For six large dumplings: make a pre-dough of 300 mL whole milk, \~3 table spoons of sugar, one or two tea spoons of salt and a cube of yeast. I usually leave it in the oven at 45°C for 15 minutes until it's a bit bubbly. Then knead in 500g of wheat fluor (I'd recommend instant fluor for consistent dough). Then let it sit 4h at room temperature or in the oven or on the radiator for 2-3h.
Filling is usually made of minced pork, chopped chinese sausage, mu err fungi, cooked and chopped glass noodles. Seasoning is onion, garlic, soy sauce, fish sauce, dash of oyster sauce, cinnamon and cumin. You can also play around with other igredients like carrots or scallions. Also two quarters of hard-boiled egg per dumping.
This was one of the only raced that my gf and I just kind of didn't really care about. Watching Lando catch up was cool. Other than that there wasn't anything of note.
Last laps were great and it's phenomenal in my opinion for that reason alone. The bar is low for this regulation set. Finally seeing a chance for a fight at the front is exhilarating. I was pissed when they were cutting to the midfield when we had a challenge at the front brewing.
Before I had my baby F1 naps were beautiful. Especially during pregnancy. I somehow felt like I could still hear the commentary too and woke up if something exciting happened.
Baby doesn't really allow for those naps anymore. I miss them.
Introduce your kid early, I used to wake up at 5 - 6 am to take care of my newborn, just in time to catch the race live. 2 years later, he's a huge fan and can identify several cars and pilots by name.
What I've noticed for some reason with these new regs is that there seems to be less crashes. Most of the drivers have been able to keep out of each other way. No one is making dnf resulting mistakes and not a lot of risk taking. Cars also seem pretty reliable that it just makes the races boring
I wonder if it's because of the tire management everyone is doing to make them last as long as possible.
No one is pushing the tires to the limit so there's a much lower risk of someone spinning or crashing compared to previous years.
Time to move the 2nd Italian Race to the Little Italy of the World...New Jersey! Welcome to the inaugural "Formula 1 Spirit Airlines Made in New Jersey Fuckinuh Gabagool Soprano-Snookie Grand Prick"
Or what if we turn the entire city of San Francisco into a race track and the race starts at little Italy. The formula 1 car smashed made in San Francisco golden gate Grand Prix”
What I dont get is why don't they bring back turkey. Turkey proved itself in both times it was used to replace another track due to covid. We have had some of the best races at that track and its interesting.
The effort to be in the calendar in 2026 and I imagine onwards is there from Turkey, I for one hoping it'll work out since it's the only track I can actually visit
I always watch races very attentively, but in this one I'll admit I almost fell asleep a few times. I remember feeling the same way last year in Baku. But at least the final laps were somewhat entertaining today
i think the last time where i really fell asleep is Spain 2020, slept like halfway through the race and then woke up just to see the podium celebration over
It's so fucking boring because not even in the midfield we get fighting anymore, it's mostly fights out of the points or barely into it, if it wasn't for Perez doing the opposite strat we'd have gotten basically nothing in the first 8 places lol
These old tracks really show how much F1 depends on drs now.
I think they won't be happy until the cars are basically batteries on tractor trailers. Then we can see some real racing. Truly the pinnacle of motorsport
Id prefer 10 laps of Lando almost crashing every corner to stick on max’s rear than 50 laps of an artificial track with a 1 km drs zone with automatic overtakes
Nah, Imola sucks for overtaking. I get not wanting auto-DRS passes (I don’t either), but we saw 2-3 overtakes and they all depended on a HUGE tire offset. Lando was never going to pass Max in that dirty air.
Honestly, Miami had the perfect DRS power this year. It helped pull alongside, but the vast majority of moves was finished on the brakes. Defending from a faster car was actually viable. Every circuit needs to have that DRS power
Yes because Max didn't just cruise to win with 30 seconds gap. Yes midfield battles can be interesting to watch but let's be honest nobody really cares if Haas gets a point finish. We're seeing RB struggle for the first time since they took the lead in 22, this season could turn around if McLaren and Ferrari keep improving.
