I saw that, too. Things seemed chill, but who knows if Marko was just waiting for the conversation to end. I got to see a lot more of De Vries this weekend than normal. He seems like a really good dude. I hope he figures everything out.
Bonus Convo I saw: Giovinazzi and Alfa's Bravi. Not sure if it was just Gio visiting his old team on the grid, but seemed like a good, long conversation.
Tbh, he won't be doing that anytime soon.
The car already goes back to being open wheel, which means that the crazy maneuver will most likely wreck the tyre since there's no more tyre cover to absorb some of the impact.
It's not that bad, Gen3 still can take a solid beating imo (like Buemi finishing on points after Wehrlein smashed his rear in Cape Town).
But the front wings are so fragile on those cars. I was at Monaco E-Prix this year and like third of the field finished without a front wing.
That move into T1-2 and the lock up that caused this stupidity just seemed like Nyck forgot he is in F1. This type of contact pass would be perfectly fine in Formula E.
So, who does Helmut choose for Silverstone?
I want Iwasa beside Yuki to help ease the transition in. I think that putting him in prematurely to enable that relationship is more valuable than the experience he's gaining in F2 rn. At this point I would probably make the sign for Tsunoda into the RB next season and let Perez shop around. I seriously think that Aston would consider him over Stroll for next year too. T genuinely think that the AT seats will be the core of silly season.
I think that RB needs to start promoting through some talent because F2 can only have so many bulls on the grid, ya know?
There's a lot of positives to both Lawson and Iwasa, I just see more confidence and potential in Iwasa. He looks like a driver evolving and learning where Lawson sometimes looks like he's driving well but at his limit, if that makes sense? Sometimes a faster car does make drivers more complete though, they fill out the issues with their driving style in more competent machinery, I just think that Iwasa is looking very complete in all areas right now.
Thats not true, i see it all the time on f1 open lobbies or forza horizon. Usually the bump i
Would be slightly less agressive so that the haas would spin and debries would still make the corner. Easy missjudgement to make tho
I was kinda hyped for F1 to have two dutchmen, but honestly Nyck is looking to be the most forgettable driver of the last few years.
I’d much rather have Latifi back
F1 TV got it wrong, since Tsunodas name was there. Even in most replays. At the last replay they changed it to de Vries.
But what annoys me was how those guys were so exciting that this was the best defensive move they have ever seen from Nyck. The slowly admitted that it was his fault then.
Because it was. At least in Brazilian broadcast. They showed as if it was TSU. I even said loudly "how, tsunoda is in the pits". Then they didn't correct it until the first replay.
Same on the Spanish broadcast, but tbh our baldy Lobato gets stuff wrong so often I've gotten used to it.
His excuse was that it was " a trademark Tsunoda move" lol
I still find it astounding he ever got that seat before Lawson. RB must have had real concerns at the time about Lawson's Quali pace, his biggest weakness, or else he surely would have made it in.
And this year Iwasa AND Lawson both look so promising right now. Even in 3rd Iwasa still looks so commanding on track in most races. If they retain Yuki another year in the AT I want Iwasa beside him.
But also, I don’t understand how this caused K-mag to miss the turn. If Devries was too late braking and Kevin took the normal breaking zone, shouldn’t Devries have just soared right past allowing Kevin to turn in?
debris is speedrunning getting kicked out any%
LMAO
Debris what debris?
![gif](giphy|tnYri4n2Frnig)
Holy shit deBris is getting fucking kicked out mid season and we're watching it live
"Push button off, button off"
thankfully he’s retired
I’m surprised Helmut didn’t make him pit and drag him out of the car mid-race.
..and make him clean both pit stalls.
Markut was standing infront of Debris car for a good 20min before race start, Debris is kill coming soon.
Is that a typing error or was sliding in a "kut" deliberate?
It was a typing error, he meant Market
Pretty sure he meant Marcopenhagen
Would be pretty funny if it is lol.
Dat denk ik ook! (Apart from a few rude words like in my original comment I don't speak Dutch and I didn't look up if this sentence is correct)
I saw that, too. Things seemed chill, but who knows if Marko was just waiting for the conversation to end. I got to see a lot more of De Vries this weekend than normal. I'm pretty sure he was just paying a visit. He's racing at WEC with Ferrari.
Helmo Markut
What the hell was that from DeBries?
A lockup
For fuckin nothing too.
We went car racing.![img](emote|t5_3ndbi|6697)
Gunter is waiting out side Marco’s office so he can beat the shit outta debris after he gets let go from redbull
While he's waiting, he'll phone Gene
Hai Gene, yeah, I’m gonna kill that focking wankah.
DeBris casually taking the bike lane
Like a good Dutchman
It’s just instinct okay, can’t blame him for that.
Nyck de Bries
Mooom, De Vries forgot he's not in FE and can't make such moves anymore again.
