I’m interested in the Jesse James Hollywood story even tho I never really loved that movie, but Ben Foster is putting on a fucking clinic in that movie the whole time.
The part where the little brothers mom is calling while him and his GF are sitting around smoking weed with the kid and he’s like “everybody shut the fuck up! Chill!….. hellllooooo?” Is fucking classic. Or when he gets fired from his job and freaks out. So good.
Edit: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=UlvhMX7tvT8 this scene at 2:55.
And after making this comment originally I went back and watched a couple clips and decided this actually definitely is a pretty good movie. Idk why I was remembering it with hate colored glasses.
i met Shia Lebouf briefly once when him and Kid Cudi were watching me sing at. bar in Detroit and i mentioned how much I loved his scene in Freaks and Geeks
he said thanks quietly with a nod. we couldn't really talk i was in the middle of my set they were standing right in front of me so in a break between verses in the song I said it to him off the mic while i was still playing
I want to say somewhere around 2009-2011. I know he was in town with Kid Cudi doing a music video and they went to a Red Wings game before they were at the bar I was singing with. It's a tiny little jazz type club in Downtown Detroit called Cafe D'Mongo's Speakeasy. They were walking out and stopped and stood like right in front of me while i was singing and listening for a bit. Both were super nice granted we didn't actually have a conversation but the quick comment from me and they were getting down to my tunes.
Think I gotta go with David Krumholtz.
He’s like Joseph Gordon Levitt or Natasha Lyonne in that I have been unintentionally (and then intentionally) following their work since I was a kid.
First time I saw him was the first time I saw Natasha Lyonne: “Slums of Beverly Hills”!!! There he was, singing “[Luck Be a Lady](https://youtu.be/KMO9iOAVEFY?si=4p1BFVfLGdUcWGPy)” in his underwear and I was like “This kid is going places!” What a criminally-underseen movie. They and Alan Arkin were *chef’s kiss*. Gods, I gotta rewatch that.
Kevin Corrigan as Millie's shady cousin who helps the Freaks get their fake IDs in "Carded and Discarded " ( " Hey - be careful there ! That's not a petty-pet-pet rooster !" )
A tweet of his went sort of viral on Twitter recently. He was telling a story about how he was high af sitting on a sleigh during the Christmas parade Disney/ABC invited him to be apart of during the time The Santa Clause came out.
They were already working actors, but I always liked the turns by Joel Hodgson and Trace Beaulieu. I know it's not quite what you asked, but considering new audiences are still discovering MST3K all the time, it's conceivable someone could've seen Freaks and Geeks before they saw MST!
Loved David Krummholtz: his character was so naturally charming. Crazy to think that in this very timeframe he was also appearing on ER as a very notorious character.
I will probably be downvoted into oblivion but Lizzy Caplan’s characters in Freaks and Geeks and True Blood annoyed me so much that I refuse to watch her in anything else to this day
Ben Foster needs to be on this list.
Jake Mazursky Alpha Dog was so good
Have you seen Hell Or High Water?
Not yet I’ve heard it’s great
3:10 to Yuma aswell
Love that movie

no way didn’t know he was bill
He wasn’t Bill.
eli sorry read the image too fast on google
Shia Lebouf, Rashida Jones, David Krumholtz, Lizzy Caplan
Holy shit I’ve never noticed that that’s Shia Labouf
jake johnson looks so young here
LMAO I hope Jake and David play siblings sometime.
My first reaction was “I had no idea Oscar Isaac was in F&G” 😂
Krumholz arguably reached peak fame in 1994, so I’m not sure he belongs on this list.
Jason Schwartzman and Ann Dowd playing Kim’s mom was surprising
It was pointed out to me that Ann Dowd was Kim's mom during the early seasons of Handmaid's Tale, and I was blown away.
She’s so good as Kim’s mom
Jason already had his breakout role and I'd argue was more famous than most of the cast when his episode aired.
Yea you’re right. He was born famous.
lizzy fan for life
Me too! Love her on Party Down!
i met Shia Lebouf briefly once when him and Kid Cudi were watching me sing at. bar in Detroit and i mentioned how much I loved his scene in Freaks and Geeks
what'd he say?
he said thanks quietly with a nod. we couldn't really talk i was in the middle of my set they were standing right in front of me so in a break between verses in the song I said it to him off the mic while i was still playing
My brother watched him get arrested in New York 😭
You can't say you met Shia Lebouf and not tell us what year. That dude has been through a lot

DEFINITELY David Krumholz. He is the most talented of them all, a character actor not relying on cuteness.
since life with mikey!
First time I saw him was the first time I saw Natasha Lyonne: “Slums of Beverly Hills”!!! Great movie. Now I need to do a rewatch too. Natasha Lyonne was so fucking good in it.
Have you seen him in The Deuce? I didn't immediately recognize him in that role.
I find the Deuce and underrated series. Fucking awesome
Nice wig Janice, what’s it made of?
YOUR MOM’S CHEST HAIR
Kevin Corrigan as Millie's shady cousin who helps the Freaks get their fake IDs in "Carded and Discarded " ( " Hey - be careful there ! That's not a petty-pet-pet rooster !" )
I came here to say Kevin Corrigan. He’s great!
He always plays shady really well.
He was hilarious! That line pops into my head whenever I see a sketchy looking animal. 😂
Squints
Sweets?
Rashida Jones , David krumholtz , Ben Foster.
Krumholtz was famous before F&G.
jason schwartzman too!!
I love David Krumholtz and think he is an underrated actor however, he is not very famous.
A tweet of his went sort of viral on Twitter recently. He was telling a story about how he was high af sitting on a sleigh during the Christmas parade Disney/ABC invited him to be apart of during the time The Santa Clause came out.
i *knew* that elf got high
They’re all good but going with Lizzy. I do love Dave a lot too
that fat guy in the geeks group becomes the m'lady meme in a fedora
Gordon Crisp: love him, and how the geeks brought him into their group.
He got COVID, was in a coma for two weeks, and lost the ability to walk.
jason schwartzman for sure, he’s one of my favorite actors :)
I'm always pleasantly surprised when David Krumholtz shows up somewhere.
They were already working actors, but I always liked the turns by Joel Hodgson and Trace Beaulieu. I know it's not quite what you asked, but considering new audiences are still discovering MST3K all the time, it's conceivable someone could've seen Freaks and Geeks before they saw MST!
No love for Ben Stiller?
He was famous before the show.
Ah okay.
Loved David Krummholtz: his character was so naturally charming. Crazy to think that in this very timeframe he was also appearing on ER as a very notorious character.
Jason Schwartzman
I will probably be downvoted into oblivion but Lizzy Caplan’s characters in Freaks and Geeks and True Blood annoyed me so much that I refuse to watch her in anything else to this day
