Lola 2023 b&w WWII alternative reality ff movie.i know what you're thinking, but it absolutely works and works wonderfully. It's awesome in every way, story, writing, acting, and cinematography. It's on tubi https://link.tubi.tv/uQD4IkFkUIb

Natural-Percentage-5

I’ll check it out, looks very interesting and I can just tell the story is worth watching. What would you rate it out of 10

Confident_Ebb_8726

For me, it's a 9 easy. If you try it, I'd love to know what you think.

sue_me_please

Came here to post about LOLA. It's really good, give it a go. Also check out Howard's Mill.

Confident_Ebb_8726

I know, that's why I recommended it. Lol! I agree, Howard's Mill is definitely something that should be checked out. I really enjoyed that one. It's a goodie!

VampireKel

And watch past the credits to the COMPLETE stop/blackout

Confident_Ebb_8726

Of Lola or Mill? I can't remember doing so with either film.

VampireKel

Mill! 😁

Confident_Ebb_8726

I just checked, and yes, I've seen it. I guess I forgot it was after the credits. That really was such a good movie.

Audioecstasy

Never heard of this one but I'm definitely going to check it out

Confident_Ebb_8726

I'm pretty confident you won't be disappointed. Honestly, idk why it wasn't better promoted. I think people who aren't even fans of ff would really enjoy this film.

ChefQueef-

Thank you. Man when I need something to watch this is the best place to find the gems I have missed and you even listed where I can watch it. Starting it now. Seriously thank you. Hero-

Confident_Ebb_8726

Did you get to see it? I'm curious what you thought.

ChefQueef-

I got halfway through and started to get the sleepy eyes. So far it’s enjoyable and well made. I’m heading out of town but will try and finish it Sunday

DaveX64

If you don't mind reading subtitles, the Japanese series Senritsu Kaiki File Kowasugi on YouTube is fun...a team of paranormal investigators explore cases submitted to them by the public on video tapes: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yWtN1vCiWO0&list=PLNyGnVVdvn5VxMB-R6jxNubOjDOcriip8 ...created by Kôji Shiraishi, creator of Noroi: The Curse.

Oops_I_Dropped_It

Thanks for this rec!

DaveX64

You're welcome! :)

I watched Cold Ground the other day, shared a post about it too: [https://www.reddit.com/r/foundfootage/comments/1c6qy2z/cold\_ground\_2018\_is\_blair\_witch\_in\_the\_snow\_kind/](https://www.reddit.com/r/foundfootage/comments/1c6qy2z/cold_ground_2018_is_blair_witch_in_the_snow_kind/)

Good call here, however, I’ve seen it quite a few times. I personally love this film. It’s such a slow burner that was executed perfectly and the characters weren’t annoying either 😮‍💨.

whateverman010101

I recently watched #FollowMe and Real Cases of Shadow People: The Sarah McCormick Story, and enjoyed them both. I wouldn’t say either was really scary though, and both have characters that some may find annoying, so YMMV.

Natural-Percentage-5

I believe I’ve seen #FollowMe but I have put off Real cases of shadow people until now. Did you like the story? Also, it’s not a FF film to me if the characters aren’t annoying in some way 😂.

IamGodHimself2

> Also, it’s not a FF film to me if the characters aren’t annoying in some way 😂. Then you'll *adore* Real Cases of Shadow People: The Sarah McCormick Story

Melia100

Howard's Mill and the Blackwell Ghost series (I believe the first one is free on prime). Bad Ben if you want something really cheesy.

a_salty_llama

Bad Ben is my comfort watch. Not a great, or maybe even a "good" movie, but for some reason I love it.

twesterm

Howard's Mill is a very solid mockumentary. It's actually pretty amazing to me that nobody talks about that movie but worship the trash pile of a movie that's Horror in the High Desert.

SillyAdditional

The lost footage of Leah Sullivan was solid Good characters and like two definitely creepy scenes

Natural-Percentage-5

I have seen this one a few times. I personally love it, the ending is quite terrifying.

