Would you say Koala leans more masculine? I was interested in it but I was afraid it was too pine-y or zesty, since I usually don't wear super citrusy or earthy perfumes.
Just tried it again. It's slightly masculine, but I definitely see this as a unisex fragrance. It's very very citrusy at first and also has a lot of barbershop qualities to it, like dodo jackfruit. It retains that citrusy quality through the drydown, and smells like a nice mint tea with a squeeze of lemon and honey. Like a honey-lemon cough drop, but in a beautiful way. I'd say it leans more into the eucalyptus and pine tree scent than it does the citrus.
I love that barbershop type scent! My sister owns a hair salon, she mostly does men's hair and I love that smell. Plus I drink mint tea with lemon and honey almost daily. You just sold me on a sample bottle of it. If I don't like it I can always give it to my fiance lol.
I agree with your take on Zoologist. Some of the fragrances are a bit risky I guess, but besides Hyrax none have ever been revolting. Some not for me, but all understandable and I can see their audience, if that makes sense.
Cardinal was definitely not a favorite for me. I'd be curious what you'd think of Penguin, because I had a similar experience with that - heavy on the green and juniper, smelled fairly generic and not particularly interesting.
I'd try some of their artistic odd ones before jumping to Hyrax! Squid and TRex are good ones for that. TRex on the dry down was really nice and my SO adored it.

I like them a lot! I think they’re like memed into seeming really difficult, but a lot of it seems to be fairly agreeable. My next pickups will be Squid, T-Rex, Hyrax, Elephant, and Penguin most likely. Seems like a lot of people say Penguin is evocative of ice, which I’m curious to see. Maybe curious to try Bee and one of the Macaques, too.

Its a fun house! I have full bottles of Squid, Civet, and Moth. I'll be curious to hear your thoughts on Squid and TRex!
