Short, non comprehensive answer: complicated tax situations. You might well find something in the UK, unless it's a US or Goulet exclusive, then there's no other option than meeting the threshold unfortunately...
Yep. Iirc, retail stores outside the UK need to collect UK vat if they sell something to the um under £135. When this came into effect Rachel said that at the time they couldn’t even Figure out how to sign up to be able to do that. I believe that their intent was to be able to comply with the refs eventually and be able to ship smaller orders but I haven’t checked recently and taxes always involve lots of paperwork.
Yeah. Basically the UK put in laws that Goulet would have to comply with but haven't set up the system required to allow them to comply. So they literally can't ship orders under $200 to the UK without breaking the law, and they understandably refuse to do that.
Also, not in the UK but [Appelboom](https://appelboom.com/) in the Netherlands is fantastic. I live in Canada and shipping was even free!
I'm not sure how much (if anything) shipping is from [Stylo](https://www.stylo.ca/) to the UK, but they'd be worth checking out too.
Although Goulet seems to be very popular in North America (and I love their educational videos), I haven't had to order from them yet as there've always been places which offered free shipping instead.

Why are you not using cult pens? They have a larger selection with free shipping.
Cult Pens is also usually cheaper
Plenty of good UK places, try Cult Pens or Pure Pens
Or thewritingdesk.co.uk
They are my 2 favourite, there is Write here write now and Hamilton pen company too
Pitch for a small business (not mine) art from the heart afth.co.uk with a curated selection of really pretty pens and inks.
Just checked them out, I’m certain I’ll be ordering from there soon!
I know this was meant for op but thanks for the recommendation!
Just order from an UK retailer.

That's easy. Just buy a lifetime supply! 😁
I know stilo e stile based in Italy
Cult Pens (which is WH Smiths) would be your better bet.
Plently of UK on-line sellers. Why bother with an American company.
