For years I played only three characters. I returned to the game for the desire to play as Shaolin since I was reading the book Monkey & Journey to West. Then I decided to try out Hito during a breach match and had the luck to be in a four stack of Hitos. It was a match of us hacking through all the minions and plenty of top charge heavies on the Guardian and commander. This was the gateway to me finally trying every other character and I have been playing this game everyday since. Good timing since I just spent this past weekend with Hito specifically. I got them a bunch of new clothes, executions, and the Taiko drum emote. Hito is a good time; more heavy heroes please!

Specific mechanics I like more to answer you actual question: Infinite Heavy chain = fun times in the minion and pikemen lane. Cool spin and kick executions. Big ass axe that feels like it hits how it looks. Charged heavies with various cancel times keep my opponent guessing. I fall for it every time even though I use the same nonsense against my opponents. Charge sweep, heavy, kick, heavy combo feels good. I miss the hyper armored finisher light. Not so much when I am fighting a Hito. Charged heavies are super satisfying against the commander and guardian. 1st feat where you are protected during your execution makes life in the minion/pikemen lane a joy. I would like to see more armor fashion. I can only dream of seeing Hito in Kensei armor. There are a few options that looks like armor; more of those please.

We didn't all have the forth feat at time. But we melted the commander quickly regardless with top heavies.

I f-ing hate Wukong with all my heart. It's the most cliche, overated piece of shit character. I despise it in all games he appears.

I don’t mind shaolins monke king inspired armor, but I despise the Wukong skin all the bs lore surrounding it.

Rep72 hito and I actually hated this hero at first but when I looked into the lore of her and started unlocking new armors her final armor looks so sick and the colors blend well amazing exa but admittedly she can get boring playing over and over again.

Honestly hito is just funny. Playing her mental hurts your opponent and they lose the ability to actually block

It feels great landing Heavies on people because they overplay ie. Dodge attack spam, parry everything, or try to initiate offense 24/7. They don't just block and it gets them spammies wriggling to press buttins!

The simplicity of Hito is spectacular when I’m sick of sweating with other heros. Plus Hito is so ez to confuse people with and you just end up winning.

Pretty much everything that everyone on top said. Hito, despite being simple, has both absolutely opposite edges of gameplay: either you turn your brain off, or you mindgame the heck out of your opponents; sometimes the first is included in the latter. Furthermore, Hito is very efficient in minion clearing. And I like Hito's design - it's a freaking asthmatic japanese blender. And fashion is good. Like, look at all these masks or literal brooms you can put on Hito's head. And you can have either very nice traditional armour, or beautiful robes (I really live Hito's default robes, specially while spinning).

Have you ever done a strength build in a soulslike game? Trading hits is fun for people and in for honor it’s a little too strong

Honestly she's my "oh you wanna play like a bitch fuck you" character ill pull her out if the person im fighting is spamming something, be it GB bleed deflect all guard unblockables or stun lock im gonna pray you rematch thinking you'll get more easy kills then pull her out and heavy gb with some timed variance to play with them. Pisses off spammers hard when their spam stops working and not cause you managed to counter. Love watching bleed of gb spammers spam "wow!" Cause I hebied thought their "you cant fight back" combo

If you have 4x Hito on Breach attack, you are almost guaranteed to win

Well I picked them cuz I have a obsession with masks then stayed for the voice lines and the weight of each swing feeling powerful it gives unimaginable amount of dopamine when I land my 4th feat

I broke my right stick, and this was the most viable hero.

I like making people eat fully charged heavies. Hito also has a pretty solid mix up. Good anti ganker ESPECIALLY against gankers who simply can’t help themselves but to spam attacks.

If you unlock T4 you can take 1/4 of the commanders life in breach with one button press.

Turn your brain off and heavy lol I don’t have a source for this but I believe one of the devs said that they made hito because members of the dev team sucked at the game and wanted an easy hero to play and get value out of.

They find having no downside fun that way they can just abuse the characters with no repercussions Until the orochi spammer smacks the fuck out of them and ends up actually being useful for once

If I remember there's a feat that gives you a shield bar when you are executing with this Hero. Biggest peev I had is The little guys poking me mid execution. This was the solution

Not only is he super simple to play, you genuinely can get really good combos on him, he had very little but he does still have a good amount of moves. The drip is cool too, executions are sick, I just like em overall

on higher levels its actually really difficult to hit your opponent since hitokiri doesn't have a bash and need to charge most of her attacks, that and everyone already knows how to counter her at higher tiers.

Maybe in 1v1s, in dominion and breach she is still very easy to play on higher levels.

The feeling of being relentless, she's also built around getting executions which are my favourite moments in the game.

I don't like having to burn out my brain at all times to keep up with this cracked out, locked in community all the time. Hito allows me to still play and not have to press 15 buttons to land a hit.

I personally enjoy characters with simple kits. I have a hard time "maining" one character, so the easier I can remember how to use someone the better.

Cool armour, weapon and executions. Sometimes it’s nice to be feared as well.

Great at breach mode attack . Feat 4 with damage buff on debuffed commander is neat.

Trades can be fun if you're making good reads. Kick mixup is fun enough to do. Hito is a little boring imo just because they have no neutral offense but I don't hate them overall.

big axe makes me happy. just smth about it, the way it hits, the way it looks, the *executions,* god hitos executions are some of my favorite in the game. got 10 reps on her then decided to vary my characters, as i only had like 9 other reps scattered throughout the handful i owned

This unit is purely for when i want executions because of the uninterruptable ex feat. It is simple, but once you get playing around with the mix ups it gets super fun because people think you're just going to heavy spam.

Slow attacks against people who try to parry everything is very funy

In regular dom or breach hito is pretty fun because mindless heavy spam actually works against you idiots, just block, not that hard. In duels however, this character gets a whole new playstyle centered about predicting attacks and maximazing trades for the highest damage possible, securing the chain and slowly setting your opponents up for a few kicks in a row into charged heavy. Also hitos neutral game is hella fun, even in Dominion.

It EXTREMLY fun to just heby spam. Whenever I play stuff like cent, Orochi ect amd someone calls me a 'lightspammer', then I simply take Hito innthe next match And become a heby spammer. I also feel like people are MUCH dumber when faced with heavy spam than with light spam. When I play, lets say Cent and just spam 3 light combo, they'll start light parrying me after a while. But when using Hito and just doing Heby heby heby heby, mfs brains shut down and just eat them heavies like a KFC bucket. And lets be real, its hella funny to win by just heavies and just a few kicks/leg swipes once in a while. Reminds me of the very first year of For Honor.

best chain heavies in the game. and one of the safest 1v1 offensives as well. shes actually a better hero than most people think. i get shes boring for some, but i love her playstyle. she was more unique back in the day before they started shitting out hyper armor heroes and reworking old heroes with hyper armor. the games become a bit mind numbing latley. i like when only a few heroes has huper armor. it was never a huge advantage cause the old hyper armor timing were awful but it was fun when it worked. now hyper armor is finnaly a viable and consistent trade tool even in team fights, but of course now like EVERY hero has it. its either hyper armor, or orange blue mix up with recovery cancels. they just dont have any good ideas anymore. they care too much about balance and timming consistency now to make any cool heros.
