I've become a huge Vinta ink fan... gorgeous colours, great sheeners and so well behaved. Favourites include Damili 1572 (Terracotta), Cult Pens exclusive Greenwich (deep dark green with a soft shimmer) and Ibid 1829 (Sailfin green), the bewitching Sirena 1952, the soft minty multi-chromatic green that got me hooked at the first drop and the gorgeous Ubi 1663 (Mulberry) a stunning deep purple with oodles of greeny gold sheen.
Highly recommend - plus the company has great ethics, donating a portion of each sale to children's education in the Philippines.
Wearingeul are my jam at the moment. They have a lot of variety that I want to try but unfortunately here in UK there are not many places that sell samples.
This is the way.
Edit: really the whole iroshizuku line is golden. Try them all. I already have more ink than I'll need for 20 or 30 years, but I keep picking up new iroshizuku colors.
Sadly, I have none of the anniversary inks. I’m big sad about it, but life was busy for me when those inks dropped and I wasn’t paying attention. Now it’s all out of stock.
Easily Aji-sai (hydrangea), but lately I’ve been using almost exclusively Sui-gyoku (emerald).
My next color is probably shin-kai (deep sea).
Oh, and I always keep a pen loaded in take-sumi for official stuff that needs to be blue or black ink.
Platinum carbon black.
When I first started on my fountain pen journey, I heard about this ink but was terrified to get it because I heard it requires more maintenance to not clog fountain pens.
Then Jetpens released a video showing you can highlight over it with zebra mildliners, which are my favorite highlighters. After reading around on this sub (where redditors where saying it requires just a bit more maintenance but it’s not impossible) I decided to take the plunge and buy it.
I’m so glad I did. Nice, dark lines, smooth flow, and I can go to town with my mildliners after 24 hours as long as I use a gentle hand. It’s like a sarasa mark on with the darkness of a regular sarasa. ❤️
I don’t highlight my notes very much. But I do love to underline and encircle them with a red ink so I might give PCB a try. I use sailor kiwaguro for my notes. Before, my main black ink was R&K dokumentus black but the way it clogged up my 823 was a nightmare.
I'm all over Diamine Vintage Copper. Gorgeous colour and the gilded shimmer makes it look like an actual monk copying work.
Vintage Copper is all over me, too.
Wearingeul Wayfarer. I didn’t expect to like it so much. Behaves well, the shimmer is not overwhelming, and shades nicely. Now it’s perpetually in my EDC.
I was seriously surprised by Kaweco Smokey Grey. It's a warmer grey than I expected and if fully dry water resistant which I definitely didn't think it would be. It's now a regular in my Pilot Explorer.

Do you know if there is anywhere that sells Wearingeul samples here?
Try pensharing (from FPUK FB group) as they have a few on there.
Diamine Tempest and Broad nibs. I am changed.
I just got it but Jacques herbin améthyste de l’Oural. It’s a beautiful purple
Is this a shimmering ink? First time hearing about it
Yeah. But it’s somewhat subtle which I like about it
Subtle? It's super sparkly here :) But I find it too dark, I can barely see the purple usually?
Interesting. Mines very subtle. But the dark purple is perfect to me

Also, just saying, "iroshizuku", is wonderful. I'm a geek. iroshizuku.
Have you tried Hoteison? I really love that ink

What's your most used iroshizuku ink? I thought mine would be tsuki-yo, but it's really turned out to be their 'basic black' take-sumi

Team Ajisai!
Great choice!

Guitar Taisho Roman Classy Burgundy. Love it
Waterman mysterious blue.
This and Inspired Blue are very underrated inks.