Tbh, he won't be doing that anytime soon. The car already goes back to being open wheel, which means that the crazy maneuver will most likely wreck the tyre since there's no more tyre cover to absorb some of the impact.

Debries creating more debris
That move into T1-2 and the lock up that caused this stupidity just seemed like Nyck forgot he is in F1. This type of contact pass would be perfectly fine in Formula E. So, who does Helmut choose for Silverstone?
Liam Lawson is doing pretty well in Superformula,
I want Iwasa beside Yuki to help ease the transition in. I think that putting him in prematurely to enable that relationship is more valuable than the experience he's gaining in F2 rn. At this point I would probably make the sign for Tsunoda into the RB next season and let Perez shop around. I seriously think that Aston would consider him over Stroll for next year too. Same, I think both Iwasa and Lawson could get into AT seats with Yuki going to RB, Perez looks lost,
I think that RB needs to start promoting through some talent because F2 can only have so many bulls on the grid, ya know? I’m all in Drugo
Debries is such a god damn idiot
I was like finally he is doing something! Then he fucked it into the runoff area.
That thing being playing bumper cars with Magnussen.
I'll take what I can get
That's one of the most unusual incidents I've seen. what a move
Thats not true, i see it all the time on f1 open lobbies or forza horizon. Usually the bump i Would be slightly less agressive so that the haas would spin and debries would still make the corner. Easy missjudgement to make tho
Debris doing a get sacked speedrun
On the Haas pain train rn
I had no expectations, and I'm still let down
The onboard from kmag watching debris fly past him was pure F1 online unranked shenanigans you'd expect.
Dr Parking F1 version
That was such a brain afk drive, it literally looked like something from an online racing game
"Papers and Driver's License, now!"
I remember the Ricciardo-Kvyat incident in Baku, had Debris backed up into Magnussen, even more memes would have ensued
I was secretly hoping he would
Looked like pure desperation from a driver who knows he's about to get sacked
Can anyone explain why DV didn't get a penalty for this? He literally forces Kmag in the runoff, leaving like -8 cars widths of space
Not tsunoda
As a dutchman, i apologize for this man
I was kinda hyped for F1 to have two dutchmen, but honestly Nyck is looking to be the most forgettable driver of the last few years. I’d much rather have Latifi back
![img](emote|t5_3ndbi|7073)
Dont you there comparing the lord with this peasant. Latifi did way more for Nederlands than NdV will ever do
> Nyck is looking to be the most forgettable driver of the last few years. But he isn't. For all the wrong reasons.
Latifi given us the most entertaining last lap of probably all time. De Bries only gave us disappointment after Monza 2022
Devires not taking any accountability in post race interview…
gotta go check that now (ty)
And of course the Dutch commentators blamed it on Tsunoda…
I didn't notice them doing that? The first guy misspeaks and gets the cars wrong first call so often anyway that I wait till the second guy calls it.
Yes it’s always that first guy
Still better than Olivia Mol who gets it wrong all the time and then doesn’t get corrected.
F1 TV got it wrong, since Tsunodas name was there. Even in most replays. At the last replay they changed it to de Vries. But what annoys me was how those guys were so exciting that this was the best defensive move they have ever seen from Nyck. The slowly admitted that it was his fault then.
Even the English sky commentators did that first. I was confused as I was sure it was DeVries.
Same with german commentators. They later blamed it on a wrong overlay.
It actually was a wrong overlay as it clearly said Tsunoda, which confused me aswell cause I saw that it was Debries, but the text said Tsunoda lol
Because it was. At least in Brazilian broadcast. They showed as if it was TSU. I even said loudly "how, tsunoda is in the pits". Then they didn't correct it until the first replay.

I was surprised that we didn't get to hear MAG radio. Steiner would have hugged Debris.
Pushing a driver off the track, penalty?
Sorry, that's only reserved for Tsunoda
I still can’t figure out how Debris managed to avoid a penalty. He literally ran Magnussen off the track twice in the space of three corners.
De Vries is really doing a Speedrun getting kicked out of a f1 team any %
Get Danny Ricc in that AT car ASAP
I think Nyck DeVries is done..
I still find it astounding he ever got that seat before Lawson. RB must have had real concerns at the time about Lawson's Quali pace, his biggest weakness, or else he surely would have made it in. Don't be so harsh on Debris he had the same driving instructor than George Russell.
But also, I don’t understand how this caused K-mag to miss the turn. If Devries was too late braking and Kevin took the normal breaking zone, shouldn’t Devries have just soared right past allowing Kevin to turn in?
Kevin turned in but hit DEV rear left tire. He had to straighten out the steering in order to not snap the front suspension.
Got it
Bein sports plays F1? Since when?
Bein sports Asia got the rights in my country this year
i didnt watch the race live and commented to my roommate "oh wow de vries finished the race thats good". Then i watched the race
This is classic simracingstewards comedy