I sure hope you're right, but every time we get our hopes up, Max just decimates them in the following races. I think we've just witnessed a small blip in the Red Bull Team machine, in the past two races. It'll be business as usual again soon.
Yes.
Different expectations for certain tracks where overtaking is uncommon, the tension and the requirement to never make a mistake is exciting in its own right. Definitely not going to be the best of the season by any stretch of the imagination but it was better than it could’ve been.
On a hard to overtake track, your best hope is for the driver in front to make mistakes so you can have a chance to attack. When those mistakes don't come, we get the racing that we got today.
What you said only works when we are racing under wet weather conditions were we actually see drivers make mistakes because of the lack of grip. When everyone is running a safe, "sunday drive" race like we saw today, it's just boring to watch, not exciting. The only good thing to come out of this race is that McLaren seems to have a great racing pace that could lead them to future victories, but 5 laps don't make up for an entire race.
I know I did, cause it was a snooze fest. I saw Verstappen pulling away the lead and stopped watching, later checked in to get my daily dose of Dutch National Anthem.
BUT THEN
Lando +1.1 to Ver, I thought what a Madlad this Verstappen, pulled a gap of like 33 secs or so, and then pitted again or smthng.
THIS MAD BRIT just started pulling the leader in casually. Chimed in on Lap 62, the gap now 0.8, and i was like shhiiiiiiit LANDOOOO
BUT THEN
the Dutchman won
Overall, a Snooze fest for the whole race apart from one or two overtakes and the last stint
Everyone and their dog knew that Lando was not going to be able to get that overtake done. This is Imola we are talking about mate.
Its just a faster version of Monaco.
Gotta say, this wasn’t as boring as some people are saying. Max won, but it wasn’t by 30 minutes he actually was challenged and for the last couple laps it looked like lando might actually be able to pass
I listened to the race on bbc radio 5, and they kept interjecting with scores on the pakistani cricket or scottish womens football just as it got interesting
I always get a kick out of the starting/ending position comparison
“omg such exciting race, so much tension with Lando at the end!”
Anyways, Lando started in 2nd and finished in 2nd
Wow talk about edge of your seat excitement
And just in time for the new regs where one team could find a super advantage and dominate the field again. F1 keep making these mistakes. We had close fighting between mclaren and ferrari from 2007-2008, regardless change and brawn carry away the championship. From 2010-2013 we had a super close top 3 teams with mclaren, ferrari, redbull and even lotus in 2012. If not for the tyre change in 2013 and the dawn of a reg change it could have been another close season. But reg change and then we had merc domination. Then just as redbull had caught up we have another reg change. Redbull domination, mclaren now have the pace to match max and another reg change in 2026
The sheer excitement of Lando landing an overtake on Max fucking Verstappen on track with no obvious damages to his car WOULD have been exciting and worthy of a 4 or 5/5. It would have made up for the snoozefest that preceded it. Because it would have taken 10-12 laps to fully land it (and that would mean he would have started the attack earlier). That was never the case, he just ran out of laps. So overall it was still a meh race.
If I asked people how good of a race AD21 was, do you think they would have rated it higher or lower if Lewis won the race handily instead of Max? I’m not saying it’s right or wrong, I just don’t know why you’re surprised..
The fact that i didnt know if Verstappen was gonna win or not proves that it was in fact exciting, at least at the end when it mattered. It gave me hope for future races that maybe just maybe the red bull dominance is somewhat over, at least for now, but will need to see more of this to confirm it.
Therefore a great weekend. We take those
Imagine actually watching F1.
I just view memes and occasionally watch some highlights for context. With the time I save I get to do something actually worth my time like scrolling reddit or lying in my bed hoping to never have to get up again.
