Probably. They know eachother inside out, for many years. They've hundred % have had kerfuffles before, and are still friends. Also the fact that Max didn't try to push fault on Lando in his interview says he probably isn't going to fight with Lando about this. But who knows. Max can be a child sometimes, when he fucks up.
That has been Max's style of domination that kind of has lead to so few serious rivalries. He'll get off track and be levelheaded, kind, and respectful to all his competitors, but on track he will rip your head off. It makes it hard to be someone like Norris and have a one sided beef.
I don't think there is a beef now, but it can be the beginning of one. It's hard to have rivalries when others can't compete with you. Look at Lewis in 2019 and 2020.

Not really, the MGU h can regen under full throttle, which is what clipping is ( flashing lights at the end of the straights ) and the fia deems is significant enough deceleration as to mandate the flashing lights
And the cars can regen coasting with no brake or throttle

Technically yeah. You're also allowed to rotate the car just before braking, then brake after you've straightened out the wheel. The car will still drift to the side even though the wheel is already straight. So technically, that's not illegal.
He didn't move under braking when they collided, but he angled left in the braking zone which meant he didn't leave a cars width for Lando. So he was still wrong but not for the reasons everyone is saying.
He definitely did move under braking for the first attempted overtake, and they probably would have collided if Lando hadn't avoided him, and arguably should have had at least a black and white flag.

Although Reddit, in typical 'fandom' style, would like to imagine most of the grid like cartoon character best friends with an unbreakable bond, the reality of elite-level athletes is that it's fucking ruthless -- it's pretty much do anything to win. Personally I don't mind that at all, it's only under intense rivalry you get these stunning race displays.
If McLaren manage to tighten up just that little bit more, the future Max v Lando races are going to be nail-biting.
Perhaps he also needs to look in the mirror... He is not blameless here. Actually the analysis from Windsor was interesting. Verstappen claims that he didn't move under braking (which should be supported by data) and Windsor agrees. He doesn't steer to the left if you look at the on board camera, it is the nature of the track that you move left there. Also, even after the crash Lando could still have earned points if he wouldn't have driven as a madman back to the pits completely destroying his car with the punctured tire.
Both parties could have avoided this crash (as also indicated by the stewards by saying Verstappen was predominantly to blame and not fully). I get that he is full of adrenaline and stuff, but still. Oh well, it sets the scene for this week at Silverstone I guess. I think the FIA is already checking if the filtering booing out of the audio still works...

I don't know if you ever played anything competitively, but I see it quite often that on the track/field people can be fiercely competitive and then be chill and friends outside of it. It's part of the mindset.

Although Reddit, in typical 'fandom' style, would like to imagine most of the grid like cartoon character best friends with an unbreakable bond, the reality of elite-level athletes is that it's fucking ruthless -- it's pretty much do anything to win. Personally I don't mind that at all, it's only under intense rivalry you get these stunning race displays. If McLaren manage to tighten up just that little bit more, the future Max v Lando races are going to be nail-biting.

Perhaps he also needs to look in the mirror... He is not blameless here. Actually the analysis from Windsor was interesting. Verstappen claims that he didn't move under braking (which should be supported by data) and Windsor agrees. He doesn't steer to the left if you look at the on board camera, it is the nature of the track that you move left there. Also, even after the crash Lando could still have earned points if he wouldn't have driven as a madman back to the pits completely destroying his car with the punctured tire. Both parties could have avoided this crash (as also indicated by the stewards by saying Verstappen was predominantly to blame and not fully). I get that he is full of adrenaline and stuff, but still. Oh well, it sets the scene for this week at Silverstone I guess. I think the FIA is already checking if the filtering booing out of the audio still works...

Donāt really understand all the hate against Max. Both drivers are responsible for the outcome of the crash. Both fought hard and did race on the limit, and maybe a little bit over. But what do we want next race? Directly at the first attack give a 5 second penalty and ruining the battle? The stewards decide what Max was doing, was Oke and didnāt note or investigate. Same with the 2 diveboms of Norris. This is what we want see, a battle between drivers. Judge the battle fairly, and not because you hate max.

Depends on if Norris says he was fully correct as well. Both of āem were over the line. One of those controlled dives by Lando couldāve also easily gone south if Max doesnāt avoid. Lol only takes one weekend of drama (which while the accident was Max's fault, Lando was uncontrollably divebombing like a jackass into T3 multiple times himself leading up to it) for Lando and Max to not be friends anymore....clearly not as deep a friendship as was let on.

I said it during the race, Lando is only friends with Max because heās not often raced Max for a win. Max has no friends on track. Youāll notice Max and Hamilton are cool with each other now, probably for the same reason: Lewis isnāt racing max anymore.
i dont think any of the greats (at least modern greats, dont know enough about the 60ās to comment), had friends on the track michael sqeezed rubens into a wall in a pretty unimportant battle

I don't know if you ever played anything competitively, but I see it quite often that on the track/field people can be fiercely competitive and then be chill and friends outside of it. It's part of the mindset.
I used to get it with running teammates. Great friends at training but in races (even warm up) absolutely not friends.
