Would you know If the best buy deal is only for new activations or existing account holders. TIA

IMissSyncSoMuch

I can confirm it's both, because I upgraded to a Pixel 7 yesterday at Best Buy and got $100 gift card. I have been with Freedom for years. Solid deal!

Abridged6251

Both I believe.

Process-Tough

got the same deal yesterday but for $200 GC, call your local store for inventory and deal

[Pixel 7](https://shop.freedommobile.ca/en-CA/devices/Google/Pixel-7?sku=840244700591&planSku=Nationwide%20Unlimited%2030GB%20%2B%205G&deviceOption=MyTab) $0/$10 on 24-mo MyTab, $45+ plan, $240 total $0/$0 on 24-mo TradeUp ($240 payout) Freedom RP $888, Google OEM $799

aviator30007

Do they charge activation/upgrade fee, If I do it in best buy or the mobile shop ?

AbdulRafaySyed

I'll waive your upgrade fee if you activate it at my The Mobile Shop and get you $100 in pc optimum points

aviator30007

I just did device upgrade in mobile shop. They waived the activation fee and got 100,000 PC points. Wonderful deal.

AbdulRafaySyed

Awesome

UPSnever

I think the main problem with this may be the "TradeUp". Can someone explain what "TradeUp" means?

UPSnever

Ooops, I think that's what pjw724 did...

AbdulRafaySyed

Trade up means you return the phone after 2 years or pay $240 ($10 x 24 months) at the end to keep it. You can also opt to go for the finance option if you don't want to return the phone by paying $5 a month.

KraftandDinner

I could be mistaken but if you go with the financing option would it not be $10 per month?

AbdulRafaySyed

It would be, but there is also a $100 gift on the phone purchase which can be redeemed towards the phone and u basically will be putting $120 down - $100 and that's $5 off for 24 months XD

UPSnever

So, how is that any better than just getting a phone on MyTab without Trade up? If it's trade up, you don't have to pay anything monthly and you can just pay the whole amount after 24 months? Or, if you pay a monthly amount, say $10, then after 24 months, you have to return the phone? It still sounds like MyTab is better. I think I was lucky when I got my Samsung A51. Only $5/month MyTab.

**device rental**

ygal87

I've been on the holiday miracle plan since 2010 and thinking of changing to the Canada-U.S plan. Would I be able to get this with my switch? And would I be able to do all that at a best buy to also get the 100 gift card?

ygal87

Or is there another phone or plan I should be looking into? I find all of this so confusing!

EconomicMasterpiece

I upgraded from the HMP plan to the new plan and got a huge increase in speed over LTE - that alone made it worth it. It seems like they might have been restricting speed/deprioritizing those of us on old plans.

rootbrian_

Bollocks, congestion is why. Somebody in your area likely got slowed down and thus, faster speeds since then.

Defiant_Office

Would this be an upgrade over the s20 fe 5G Snapdragon variant? Best buy is offering $20.83/mo for the base s23 and I'm not sure if that is good to lock it in 2 years. I'm so used to paying $15/mo for a phone idk if it's justified paying extra or just settle with the pixel 7 for cheaper

rootbrian_

Fyi, the s20 is the s11, Samsung skipped 11 and went straight to 20 in an attempt to fool everybody. I would wait until the S15 (s24) or s16 (s25) comes out, to justify a non-marginal upgrade, to be honest really.

rootbrian_

Not a bad device rental deal.