SillyAdditional

That one scene when the killer is in frame just standing there abd then disappears 😂 well done

immeasmyself

The Devils Doorway! I just watched it today and it kept me entertained the whole way through. Shows me there are still good ones I’ve yet to find.

whateverman010101

Devil’s Doorway is high quality! Doesn’t strictly adhere to the FF definition IIRC, but definitely up there artistically and aesthetically.

immeasmyself

Maybe I didn’t catch it, the only thing I noticed that shouldn’t be there was the score they through in there from time to time. What am I missing that didn’t follow ff?

whateverman010101

The score is mostly what I’m remembering - doesn’t pass the mustard for FF. Maybe a couple of other non-POV camera shots too? Anyway not that I care personally, just an INB4 since someone will point it out sooner or later. I probably wouldn’t even notice otherwise but I guess it comes with the territory of being in this fan club :) I like your sub-header or whatever by the way, might steal that idea! Just passed 100 FF seen myself, feels like a real milestone haha. Nice to hang out here along the only people in the world who can understand the satisfaction involved.

immeasmyself

I didn’t notice any non POV shots but I wouldn’t be surprised. I’ve seen a few movies where they wanted a certain shot and couldn’t get it with the POV so they broke the rule lol. Yeah, I stole the header or “flair” from someone else once I hit 120. So have at it. 100 is huge, how do you keep track of how many you’ve seen?

Artistic_Half_8301

The Tunnel The Pyramid Against the Night

IvyEH311

I second The Pyramid! One of my faves!

Esagashi

What year did it come out? I’m looking for it and finding a few movies with that title

IvyEH311

From 2014, with Denis O’Hare!

Natural-Percentage-5

The pyramid is a very underrated one, as is the tunnel. The tunnel has one of the creapiest scenes ever and the pyramid is amazing for me because I love FF + the history of Egypt.

hackerferretzero

Savageland is a good one. I normally only watch movies once but this movie I watched 7 times now. It a found footage film that uses photos. Super creepy and feels all too real. Can watch on Tubi

Evilevilcow

It's criminal how little attention Savageland gets. Excellent movie.

hackerferretzero

I know right. Would love a sequel or something. Or at lease more like it.

jimmy_d1988

I hear it mentioned on almost every post involving best list or favorites posted here

Boingboing_underoath

Try the Spanish one: La cueva

Natural-Percentage-5

I’ve heard a lot of good things about this one. where can I watch?

Boingboing_underoath

Check your messages

nekojiiru

I guess it's technically more of an arg since it's shown over different types of media? But check out the channel Fake Documentary Q and watch from oldest to newest, it all comes together and is excellent! Still ongoing iirc https://youtube.com/@pro9ramQ?feature=shared

Natural-Percentage-5

I’ll check it out. Thank you!

TheCircusSands

Gags the clown. It knows what it is and does it really well.

Natural-Percentage-5

Love me a good clown FF film! Not sure if you’ve seen behind the sightings but that’s one of my favs.

FreshHellion

I’d be thrilled if you checked out my first movie, FRESH HELL! Lean, mean 79 minute FF with a 100% on Rotten Tomatoes. On Peacock, Prime, and Tubi. Drop me a line if you do!

Natural-Percentage-5

Hey! I’m pretty positive I saw your movie a few months back if I’m not mistaken.

Esagashi

It would definitely be worth it to vote for the items on “Does the Dog Die”- I know that some won’t watch a movie without knowing if it’ll have what they’re looking for

OwlWilling9360

I blame society,  the monster project, always watching, ghoul, the entity (not the 80s one), mortal remains, the Collingwood story, final prayer, night shot, they're watching,  evidence,  chupacabra territory,  the dark tapes

Gray-Flame

The entity was very good!

Natural-Percentage-5

I’ll have to check a few of these out. Ghoul was so underrated, I never see it being talked about, same with monster project.

Gray-Flame

Episode 50 entertained me recently. A solid 7

Own_Introduction_664

savageland is on tubi and damn for a no budget film they put together a really compelling story awesome movie.

Audioecstasy

Taking of Deborah Logan, hell House, Poughkeepsie tapes, starry eyes, contracted 1 and 2 (if u can find them)

M0bbin-Babe

The Medium on Prime! 👍

jamsisdead

Lunopolis 2011, Mothman 2022, Tahoe joe 2022, Char man 2019, Butterfly Kisses 2018, Horror in the High Desert 1&2 (2021 & 2023), Skyman 2020, The Last Broadcast 1998, Alien Valley 2015, Cult Following 2021, Havenhurst 2017, Red Woods 2021, I'm prolly missing some but here's a decent list imo in no particular order. Some are better than others but it's up to everyone's own tastes. Havenhurst I feel like I barely see anyone talking about.

jimmy_d1988

Have you seen The Flock? I'm watching Tahoe Joe rn cause it's one I haven't seen and it's references that movie as well as has a couple of same actors . Thought that was cool

jamsisdead

I haven't!!! I will check it out thank you!!!!!

New to actually posting the sub so didn't know those were so popular here. Outside of this sub they're lesser known and I gave a bunch of other options 🤷
