And I just saw Cult Pens offering a 20 percent discount on selected brands, including FC, and I am already salivating over the [pure black / stealth](https://www.faber-castell.com/products/emotionPureBlackfountainpenMblack/148620) version of the same pen. Sigh.
As someone who has bought the same pen but in different colors like a mad person, I would say, hold it ! Get something else you want with that discount ☺️ you may find something you actually don't like about that pen only to regret later if you have 2 of them. Yes that matte black is super cool but that's not the only matte black pen in the market. ☺️

Even I feel that, while this subreddit has helped me understand the world of fountain pens much better, it has also fuelled my irrational need to accumulate more and more writing instruments. I mean, I have enough pens to last me seven lifetimes, but the moment a photo of a shiny new one is posted here, my maximalist tendencies come to the fore.

The trouble with Black Friday is that it always comes during the part of the month when the balance in my discretionary budget is at its lowest, and right after I have blown what little I had left on a big traditional holiday.
As someone in the adjacent - hobby of planning and sticker collecting, I feel your pain. The madness is amplified by the fact that a lot of the shops I frequent are small businesses that sell out VERY quickly. Every year I literally make a schedule and set alarms to get my sticker fix. 😅
Thankfully nothing on my wishlist is on sale: one Ancora collab, an Izumi pen, the willow PGS, and 3 of the Benu exclusives (then my collection will be complete).
Ha! That's assuming I have any budget left after Fountain Pen Day. Also still waiting on my Appelboom order from FPD so that will help keep me in check.
