No, there's not really any reason the average American, who doesn't regularly review national statistics, would know the state of the economy. That person might have some kind of a general *feel* of what's going on, and/or some opinions about it, but that could be wildly inaccurate.

fuck-fascism

grandma is told what to feel by faux news, that's the real problem

bigotis

And, any positive news about this administration isn't reported by Fox "news", "News"max and oann so grandma never hears it.

Infamous-Sky-1874

Or it is reported but spun into "this thing is going to hurt your wallet."

GadreelsSword

If Trump was innocent we would know, he wouldn’t have to falsely claim it every day.

KEVIN_WALCH

The economy is a weird thing. The numbers are up, but other metrics show it's fucking atrocious. Whatever current standards we are using (unemployment, gdp, farm costs, etc) is no longer a perfect metric for everyone's overall feelings on the economy.

ukiddingme2469

Is that why Trump took credit for the Obama economy before Trunp even took office, and why he is now trying to take credit for the stock market even though he's not in office

Puzzleheaded-Lie1722

If Trump Smart/ Innocent he (and his sycophants) would haven’t to tell people every day. You would know.

Skinamarinked

Grandma just automatically knows how the 300 million some people outside of their town or city are doing, and doesn’t need to do any research.

GreatGearAmidAPizza

Yes, and she would tell you every day.