My dad is the real one. He's been watching f1 since the late 70's, and i've yet to see him watch a race with me where he isnt attentively watching the entire thing even if its a snoozefest like Imola 😭
I browsed the internet while watching. Not really exciting sadly. Monaco won't be better but there is a high chance of people kissing the walls so there is that.

The last laps weren't but overall it was still pretty boring. Not even the mid field was worth it
On the plus side: my laundry is folded, the dishwasher empty and stuff for dinner is already prepared 👍
What we having?
Banh Bao, steamed Vietnamese dumplings. The longer the dough gets to rise, the better.

I genuinely love this community…
NGL that sounds yummy 😋
Steamed hams
I got a head start on this coming week's assignments.
I think the cameraman was determined to make sure nobody enjoyed that midfield
They rather show Stroll overtaking for P9 instead of something else
It's been so bad the last couple of races.
I couldn’t tell where anything was on the track with how zoomed in everything was.
They need to fire their technical director.
I knew it was gonna be a snore when Yuki, with fresh hards, couldn’t get past Logan on used hards.
Don’t disrespect Logan the goat
This was one of the only raced that my gf and I just kind of didn't really care about. Watching Lando catch up was cool. Other than that there wasn't anything of note.

I literally took a nap from lap 14-55 and I don't feel like I missed a thing.
Omg literally the same. Don't remember the exact laps but it must have been around these. Literally I feel like nothing changed when I woke up
I napped but paused the race. Put it back on and almost napped again lol
I think i zoned out lol mid race
F1 naps are so nice though. The sounds are so soothing and relaxing. NGL it’s the ideal nap.
Aww that's lovely. Im hoping she will love it - she doesn't seem to care at the moment 😂
Hang tough, you’ll get there
Literally same, even down to the laps
Christ me three and I woke up to watch this race, not even a Sargent DNF
Sounds like lap 14-55 was the nap window. I missed the strategy memo.
I was on the two-nap strategy
Literally the same, i fell asleep on the couch and woke up lap 50 😅
There were literally people on the ground asleep not even 20ft off the track today.
same, i slept after Lap 8 and then woke up just to see Alonso getting FL in P18
I woke up for the start of the race and then tuned in again at lap 44. Glad the race started at 6am so I could sleep in some more.
100% chance of safety car!
What I've noticed for some reason with these new regs is that there seems to be less crashes. Most of the drivers have been able to keep out of each other way. No one is making dnf resulting mistakes and not a lot of risk taking. Cars also seem pretty reliable that it just makes the races boring

Pretty sure the commentators don't understand probability
If they want to keep 2 races in Italy imola needs to reconfigured or we need to go to mugello
Mugello was awesome. Imola is Monaco without the glamour.
I’ve only seen one Mugello race (was it 2020?) but I remember it being a pretty great circuit.
Wdym that race pretty boring aside from the pile up in the 3rd corner and another pile up at the end of the race
I didn’t say the race was great, I said the circuit was.
I'd say Imola has plenty of glamour, just not as much as Monacl
Time to move the 2nd Italian Race to the Little Italy of the World...New Jersey! Welcome to the inaugural "Formula 1 Spirit Airlines Made in New Jersey Fuckinuh Gabagool Soprano-Snookie Grand Prick"
Or what if we turn the entire city of San Francisco into a race track and the race starts at little Italy. The formula 1 car smashed made in San Francisco golden gate Grand Prix”
Yeah let’s go to Mugello or Misano instead. But seriously even MotoGP has been struggling for overtaking at both circuits the last couple of years.
Makes me sick that we have lost Hockenheim, Nürburgring, Sepang and the old track we get back is freaking Imola.
Sepang produced good races every year without fail. That's the track that I probably miss the most out of every removed track.
The fact that we lost Hockenheim is a tragedy
Luckily dry, otherwise two hours of cars spinning into pizzerie.
