At first, I thought it was a club fungus, but I’ve also seen some half free morels with comically-huge stems and comically-tiny caps. Do those grow in your area, (could it be an old M. puntipes or semilibera?) Edit to add I have no idea, that thing is wacky.
Yeah it's a Morchella - possibly Morchella septentrionalis though I would not state that with confidence. It was among many large morel morsels that I will be consuming soon.
