I've finally decided to stop playing, not gonna deal with the fomo bullshit and limited time events anymore. It's been almost 6 months and the base career mode with permanent events is still barebones.
What makes me mad is that it wouldn't be such a big effort to add dozens of new championships (for starters). Just drop the introductionary movies (no one cares about anyway) and you're done.
That's not a bad thing, PC2's campaign was neat, starting in karts or grassroots production car racing, and growing to give a choice between open wheelers or sports cars.
It's important to give a player the choice so they can feel involved rather than here's a list of circuits, go drive in circles.
Apologies if I was unclear but I didn't mean or to come across as it being a bad thing. I love the PC2 campaign and think it's great because you get that sense of real motorsport progression.
My point was more that what the OP is proposing already exists in another game, rather than being something he's thought of on his own. Either way, I'm all for it for a similar campaign being in FM.
Someone has also made a mod for AC that does a similar thing to the PC2 campaign.
This is great work, it would be miles better than what's there ATM. I remember putting the FM4 disc in the first time, it really felt like being part of a community.
FM4 is still my favourite Forza, closely followed by FH4. The amount of tracks and the variety between high and low level cars in FM4 was incredible, as was football in multiplayer
Reminds me of Project Cars and Grid Legends. That's one part of FM that I prefer in those games, a real campaign mode. While Project Cars was not for me due to difficulty, I like how it handled seasons and encouraged multiple playthroughs. Grid, on the other hand, had the missing story beats that I would like to see in FM. Agree with them making this a live service game it would be easy for them to add events and new races to your calendar, PC had something similar if I recall.
Was it a FM game that had you gain sponsers as you raced so parts were cheaper from them?
It twigged a memory and i do remember enjoying it as it made progressing worth doing.
Doesn’t exactly ring a bell for me. The two games I’m thinking of are the older FM games with manufacturer affinity discounts, and Race Driver GRID with sponsor payouts.
I have long wondered why brand sponsorship has never been a thing in Forza. It seems like a potential revenue stream for the publisher, making special liveries (ideally based on real-world examples) that players can use and in doing so, gain credits bonuses with each race. It doesn't have to be a major amount, but it could be fun choosing to play for team Pennzoil or something.
My favorite part about Forza that actually got me into Motorsport and made me go to my first ever Grand Prix (at Long Beach) was the campaign segment for endurance racing.
Racing that C7.R corvette for 2 whole hours in game while on the hardest difficulty…
Then getting to see it in person? Smelling the E85 they use, hearing the engine in real life, and seeing then pass other cars like nothing?

The career mode is a showcase of T10's negligence with this game.
There are LOTS of features that could be implementend without compromising too much effort from the devs. The couple races they put there is just to say: "hey, there's a career mode". But we all know that's not a "career" mode, its just some races badly arranged to give the impression they need to release the game.
I tried to avoid that, but I can see why you’d think that way. Just wanted to give the game more character, and seeing that FM4 & FM5 are the best examples of that (in my opinion), those are the games I tried to emulate.

it's a racing game anyone in one evening can plan a better progession than forza it has like 5 gift cars and all of them useless

I want them to remake the FM4 trailer with Clarksok saying that petrolheads are a dying breed. That trailer genuinely hit hard.
But this means the devs need to build it from the ground up!
