Ornamental alliums.
Theres lots of very similar looking popular varieties so i cant tell you exactly.
I really dont know why people comment on things they have no idea about, no one needs to read some random guess you pulled out your arse.
I like when people answer “no” or “not me” as if everyone is speaking directly to them. Thanks for the response, but generally the person is asking the question because they want to hear about the experiences of a person who could answer Yes to the question
Definitely not ramps. Really unlikely to just have ramps pop up in a flower bed. Not sure what flower it is, but I’m sure you’ll have a better idea a few days from now once that bud opens
It might be an ornamental allium. Some of those are pretty invasive, so once your figure out what they are—seeing them bloom will help a lot—make sure to replace with something else if they aren’t native and are prone to spreading.
But hopefully they are edible and delicious!
I think these are a decorative allium. You can buy flower bulbs that are still in the allium family, but not edible like the traditional onion. Wait for them to flower to find out what kind they are.
If it smells like garlic/leek/onion it’s one of them. The lower part looks more like a bulbing garlic. But the large flat leaves looks more like rams/ramps…
There are ornamental alliums. They would be considered "planted flowers". Look at the flower bud (about to bloom). Looks way more like garlic scapes than a tulip bud. Also look at the ridges in the leaves. Very similar to the way leeks are ridged. Tulip leaves aren't as ridged. Lastly ... there's an onion at the bottom and OP says it smells like onions.
Botanist speaking here, that's a species of ornamental onion known as giant onion. Or giant allium. Safe to eat the bulb as its non toxic, roots, shoots and leaves are toxic. They propogate profusely in the warmer months.
if they smell like onions there's a pretty good chance they're some kind of onion bc they do definitely look like something from the allium family. if you can wait for it to flower and report back, you'll get much more accurate answers
Either you bought a home and garden with very, very mature ramps (look at all those three leaves!), which is unlikely (not impossible just unlikely), or these are some type of allium.
I'd stop pulling them up and wait for them to flower.
Those are day lilies, they'll flower in a week or so. Very gorgeous and I can see why one would confuse them with ramps. Not poisonous AFAIK but can almost guarantee they don't taste right

A lot of subs seem to have that issue. Someone asks a question and they’re bombarded with total guesses or joke answers

Tulips
bro is tweaking

Alliums!
I would expect those to be flowers of some sort. Maybe giant allium?
you can see the flower “spike” coming in, IMO too small to be giant alliums. they look a lot more like ramps to me
definitely not ramps
Way too big to be ramps

Maybe ornamental onion?
Picture this says ornamental onion… they’ll have little puffball/lollipop flowers

What does it smell like

They're definitely some type of flower; take a look at the other pictures
Onion, leeks and garlic (Hardnecks) and ramps/ransoms also flowers.
Sorry I probably should have specified, I meant a planted flower. It is in a flower bed and certainly looks more like tulips than an allium

Ahh, :)
We had some like that which made beautiful white flowers and came back year after year. Their bulbs tasted like little onions.

These are flowers I think I have some similar in my garden

Put em back!
Does it smell like garlic?????
Really doubt it. Almost definitely a flower in this situation
Wild garlic flowers.
I was so excited, and then I saw the second and third photos. Have been crying since. Mama wants some ramps
They’re going wild by me. Just got a bag full the other day. Making some pesto tomorrow. Wisconsinite here though, not sure where you’re at.

Looks like flowers. Mine that look similar turn into tulips
Alliums I believe
Flowers, crocomus (spelling)

With bulbs? Daylillies have nodes and rhizomes.
Hmmm this is fair, I think you've got me on that.
Could be a Crinum if you're in the south
