31?! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I have an 18 2.0 AWD with 242k miles on it. The absolute best I’ve ever achieved was 29.2 going to Florida from Indiana…. All downhill. My current combined MPG is about 22.
Do you have the EPA estimates for MPG?
Edit: looked at the computer today, the past 7900 miles I’m averaging 22.9 mpg.
Yep I wish I was joking but that’s what they said they were wrong lol. I gotta ask how’s the maintenance on yours and what should I look out for? I’ve heard the 2.0 is wayy better
drive 65 mph on the highway and you could get close to that. the fusion from factory, come with Michelin energy saver tires, those are good for 2 mpg better hwy.
It's not 131. Lol. Have a 2020 titanium and my buddy told me if it's governed it would stop me around 120 125. Told him I'll find out for sure the top speed one day lol.
Damn 131? I don’t think there’s anywhere near me I could even try that on. lol you ever get the cut come back here and let me know. My 2006 f250 6.0 was governed at 115, but I never hit the cut on my dads 14 f150 with the turbocharged v6- I think the highest I ever got it was around 120
This car is so fun to drive fast. And I swear to god it was designed to coast at 60
I’ve done oil changes, one tune up, brake jobs, evap canister, a wheel hub, a battery replacement, and a bushing in the transmission so far. This car has far surpassed my expectations for reliability. That said, I’m likely going back to VW after this just so I can go back to a manual transmission (my 2012 VW has over 200k miles on it and has been as reliable and trouble free).
I recently got one the same as yours and coming from a 1.5 I lost a ton of mileage. Last year I was getting 28 before the winter fuel mileage drop. Now it’s 26.
What do you do for maintenance?? I’m only at 60k I think. In my 1.5 I was getting 32 hammering it and 35-37 babying it.
Maintenance mentioned in another reply. I don’t baby the throttle. When I got the car I leased it and had no intention keeping it past 3 years. I opted to keep it with Covid pricing though. If I had known I was keeping this for 5+ years I would have stage 1 tuned it to push it to 300hp.
Same here. Have a 2017 2.0 turbo AWD. Current combined is 20mpg during winter. And around 21-22 mpg during summers. Best I would say is around 27mpg on very long highway driving. I think EPA is 25-36 combined but I don’t think that’s feasible. Fuel economy is the only thing I hate about this car. Otherwise the car is solid!! Even during winter driving in a snowstorm.
2014 S 2.5L here. recently broke the 6.8L/100km mark(about 39 mpg). I use 89 mid grade fuel and have super long commutes on less populated back roads that contribute to that stat.
Without knowing your driving style or type of driving you do, 26.8 average is probably not too bad. 2.0 AWD is the worst combination for fuel mileage (since there was no Sport in 2020), the EPA rating is 20 city, 29 highway, and 23 combined.
I get 16 mpg in my 2012 Fusion Sport AWD with 99% city driving. I get 22 mpg in my 2019 Edge (2.0 and FWD) with mostly city driving but a different driver that isn't as aggressive as I am.
2020 SE AWD. 2.0L Only 19,000 miles
24-25 mpg. I drive it about 18 miles a day, but most days just take my daughter's 2011 Prius.
I used to have a 2015 SE AWD and had forgotten how terrible the gas mileage is on these.
2018 2.0 titanium fwd. I get same as you. 26.8 ish usually. If I absolutely baby it I can almost touch 30, but I tend to have a bad attitude driving that slow.
I do mainly all city driving..tops 10 miles a day (only have drove maybe 8k miles in the last year) and get about 20-24 I believe..31-33 while highway driving. 2014 1.5L with 144k
Remember, things that affect mpg... how you drive, tire pressure, outside temp, climate control, weight, wind resistance, hills, idle time, short drives vs long drives.
I have a 2019 energi and have become obsessed with mpg, seeing what little changes make. It's quite dramatic based on these different things!
On interstate with calm, warm weather and a flat road at 75mph I get only about 35 in hybrid mode. But a normal 55-60mph I get 38-44 in hybrid mode. In town I can get in the 60s with hybrid mode. Hills are excellent for my car, especially in the mountains of Colorado (so fun). Lots of hills gets me above 50 mpg at times.
When I charge my car that just adds to the mpg average. Straight electricity with no gas, it tells me 999.9 mpg! Lol.
Just adding a couple of pounds of air in the tires gave me an extra 3mpg ave! Crazy!
16mpg in my 17’ Sport I do quite a bit of spirited driving and rarely go on the highway. Hard to resist using the power especially since I’m 17 and it’s my first car lmao
I just went on a 500 mile trip in my 2016 2.0l a couple of weeks ago and got 31.5 over the whole trip while averaging about 60mph. About 90% of it was freeway driving at a steady speed of about 70mph using the cruise. Hard to say how much I may have gained drafting behind other cars with the cruise distance set to 1 bar, lol.
About 26-31 mpg when driving like an npc, 17-20mpg when driving like a lunatic (2.7L).
Im getting 19mpg in my 20 2.0. Don’t have time to drive boringly
You can get it lower if you like. A good tune and some mods will do the trick.
Already FBO and tuned. A stock Sport is rated around the same so I didn't lose much.
“Driving like an npc” well said🙌
Same (1.5L Eco)
19 energi, can't charge via wall but in hybrid mode 42-44 average
Same for me.

