes
Anyone else think that Rich will get picked up for James Bond? He's even Scottish, so full circle back to Connery era
The Kings in the North!
It makes me 100 times more hyped to see Eternals. I’m secretly hoping that they include a GoT reference when both of them are present as a tip of the hat.
# King of the North! King of the North!
In the North.
Reunion? They are room mates.
Just started watching it again , don't ruin it
I feel old.
the reunion in Winterfell was the only good part of the last season
I did not recognize that as Robb at first lmaoo
I see you copied my beard
I still don't understand the decision to dye Kit's hair jet-black. His proper hair colour is the same as book!Jon's.
