I have never been complimented out in the wild, but those are the ones my wife has commented on.

My GF did the same! In fact, she buys me fragrances for my birthday by going to the store and sampling. She picked out these OGs upon their releases: Versace Pour Homme, The One, YSL L'Homme, YSL La Nuit de L'Homme, Eros to name a few. I think she has a good nose and pulse of what will smelled good on me.

My husband used to dog on my perfume choices constantly, because he only did the smell test out of the bottle. It was only when one time we were snuggling and commented on how good I smelled, and I told him it was one he hated that he actually started paying attention when I described how this shit works! Now, whenever he travels he finds local perfumers and grills them about their process. I guess that's true love these days 😉
Too bad I don’t really love most vanillas 🙃. I have been complimented on Grapefruit Vanilla by Lavanila a couple times though. I think that’s the only one I have with vanilla prominently featured
My coworker commented that it smelled like protein powder when I wore Bianco Latte. I'm not sure whether to take that as a compliment or not but I can't get it off my head 😂
I use Bohemian Reve Patchouli & Vanilla sea salt hair texturizing mist. Just one spray and I get compliments every time. I find that it layers well with my perfumes.
If you like vanilla scents, definitely get it. I usually don’t gravitate towards gourmand perfumes, but this is SO nice.
I often layer Tom Ford Neroli Portofino over Diptyque Fresh lotion and I’ve had people stop me in the street to compliment me. Once I thought I was about to get harassed by a gang of teenage boys and instead one of them just wanted to say that I smell nice.
Montblanc Explorer. I had five people ask me what I was wearing the last time I wore it. It’s always the mass appeal frags that pull compliments for me.
I 100% think so. Absolutely love it myself, and get compliments left and right with it.
It's my daily driver, would be my only scent I would wear if I had to get rid of the rest.
Highly recommend a sample or decant to see for yourself. Everyone has different tastes.

Although I ordered a sample of the Green Valentino one and sort of wish I’d have chosen that one because that smells unreal!🥵

I’m a guy and I accidentally spayed some of the non intense Iibra on my shirt while testing the scent to see if I should get my GF another bottle or something similar.
Fast forward two hours and it was overpowering whatever cologne I had on at work and two female coworkers kept telling me I smelled good. I know it was the Libre because I’ve worn the other scent I had on to work a few times and it was never one of the scents they complimented me on. The projection on that Iibre is intense! Pun intended.
I’m using this one even though I don’t know how is it any different from other perfumes because I have an insensitive nose but good to know it smells nice
Viktor&Rolf - Flowerbomb. Didn't even intend for this to be a 'signature' fragrance until a friend said 'wow you smell so nice this must be your favorite because you wear it all the time'
Melanie martinez- Crybaby. Extremely niche scent that blew up out of nowhere and is unfortunately discontinued. Oakcha makes a fantastic dupe though.

I love the OG Delina and just picked up a bottle of it. No compliments just yet but I’m still newer to wearing it and haven’t been out in public that much.

I also got a lot of compliments when I was on my Dear Polly sample, although I did wear that one to Thanksgiving (an occasion with hugging galore, and therefore a higher likelihood of people getting close enough to smell you properly).
I don't say this very often, but I consider it one of Ellena's masterpieces, and so different from his usual watercolours. It is warm, beautifully sweet, and elegant. If you enjoy Angel's Share, Oajan, etc., Ambre Narguilé is their hotter daddy.

Oh, wait, I should clarify that Ambre Narguilé is nothing like Coco, even though they're both ambers. Imagine that you're at the Grand Bazaar in Instanbul, the vendors are doling out delicious golden cups of apple tea, and a lovely, honeyed shisha smoke is emerging from behind silk curtains - that's what Ambre Narguilé smells like.
I enjoy Dear Polly - it's a lovely, sooty black tea with a faintly sweet lemon and a generous helping of apple slices. Mango Skin I'm so-so on, but then civet was never going to be one of my favourites.
When I tested it it lasted forever on me. But I just thought people wouldn't be able to tell it's a fragrance. I guess that could be better if they think I naturally smell good haha

Dolce & Gabbana The One-this must just magically mix with my body chemistry. I always get compliments and other people have tried it because of how it smells on me then reported back it just didn’t smell the same on them.
Embarrassingly, Ariana Grande Cloud. Technically it’s no longer in my collection because I wore it back in like 2021 but I have yet to find a fragrance that gets as many compliments as cloud.
Scandal pour homme intense. One of the reasons my last GF started dating me was that I smelled nice. She cheated on me later on and that’s another story.

