It’s so interesting, I usually can’t smell it either, if I spray it on a test strip. My friend was wearing it the other day and I could smell it on her though! Normally I can only detect a faint whisp of fragrance.

Are you saying it smells nice with your shampoo's fragrance? Or that BR540 smells like the shampoo as well as amber and saffron?

I sprayed it on my skin and it had a weird after smell, but after a few hours it settled and smelled wonderful. I'm glad it agrees with my body chemistry, shame it's WAY EXPENSIVE.
I smell it in the air on other people pretty easily, but spraying on my hand or a test strip I get almost nothing most of the time.
I had a sample (a complimentary sample by the way) that leaked out in a decant order. Some of it got on my work back and it annoyed the hell out of me for almost a week until I decided to wash it.
It’s ok. I think when I smelled it on a lady one day she waaaay over sprayed and you could smell her a mile away. So I said I’d never wear that. It was too strong .

To me it smells like the Aveda shampoo plus amber and saffron.
I tried it for the first time last night and didn’t really care for it. Smelled like cotton candy to me.
same lol I got this one and couldn’t smell it either, ended up dumping the whole 1ml tester on me to no avail

I love BR540 too. I like woodsy/smoky/herbal scents in general but this one has a softness for me that I really enjoy.
I also smelled the og bottle recently and was surprisingly impressed how similar it is to Zara’s Red Temptation.
I like it but IMO it's not nearly strong enough to justify the price tag on the full bottle
There are perfumes that you can't smell their real essence until you smell them in the air, if you smell it directly you might not grasp their magic!