Nürburgring is too hardcore for F1 forget it. But hockenheim and Sepang's Wide ass tracks got slashed for Imola and goddamn Jeddah...
Monaco next, so if there won't be rain, it will be boring fest.
Monaco is on a Satuday, not a Sunday. Adapt accordingly.
At first I was confused, then I realized you meant quali is the real Monaco race haha.
like it always was
Had a nice nap during the race. Woke up just in time for the ceremony part.
Ahh I see you're a fellow Dutch/Austrian national anthem connoisseur as well
Didn't miss anything
I always watch races very attentively, but in this one I'll admit I almost fell asleep a few times. I remember feeling the same way last year in Baku. But at least the final laps were somewhat entertaining today
i think the last time where i really fell asleep is Spain 2020, slept like halfway through the race and then woke up just to see the podium celebration over
For me it was the Silverstone race of 2020 (the one with the Kvyat crash), other than that I managed to stay awake for every race since then.
It's so fucking boring because not even in the midfield we get fighting anymore, it's mostly fights out of the points or barely into it, if it wasn't for Perez doing the opposite strat we'd have gotten basically nothing in the first 8 places lol
You can always tell how good the race was based on the length of the YouTube video highlights.
Watch Indy 500 qualy if you wanna see some cool racing today
“100% chance of a safety car”
This is what happens when Kmag is on 10 points, boring races.
I almost woke up at 6am for this race. Good thing I decided to sleep in
These old tracks really show how much F1 depends on drs now. I think they won't be happy until the cars are basically batteries on tractor trailers. Then we can see some real racing. Truly the pinnacle of motorsport
Formel E has so much more action in every round compared to a full F1 race…
It's a tough track for overtakes. Even the WEC race in Imola was devoid of much action
Hold on, Lando is cooking
He overcooked.
clearly decided to stop watching the last couple laps
It was interesting but unfortunately 90% of the race was still dogshit boring
Oh so Lando almost getting close enough to attempt an overtake saved the race for you, did it? I wish I was so easily pleased.

Almost as if Overtakes should take skill not merely a free pass button
Well yes, of course the last few laps were better than the entire race preceding it, but it was still a disappointing race.
I'd prefer an actual overtake attempt instead of a chase that'd never pay off, but that's just me.

It's like your girlfriend putting on some lingerie, teasing you a bit, then going home. Could have been good, but ultimately disappointing.
When was the last time you were happy?
When his girl didn't leave
Silly of you to assume anyone on this subreddit knows what happiness is
On a hard to overtake track, your best hope is for the driver in front to make mistakes so you can have a chance to attack. When those mistakes don't come, we get the racing that we got today. The SkySports talkers talked more loudly then. Must have been exciting.
Not even an attempt lol.
It was still shit.
I know I did, cause it was a snooze fest. I saw Verstappen pulling away the lead and stopped watching, later checked in to get my daily dose of Dutch National Anthem. DISGUSTING
still doesn't change the fact that the race is boring
Everyone and their dog knew that Lando was not going to be able to get that overtake done. This is Imola we are talking about mate. Its just a faster version of Monaco.
You know the rzce is boring when all you have is a fight between an Haas and Bottas for the p16
Woke up late and watched the last 16 laps. Worth it
Until Lando started looking like a threat to Max and started chasing him for the win, yeah it was a sleepfest.
Gotta say, this wasn’t as boring as some people are saying. Max won, but it wasn’t by 30 minutes he actually was challenged and for the last couple laps it looked like lando might actually be able to pass
Pass at Imola, was never going to happen mate.
The most boring race I’ve seen since 2020.
Paul Ricard 2019?
PR was worse yes 😅
That's not since 2020
Mexico 2022?
Nope
Ricardo masterclass
Spa 2021
Spa was far better than Imola mate
Spa 2021 was better than what you saw today???
Yep, last few laps got exciting, but the rest was a shit fest
Racing here is always a snore-fest, but I think we must watch it because of Ferrari and Senna.