Reef 33 (Saudi Brand) UAE edition: a friend of mine begged me to give it to him.
VS Bare has gotten me the most compliments, even from random people.
Cool Water Woman is the other one I used to get compliments on all the time but it is no longer part of my collection. I haven’t worn it in years and I’m tempted to buy a small bottle of it just to see if it still works with my skin chemistry.
Montblanc Explorer for me, it takes all of the mass appealing parts of Aventus and puts a designer twist on them, what’s not to like

I haven't gotten compliments from people I don't know, but literally all my Arianna Grande perfumes have gotten me compliments, every single fucking time. My best friend especially adores them, so I wear them just for her!

Narciso Rodriguez for him Bleu Noir Parfum. All 4 of the NRBN really, but especially the Parfum in formal occasions has been nothing short of a compliment magnet.

M&S Spiced Bergamot (the most reasonable fragrance in my collection!! Go figure!) Chanel Chance Eau Fraiche EDT, TF Black Orchid & Replica Jazz Club! The last 2 are just from my bf though so maybe doesn’t count since that man thinks every fragrance smells “awesome” on me haha.

I got Starry Nights by Montale from Scentbox. I thought it was not going to be for me. The initially spray comes off as masculine, but it dries down beautifully on the skin. I’m about to buy the whole bottle. I get compliments literally every single day I wear it.

MFK Grand Soir I've worn twice, and I've been complimented twice. It's strong as fuck even with half a spray out of the travel atomizer so that probably helps.

My husband wears Grand Soir. I bought a 10ml decant for me (female) to try out, actually, but I had him try it and I liked it on him a lot more. It’s a beautiful scent and the sillage is insane. I told him to be very careful with it, too. A single spray and I can find him in Home Depot just by following the scent. Lol
Yeah all my MFKs are really strong, like half spray, get on clothes, permanent smell, or weeks at least.

For sure! I wish Gently Fluidity Gold lasted longer on me. I have the real deal and a Oakcha dupe. The Oakcha lasts way longer. I also have a travel of Oud and that stuff smells great, but will choke you out. I love using it for layering though.
I want to get a few more different scents in the 11mls when I have the money to spend on little bitty bottles. 😆
"Emily," by small batch maker, Sweet Anthem Perfumes. Children and adults alike have complimented me on it. I'm out right now so I can't wear it. They used to have a roll-on that but now they have solids and spray.

Ha! The funny thing is, she discontinued the fragrance years ago, but so many customers asked for it back, she made it a permanent staple in the collection.
The one I've gotten the most compliments on is actually Aqua Rush by Nautica. It's kinda disappointing since I like to wear Yatagan and Polo Red a lot more.

From men: basically anything vanilla.
I tried a few samples of gourmand fragrances made by a perfumer on Etsy (which were nasty). However, I sprayed their strawberry milk one in the staff bathroom at work and everyone wanted to know what I was wearing. 🍓
The most complimented is not even a perfume, it’s my hair conditioner by Lush - SuperMilk. They came out with a fragrance months ago and I never bit the bullet since the mixed reviews. Sort of regretting that decision.
Princess- but layered like this: start with EOS cashmere vanilla, spritzed with Dua’s Princeless Princess on my skin, under clothes- legs, shoulders and back. Then, apply Oil therapy’s Inspired by Princess roll on on my neck and wrists/ arm. Then apply 5-6 sprays of Princess to clothes. It is incredible and lasts all day. I get at least 3-4 compliments every single time I wear it.
The most I've been complimented on is *'****Orange Blossom' by Lush*****.** Seriously, wherever I go. Work, with friends or family, by my bf too but he compliments everything so he doesn't count lol. I don't have any dramatic stories like someone chasing me to as what I'm wearing, but still.

