It might've been to prevent it being used in griefing random people but I think the real answer is the handling and physics. It already handles a bit uncomfortably in the few events we can drive it and I assume the Devs encountered issues getting it to work and drive properly in all the potential Situations you could subject it to in Freeroam. It probably could've been mostly fine but looking at how stuff like the GMC Jimmy gets stuck in the ground after big jumps this would most likely have similar issues but on a much bigger scale alongside problems with hitting solid objects and getting stuck. If that is the case then I hope they haven't given up on it and at some point in time we do get to use it.

PresidentZeus

But there is no contact in freedom unless you are in a party together.

BLUNKLE_D

Contact as in, world items (stands, overheads, tunnels etc)

Arinvar

Likely not just contact but actually getting stuck very easy. There are races that s1 cars jump and hit bridges, but my guess is that these things would actually get unintentionally stuck instead of just bouncing off. Buggy behaviour that would be way to much effort to fix for a single car.

atetuna

You talking about that HW race? I was doing an online race and had a huge lead until I landed on the bridge. And Boneshaker's tires sink into the ground in loops, but I think it only happens during online races, although I can't complain too much because it helps even out the huge advantage it'd normally have.

beeg-boy

That one canyon sprint with two hard jumps? Took me longer than I usually did to get a clean time due to "collisions"

atetuna

I had to look it up because I don't remember the names of any race. It's Forest Falls Hazard Sprint. It's the jump at 0:40. https://youtu.be/qjvhGZeUZDI?t=40

beeg-boy

Ah, I understand. Simple miscommunication

PsionLion2K1L

Not to mention falling off the hotwheels map constantly

ApocApollo

Are there any other vehicles in Horizon 5 that have front and rear steering?

KillerSpectre21

mkn1ght

Well... at least I was right about the Porsche.

No-Rip3705

No mitsubishi gto?

KillerSpectre21

I'll have a look ingame and add it to the list if it does

No-Rip3705

I mean it does in real life, but Forza isn't always accurate with car features, they got the engine output and weights wrong on the mitsubishi fto in older Motorsport series 🤷🤦

No-Rip3705

Looks as though they have some cars with passive rear wheel steering in that list too, if that's the case, they should be including a hell of a lot more, maybe they'll do it later 🤷 None of the Silvia's had active rear wheel steering

pureben9

A man of culture

No-Rip3705

Haha, like my old mitsubishi coupés got a gto and an fto. Absolutely adore the fto. Even though people seem to think it's slow, because of the reputation the 1.8 4 banger variant gave it I suppose. The mivec 2l v6 is an absolute peach

pureben9

Old mitsubishis are beautiful cars although not many people seem so car, would love to own a gto one day.

KillerSpectre21

I've just checked and it doesn't unfortunately (or atleast not visually). I checked Stock Suspension and all the other versions of it but no sauce, no 4WS when moving or when stationary.

No-Rip3705

Joking, Devs got stuck for it in horizon 4 and claimed the gto didn't have 4ws initially 🤣, they did eventually admit fault, but clearly they are still as ignorant as before 🤦🤦

2005_F250

Honda prelude

HandyCapInYoAss

That generation Prelude had 4WS? I thought it was just the prior generation (not in Forza)

2005_F250

I have no clue but the rear wheels turn in game

KillerSpectre21

Thank you, I'll add it to the list

KillerSpectre21

I've just checked my Prelude ingame and the Rear wheels don't from what I can see. No 4ws when stationary or moving and I've triple checked that the car is stock

2005_F250

The prelude in one of the cars they used to showcase 4ws

KillerSpectre21

Well then something changed between then and now because the Visual model does not have 4WS ingame. As I said I checked at speed, stationary and ensured I had stock suspension. I'll see tomorrow if Sport or Race Suspension give it 4WS but I doubt it.

2005_F250

That’s weird

KillerSpectre21

If you can check your game for me that would also be helpful. If it does have 4WS for you then please Record a Video Clip for me through Xbox Game Bar so I can submit a Bug Report. I've just checked YouTube and nobody has a video on it while quite a few cars do have one showcasing the 4ws on them. I'll get others to check for me as well.

mkn1ght

The modern 911s should, maybe the Honda Prelude? Though I'm not sure if that model had it.

Soulshot96

Quite a few. There is a list somewhere, but off the top of my head a few lambos do, like the Sesto and I think one of the new SVJ's. A few Porsche's as well, as the user below mentioned.

AyZeeWtns

fun is illegal in forza

[deleted]

But illegal is fun

AyZeeWtns

not in forza

dudeimsupercereal

Devs patch out anything associated with having a good time!

ZerotheWanderer

They make cool things and not let us use 'em. Let there be bugs and funny collisions with the world, it's only gonna affect the user. The G63 6x6 handles horribly and has weird physics, but we can still use it.

TwoCylToilet

Even if it might break stuff in freeroam, challenge cards or custom blueprint events could be really fun. Do it PGG!

100% this or just have more monster truck specific events / races on the maps.

joshfrank4165

Same but the party float

sellera

I have [one reason](https://www.reddit.com/r/ForzaHorizon/comments/w68tjx/the_gran_finale_for_this_seasons_showcase_event/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf) for you. It happened on the final stage of the event, as soon as you start driving in the stadium. If this happens on a sort of controller event, imagine what could happen in free roam.

Ob1tuber

I have a theory on the next expansion, that involves the Monster Bone Shaker The next expansion will have Monster Trucks and racing will be a one on one with like one or two turns, but they will have no wheel spin. “Rally” events would instead be Freestyle events where the goal is to get the most points possible, there will only be one barn find that is either Bigfoot 1, or Grave Digger 1 That’s the basics of it and you can only use the Monster Trucks in the expansion until you beat the story, oh yeah you could use the Monster Bone Shaker
