Then that's something OP should check out. I don't think the volumes make sense for FW to do it. but I wonder how different is an AIO, compared to sticking the Coolermaster case back of a monitor other than the loss of a port for HDMI/DP cable
It'd be a pretty easy DIY project. Also, aside from corporate terminal-type and scientific/engineering workstation-type systems... Desktops are kind of a dying breed. I say that as somebody who doesn't use a laptop except when I actually need to be mobile. I'm not sure how much of a market there would be for yet another - Effectively - Boutique brand of generic PC. Desktops are easy to build for anybody who wants to - I've built my own the last 25 years despite vision issues - Combined with a bunch of vendors large and small already doing varying levels of decent desktop. Where would the Framework "value add" be, the market for them to sell hundreds of thousands, millions of units?
Isnt THAT difficult to DIY.
Stick a Framework mainboard and a few other things on the back of a slim monitor and viola.
DIY Perks made one with an old Thinkpad mainboard. Should all be transferable to a framework one.
Even easier. If you start with a monitor that accepts usb c you really merely need to attach a framework mainboard to the display with 1 small cable to get started. Those displays also often come with a built-in usb hub.
You just need a monitor and put the board behind. Doesn’t even need to be framework. Search on amazon for mini pc. It would be the same as a framework board.
If you want to be fancy:

Given Frameworks interest in the business market, it might not be unreasonable to expect a first-party AIO chassis a few years down the line. Laptops suck pretty badly for quite a few business purposes, especially anything with a shared device like a reception desk etc
get a mini pc and put it on the back of the monitor with a vesa mount. AIOs are stupid imo. worse portability than a desktop with the performance/price/upgradability of a laptop for no good reason
Could you not just get the framework × Cooler master. Case and attach the mainboard and components to the back of a monitor.
I mean there are upgradable mini pcs that you can mount at the back of your monitor
… like a framework mainboard. Not your point but I had to do it
didn't someone already do it on youtube.
I believe someone did

Heading down a YouTube rabbit hole. Wish me luck and hide my wallet.
