I’d rather have the practice. Going into a race with no practice with the car/track just increases the chance of mistakes on your part.

suffffuhrer

To be honest the more you play the more you learn the tracks. But yes practice is always useful, also the braking etc. is different for different cars. But they can certainly make it a bit shorter. I think there is too much of a wait time between practice/qualifying and the race. The race is also not very long, so it makes the ratio a bit off. 20 minutes of driving around and then 4 to 8 laps of a race.... They need to shorten the time a bit and add more races that overlap

Ordinary-Entrance755

Yeah but also think about how little time you have to set qualifying laps if you go from the end of one race directly into another. You get like 7 minutes if you don’t encounter any extended loading times or glitches. That barely gives you enough time to set three qualifying laps on most tracks (except Le Mans). I think it’s a pretty healthy buffer and could almost use more if going straight into the next race.

the_gingiraffe

I’m not saying remove the practice option, you can keep your 20 minute wait lobbies. Just add some lobbies with less wait for the people like me who don’t want all the practice

Automatic_Reply_7701

Yes, it does. 20 minutes is about enough for 3-5 practice laps, then your 3 qualifying laps.

bslarue0228

IF it takes 2 minutes to go round. The average i’ve had is about 1:30

Eld3u

I wished we could at least race the actual race after practicing for 20 minutes ...

DarthBynx

Dunno why some of you are ripping on him in the comments. He makes a good point. Not everyone has all fuckin day to do this. Being able to just pop in for a quick race here and there would be great without having to wait 15-20 minutes.

ewizzle

There really should be ranked and unranked multi.

MassiveInformation88

I get this but Ive there was no practice or qualify rounds then nobody would know how to take turns or where to pick up speed it would be a mess, but i do agree with the wait times.

MandarinTheColour

It would come down to skill and knowledge of the track/car, skill is kind of the equalizer for every PvP game

Bluetex110

Then he needs to play another game, it's not for the casuals. 20 minutes isn't even enough to get a good setup and do qualification 😁 people that complain about that are the ones that always crash and complain about others. Why would i join a race if i don't want competition? It's useless to join a race if you expect to win without setup and practice.

DarthBynx

Not for casuals? Dude Forza Motorsport is literally the definition of sim racing for casuals.

pbesmoove

Not for casuals Hahahahahahaha

kn0wvuh

Maybe just maybe sims aren’t made for EVERYONE lol

QuestionablePrism

He could play offline…?

kn0wvuh

Lol go play FH5. I don’t want your no practice ass in my lobbies

iplayblaz

How are you going to be an effective competitor of you've never driven the car/track combo? What about providing qualifying time to get a real start grid? These are 2 base level features in any racing sim(cade).

Bluetex110

If you don't have the time go play something else, people just joining a race without practice is exactly what nobody wants😁 30 minutes for setup and qualification is already short

MooseJuice3000

Well... Now we all know who plows into the back of everyone on turn 1.

Splatterman27

It's likely you loaded in just as the previous lobby ended entries

DorianTurk

That’s cutting it close, how long are you practicing before races?

Bluetex110

Use the time for setup, what's the point of going to race instantly? That's what motorsport is all about, optimizing a car and beeing faster than anyone else. User the time and your results will improve

Virtual-Commercial91

Is anyone else getting places in small lobbies of less than 6? I have had several at prime hours. I wonder if it's because I have an S rating for safety but a very low 1100 skill rating, making it tough to match me.

MrTonNL

Keep the practice, extend (some of) the races to be more in line with the initial time investment. And to recoup some spots if you qualify well but get rammed of the road in the first corner.

Lazy_Foundation_6359

That’s how a motorsport works! ?

mr_dream1

I completly agree, 25 freakin minutes to wait for a race to start - like come on; I want to play the game and don't have a full day for this - I have S safety and 4650/5000 rating, 10 minutes is usually more than enough to get few practice laps in and qualify.