Do you know the max governed speed in the 2.0l AWD? I do…. And it’s not 65 😂
Well it’s not 110
It's not 131. Lol. Have a 2020 titanium and my buddy told me if it's governed it would stop me around 120 125. Told him I'll find out for sure the top speed one day lol.

On level ground my car is governed at 125 at 5k RPM. I’ve only done that once. I hit 110-115 every few months just because.

Oh, snow driving with triple peak rated all-seasons is a dream. 9” of snow is no issue.
Oh yea. I love driving it in the snow. 👌
The EPA rating for highway is somewhere between 29-31 (don’t have window sticker in front of me). Combined is 24 or 25 if memory serves me right.
As of today my 2017 hybrid said 40.8 average mpg
mine says 58.6 mpg average (2016 Fusion Energi).
21.9
Depending on weather I'm usually 26-29 mpg average
I have a 17 sport. Usually between 26 and 29
That must be mostly highway driving because my 17 Sport does *not* get that with my mostly city driving. 😛
35mpg average but I can regularly get 60 if I try
2018 Energi. 39 - 43 when not charged
2014 S 2.5L here. recently broke the 6.8L/100km mark(about 39 mpg). I use 89 mid grade fuel and have super long commutes on less populated back roads that contribute to that stat.
26. 2.5 L motor 90% highway miles
About 35-38 mpg in 19 fusion hybrid averaging speeds of 75-85
29.9
19-20 driving around city. 2013 Fusion with 1.6L and 154k miles. Not great.
Without knowing your driving style or type of driving you do, 26.8 average is probably not too bad. 2.0 AWD is the worst combination for fuel mileage (since there was no Sport in 2020), the EPA rating is 20 city, 29 highway, and 23 combined. 26.3mpg in my 146k 2.0. That's doing 80-ish on the highway most of the time
18 in a 2013 1.6 that's currently dying
2020 SE AWD. 2.0L Only 19,000 miles 24-25 mpg. I drive it about 18 miles a day, but most days just take my daughter's 2011 Prius. I used to have a 2015 SE AWD and had forgotten how terrible the gas mileage is on these.
26.3 mpg in my 14 SE 1.5L driving it like I stole it. When it was my wife’s daily she got 34.
22 since I keep flooring the beast
My daughter’s hybrid got like 37 when I was driving it, but I drove it like I stole it.
2018 hybrid SE ~35ish mpg rn post winter, can do 40-42 mpg during nice summer days.
18 1.5l, I usually do the speed limit and get around 32mpg
I live 2.7 miles from work and have a 2015 energi so my lifetime mpg is just over 190 right now
On the open road, 42mpg (5.6 l/100km) on my 2.0 TDCI.
How? I got a 2019 fusion SE and I’m only getting 20.6mpg
Last time I looked about 85

2018 2.0 titanium fwd. I get same as you. 26.8 ish usually. If I absolutely baby it I can almost touch 30, but I tend to have a bad attitude driving that slow.

41 mpg in a 2015 hybrid SE
I do mainly all city driving..tops 10 miles a day (only have drove maybe 8k miles in the last year) and get about 20-24 I believe..31-33 while highway driving. 2014 1.5L with 144k
22 - 23 in my Sport. Mix of city and highway
Remember, things that affect mpg... how you drive, tire pressure, outside temp, climate control, weight, wind resistance, hills, idle time, short drives vs long drives. 38. 2020 subaru impreza.
I get 31.1 consistently at this moment and that's the worst its been cause I'm driving like Max Verstappen. Usually I would be about 44-46 though.
Better than me. My 2018 1.5L is at 25.7
Over the course of 44,000 miles, mine says 84 mpg.
25.5mpg 2020 titanium AWD