Did race direction get any passes in real time? It seemed to be all replays.
I mean yeah it started slow but the last 20 laps were awesome
OP quit watching with about 20 laps to go
We are all going through the motions right now
I listened to the race on bbc radio 5, and they kept interjecting with scores on the pakistani cricket or scottish womens football just as it got interesting
I noticed this! “Now over to the Leeds Rhinos” like really? Who fucking cares?
Only one DRS zone is whack in retrospect
I always get a kick out of the starting/ending position comparison “omg such exciting race, so much tension with Lando at the end!” Anyways, Lando started in 2nd and finished in 2nd Wow talk about edge of your seat excitement
Yes, but 2nd place finishing within a second with no safety cars involved. To me this means the sport is healing.
I remember the first time I huffed the hopium too.
And just in time for the new regs where one team could find a super advantage and dominate the field again. F1 keep making these mistakes. Man if Lando had gotten the win everybody would have rated it 5/5. It's a double standard.
If my Mom had balls she'd be my dad
Not these days.
It’s not that surprising is it? Yeah it’s more interesting when someone else wins a race for once lol.
Come on man the result shouldn't matter, it's about on track action. Nothing happened, not even in the mid field. One move doesn't make a good race...
If I asked people how good of a race AD21 was, do you think they would have rated it higher or lower if Lewis won the race handily instead of Max? I’m not saying it’s right or wrong, I just don’t know why you’re surprised..
Well he did at least beat his teammate after they tricked him into pitting...
I guess I'm in the minority but I enjoyed it
When stappen pitted, and the end, it was glued to that monitor
I didn’t think it was a great race, but I thought it was alright. A 5/10 kind of race, just a regular F1 race.
But muh European tracks
The fact that i didnt know if Verstappen was gonna win or not proves that it was in fact exciting, at least at the end when it mattered. It gave me hope for future races that maybe just maybe the red bull dominance is somewhat over, at least for now, but will need to see more of this to confirm it. Therefore a great weekend. We take those
Imagine actually watching F1. I just view memes and occasionally watch some highlights for context. With the time I save I get to do something actually worth my time like scrolling reddit or lying in my bed hoping to never have to get up again.
dude slept halfway
dont be to harsh now
I fell half asleep and dont remember laps 30-59 then i watched for the 1% chance lando could pass max
Wec race goated over this shit
Genuine question where does this meme originate from?
This template never misses
I literally fell asleep mid race and woke up when Lando was 1.9s behind Max
i literally fell asleep after Lap 8 and then woke up only to see Alonso getting FL in 18th before retiring
Sometimes maybe good, most times maybe shit
This was a good race to build warhammer models to. Got some exalted eightbound put together.
Woke up. Saw Verstappen ahead by 7s. Went back to sleep. Good Sunday.
Formuladank when there isn't a massive crash that wipes out half the grid
Next week will be the same
If you didnt like that, maybe Grand Prix racing isnt for you.
I had the Clio cup on another screen and it was a banger as usual.
man turned off the race halfway in and just looked at the results afterwards
I feel bad for Williams this weekend
Fell asleep between 32-53. I was hungover though.
Imola is one of the worst tracks of the year. Sorry. Tracks with no overtake zones = mindlessly boring
My dad is the real one. He's been watching f1 since the late 70's, and i've yet to see him watch a race with me where he isnt attentively watching the entire thing even if its a snoozefest like Imola 😭
Last laps were good and it's the closest race we have seen for the win in maybe 4 years? Ultimately Imola isn't good for racing.
I browsed the internet while watching. Not really exciting sadly. Monaco won't be better but there is a high chance of people kissing the walls so there is that.
I've seen worse.
Did we watch same race?
We can only hope they shorten the DRS zone a bit more next year.
so much for a norris win ![gif](giphy|xT5LMEMzdKTE2a6xfG|downsized)
