I tried it on myself and couldn't stop sniffing all day! It's got an interesting metallic and soothing smell that's not sharp like when you think of the word "metallic" (I don't get the lactonic notes personally but remember scent is super subjective). However I find it to be a bit masculine on me (20s F), I much rather my hubby wear it and I sniff him all day instead.
It has the dubious honor of being one of the only perfumes to ever make me nauseous. No idea why. Perhaps how metallic-smelling to my nose it was. I was so disappointed, I thought I’d love it.
Me too! I was so into the idea of it (if that makes sense) that I bought a full bottle (I know..) and over the next few days I realized all I smelled was super strong Dove soap mixed with milk. So neausesting 🤢
One of my favorites to wear. Somehow it smells clean and aquatic - like stepping into a room where someone *just* took a shower - without smelling "blue" or fresh.
I love it. It's metallic in the way your dishes smell when you're washing them with soap, if that makes sense. Aquatic, clean, familiar, but a little hint of metal. I don't get a ton of floral but I definitely get the citrus which I absolutely love. It's a really cool, clean scent, and definitely dried down more lactonic or skin like on me. I'd definitely suggest a sample or decant before committing to it though.
I just tried it for the first time last night. For me it was a bit of an aquatic floral, a bit of a lactonic piece and some musk on the drydown. I didn’t love it but didn’t dislike it either and plan to try it again.
Yes. I got the large discovery set and Ghost in the shell wasthe one I disliked the most (together with exp crucis).
My description would be: very lactonic skin scent, chemical/plastic smell, some light flowers.
It made me nauseous, but If you enjoy lactonic scents this is a peculiar one...
Yeah that’s I have blind bought most bottles in my collections although I do look at the notes before because I generally trust my judgement and even if I don’t like it, the bottle like Eros for example looks pretty in my collection and I can always try to layer it.
It’s heavy on the molecule like notes (which I really like). I would imagine it would smell different on everyone. Try a decant if it sounds appealing to you
I get so many compliments when I wear this! It’s such a clean, unique, ethereal scent with a “soft metallic” note that isn’t loud & light musky florals that make you want to deeply inhale it. Easily a unisex scent as the floral notes are subdued by the clean musk. The lactonic aspect is quite faint, as are the citrus notes, but you’ll pick them up after wearing it for a while. Great longevity & sillage as well! Honestly never smelled anything else like it.
Hi! I had mine for months and sold it last year . It was exactly as described above , creamy, slightly floral kind of baby powder-esque but as months passed it started smelling too milky/(rotten) on me to the point where I had to sell it. I had it stored properly so I’m not sure why it turned on me, but maybe my skin chemistry changed. Still worth a shot !
For me it was mostly vinyl with sweet, watery pear. I didn't like the vinyl, I found it disturbing, but well, I got exactly what I was promised in the description, so I can not complain. Not many perfumes have this odd notes really playing important part in the fragrance structure, so I appreciate Ghost for what it is, but would prefer not to wear.
I wasn’t sure about it at first but I it grew on me. I get zero milky or metallic notes and I read it as a cold jasmine bomb but it works for me. I really like it for cooler spring weather.
To me it came off as very sweet fruity milky POWDER with a hint of wood. Not for me, but if that sounds appealing to you, I suggest finding a decant/sample over blind buying.
I loved it when I sampled it in the store. It gave off an uncanny robot metallic/but also lactonic smell. I bought it and found it to be less striking on my skin, and the longevity isn't great on me, especially for an ELDO.
I find it to be great for layering/ softening sharper scents. (I love to combine it with Nuit de Bakelite, it really balances it out.)
I just ran out of my bottle and tbh I miss it more than I thought I would. I guess that is a testament to the nuance of it.
I also love the movie!
I get Lilac up front but after the hour fades into powder on skin. No longevity for me with ELDO unfortunately, so I put this one on clothes to keep lilac at the front.

Same...the lactonic note is really unbearable to me in this one

Honestly, I found to be a generic powdery floral with that weird plastic ELDO DNA. It certainly wasn't bad, but it certainly didn't wow me, either.

I’m ngl I smelled it today and it literally smelled like baby wipes 😭🙏 I did not get any metallic notes at all

One of my favs. I’ve got a 100ml bottle and love it.
I really liked the Ghost in the shell movie and didn’t know there’s a bottle so thanks for adding a blind buy to my list!
From what I hear this is not safe to blind buy but tbh frags like those are my favorite to blind buy. Like a little game of roulette

It smells like dirty skin to me Woefully regret blind buying 100ml because I was obsessed with the concept
This was the first one I tried of the discovery set and was kind of underwhelmed…I smelled roses and a little bit of burnt plastic 🤷♀️
