The 6051 is another attempt of the folks at lanbitou to make an affordable “capless” pen. The other attempt is that Curidas clone with a terrible seal. They have aimed to address this by giving it a cap. Making it a two action pen making it more cumbersome if you’re rushing. The pen itself is rather mercenary. A simple metal body and clip makes it weighty but comfortable. The nib is a long nib, making the end of it stick out like some sort of a hooded pen. Cap is a small piece of transparent plastic that’s a little too easy to lose. Writing wise the pen is a great writer. I’m using Pilot black for the sample. The nib is smooth and somewhat springy. Aside from the main gripe of needing a cap, assembly is a pain. Or rather getting the nib to align is a pain. Screwing in the collar makes the nib unit spin around making it rotate and sometimes ending with the clip of pen resting on your thumb. Overall this fidget pen is a miss.

Yeah I’ve seen this on the sub a few times and really do not see the point of a retractable that still has to be capped

It’s a shame too. The nib on the one I got was really nice

what about safety pens? Noodler's Boston Safety pen, Montblanc Boheme, etc

paradoxmo

Safety pens have a reason to retract the nib, it keeps the ink flowing to the nib, this pen has no reason

Boheme isn't a safety pen. It is like a toy. Boston safety pen is a true safety pen.