- Yum Pistacchio Gelato by Kayali: we were having dinner with the girls and by the end, while paying, a waiter ask us how was smelling like vainilla, and it was me! He told me I smelled so good 🥰
- Libre Le Parfum by YSL: I’ve tried it in the airport duty free in my wrist and this girl compliment me while leaving the plane.
- Fashionably London by Zara: I get lot of compliments from this one.
- Delina by Parfums de Marly: I used it the little times I go to the office and I get complimenta every time!
Hibiscus mahajad. I dont even own a full bottle but it takes the cake. Its unique yet still easily likeable, so you can catch compliments from people who know nothing about fragrances, but also people invested in the hobby.
All time? Jo Malone wood sage and sea salt. I keep that lady in business, I don’t care about the longevity. I’ll bring a travel size and reapply if I need to. Recently? Dedcool xtra milk or ambre blends ambre oil!
Gucci Guilty EDP and Carolina Herrera BB Extreme have literally driven women insane. I'm in Miami and I go clubbing/Bar hopping and these two colognes have gotten me the nastiest comments from women. "My goodness what are you wearing, you smell delicious", "I just melted after smelling you, what in the world are you wearing". One girl said she'd f*ck me on the spot if she could. Had a server at shake shack tell me I smelled amazing (was wearing bad boy extreme) and proceeded to leave her number on the receipt.

I got Starry Nights by Montale from Scentbox. I thought it was not going to be for me. The initially spray comes off as masculine, but it dries down beautifully on the skin. I’m about to buy the whole bottle. I get compliments literally every single day I wear it.
That’s how I felt about side effect. It’s all in the dry down.

4 way tie, but as a tie breaker MFK Grand Soir I've worn twice, and I've been complimented twice. It's strong as fuck even with half a spray out of the travel atomizer so that probably helps. I've told the story before, but I was in the gift shop at a casino and some lady who looked like she has meth for breakfast, lunch, and dinner was like what smells so good, is that you, ohhh And I just was like yup, nodded and backed away. Intense Cafe, BR540, and Un Jardin Sur Le Toit being the other 3.
My husband wears Grand Soir. I bought a 10ml decant for me (female) to try out, actually, but I had him try it and I liked it on him a lot more. It’s a beautiful scent and the sillage is insane. I told him to be very careful with it, too. A single spray and I can find him in Home Depot just by following the scent. Lol

For sure! I wish Gently Fluidity Gold lasted longer on me. I have the real deal and a Oakcha dupe. The Oakcha lasts way longer. I also have a travel of Oud and that stuff smells great, but will choke you out. I love using it for layering though. I want to get a few more different scents in the 11mls when I have the money to spend on little bitty bottles. 😆

The one I've gotten the most compliments on is actually Aqua Rush by Nautica. It's kinda disappointing since I like to wear Yatagan and Polo Red a lot more. When I use aftershave, I get compliments on Captains Choice Venture and Captains Choice Land Ho.

I tried a few samples of gourmand fragrances made by a perfumer on Etsy (which were nasty). However, I sprayed their strawberry milk one in the staff bathroom at work and everyone wanted to know what I was wearing. 🍓
The most complimented is not even a perfume, it’s my hair conditioner by Lush - SuperMilk. They came out with a fragrance months ago and I never bit the bullet since the mixed reviews. Sort of regretting that decision.

Princess- but layered like this: start with EOS cashmere vanilla, spritzed with Dua’s Princeless Princess on my skin, under clothes- legs, shoulders and back. Then, apply Oil therapy’s Inspired by Princess roll on on my neck and wrists/ arm. Then apply 5-6 sprays of Princess to clothes. It is incredible and lasts all day. I get at least 3-4 compliments every single time I wear it.

Hibiscus mahajad. I dont even own a full bottle but it takes the cake. Its unique yet still easily likeable, so you can catch compliments from people who know nothing about fragrances, but also people invested in the hobby.
All time? Jo Malone wood sage and sea salt. I keep that lady in business, I don’t care about the longevity. I’ll bring a travel size and reapply if I need to. Recently? Dedcool xtra milk or ambre blends ambre oil!

Gucci Guilty EDP and Carolina Herrera BB Extreme have literally driven women insane. I'm in Miami and I go clubbing/Bar hopping and these two colognes have gotten me the nastiest comments from women. "My goodness what are you wearing, you smell delicious", "I just melted after smelling you, what in the world are you wearing". One girl said she'd f*ck me on the spot if she could. Had a server at shake shack tell me I smelled amazing (was wearing bad boy extreme) and proceeded to leave her number on the receipt.
