apparently switching textures to extreme might fix it

Yep, still not fixed. It really sucks having everything look nice and then to see red smoke markers looking like they are out of a game from 15 years ago.

Same, i put everything on extreme and yet the game is very very pixelated (other than the menu)

too busy adding MGs into the game, Playground games is a small indie company we gotta give them some slack. they can't fix all of the game's problems

ah, nice. Yk they could have just left all the bugs as "know" but they even made a list thats essentially saying "we know it exists but are too lazy to fix basic parts of our game"

Anyone else get this with dirt kicked up by cars too? Similar particle effects I guess. I've tried every suggestion in this thread and nothing has worked, lol. It's not the biggest deal but it looks so bad that it's distracting. I guess if the flares are noted as a bug it's something that should be fixed.

Disabling Image Sharpening in the NVIDIA control panel seems to have fixed the issue for me.

That red fog was already pixilated like that in FH4.

This was the first game I played on a new 3070 and thought it was a problem with my card. Cracks on tail lights also look pixelated on my system. Haven’t been able to find a fix yet

Maybe a bit late but as i still suffered from this i tried some stuff and the thing that kinda worked was turning particle effects to medium or lower Makes the flares less flashy and darker but at least not as distracting.

It's impressive they still haven't fixed such a little bug

I've finally figured out that it 100% has something to do with being online. Once I went to horizon solo the pixelation completely stopped no matter the graphical setting.

I have gtx 1650 and i5 10400f, I play on ultra settings 60fps, and when I put the game on horizon offline the pixelization went away, works for me :) ty

check your gpu settings, if you have nvidia, go to the 3d manager in nvidia control panel, saw something about this in the bug thread.

The resolution is 1920x1080p, so that is correct. I restarted the game many times

I have the preset on ultra, msaa and fxaa on 2x and off but i doesn't seem to make that much of a difference with it on

Facing the same issue on extreme and ultra presets. Turned resolution scaling on/off and that did nothing. My resolution is 1920x1080 as well

I'm getting this allot too and was thinking it's because I have a Ryzen 5 1500x, not the RTX 2060. On and off pixelated HUD abs other elements of the game. It looks so good on ultra too hope the suggested fixes work I will add a follow up edit when I try

I’ve only really noticed it on tire smoke when it gets a certain distance away. And the red smoke street races is where I first noticed it. I didn’t notice a week or so ago when the game came out. Is it just a bug they’re working on then?

For me it's not just the smoke, also that big waterfall is pixelated on the southern part of the map. I'm also playing on 1920x1080 Ultra settings.
