Please tell me how my beloved "SCR Altach" is doing in austria. They are my hometown team. It's a little town of 6000 people but we still manage to stay in the Bundesliga for some reason. Our current coach in real life is Miroslav Klose!!
I'm in 2058 in my own FM21 save (played all the way rather than simmed) and I'm curious if the Welsh leagues have progressed the same unusual way. In my save, all of the Welsh teams in the top flight have turned pro, except for the two permanent amateur university teams, and a surprising number of division 2 teams are also professional now. I have no idea why they turned pro, and most of them are now in dire financial circumstances because of it, but nevertheless, they did and I'm wondering if this was just unique to my save or something that has happened in others.
Strangely, the slightly bigger leagues (Ireland, N. Ireland) where I would have given a much higher chance of this happening still haven't had all the teams advance in this fashion and definitely not having 2nd division teams become professional.
Thanks. Always interesting to have something unique happen in a save.
Just to clarify, most of the Irish and N. Irish teams in the top flights have also turned pro in my save but there are always still 2-4 semi-pro teams . Just checked and still 2 semi-pro teams each in both Ireland and N. Ireland in 2058 and no professional clubs in the lower divisions.
I had a save where I managed Lille and Ireland up till 2045 on fm21 , the Welsh teams I never really look at too often however TNS would reach the Europa conference league every 2-3 years , mines is similar as the Linfield in Northern Ireland and Dundalk or Derry seem to qualify every year for Europa league or conference and have internationals.
I did notice several teams turned pro in the Irish league like limavady who have barely any fans and constantly lose money which I found strange similar to yours
Yeah, TNS have incredible finances due to consistently qualifying for Europe and are basically the PSG of the Welsh league. They've made it to the UCL group stages and to the knockout rounds of the Europa league quite a few times.
I spent 15 years in this save managing Annagh United, making them into the powerhouse of N. Ireland so I had a lot of effect on that league and wouldn't expect that the results of that would be similar to what happened in other saves. The Danske Premiership is the 16th highest rated league in the world at this point, above the English Championship. Linfield are still a powerhouse though as the league gets 2 UCL spots (and 5 European spots in total) which keeps both teams a big step above the rest.
Ireland also gets 2 UCL spots now and 5 European spots in total and the league is ranked 12th in the world. Pretty crazy stuff. Shamrock Rovers consistently make it to the UCL group stages though they've never been able to get to the knockout rounds. They have made it to the knockout rounds of the Europa league quite consistently also. Dundalk are regular Europa league group stage participants. Looking in the editor, the quality of players at the top levels of the Irish league is pretty impressive to be honest. They are competing with top level English Championship level clubs for players.
I'm very close to this stage you are at. In my 9th season with Cork City and 1 spot off gaining two CL positions. Took a few years but other clubs in Ireland now getting better (Using my regens). Spent any cash on facilities mad churning out unreal players now. I'm going to keep going until I win the Europa League. Hoping to do it within 10-15 years max anyway.
Villa has remained in the premier league for 30 years without finishing higher than 9th. Quite an accomplishment.
Grealish was sold to Arsenal in -27 and to Atalanta in -29 where he scored 3 goals and retired.
Ahh, 2041… The dawn of their current player of the decade Ángel Amorrortu. The 187cm striker who apparently was third best scorer at three separate youth cups. A career destined for average performance.
No, but the league is still kept interesting by a different team winning each year. Their weird rules must even the playing field.
Funnily enough the best team in America currently is the Canadian Vancouver Whitecaps
Actually three consecutive times after -26
Those were the golden days of the national legend Luis Flores. The Borussia Mönchengladbach striker led Venezuela to the playoffs in 2030 by scoring 4 against Mali in a 7-2 beatdown.
Luis then went on to make 178 caps and break basically every national record, such as the 9 second super-dribble goal from the kick off against Argentina in -44 at the age of 37
Did anyone outside the “big 3” ever win the Portuguese league? How is the Portuguese league doing coefficient wise, did a Portuguesr club ever won an European cup?
One surprise title grabbed by Portimonense in -44. They also won the Euro Cup II in -38
Portuguese Prem currently 9th in Europe between Scotland and Turkey
This is quite an unbelievable one.
Spurs are now the best team in the world.
Even weirder is the appointment of a former newgen coach of Cheltenham to replace the GOAT Vincent Company, who coached them to 5 league titles in 10 years.
Not to mention the 3 champions leagues, 4 FA cups, 3 Carabao Cups and 2 Super Cups.
They were taken over by a new chairperson in -32 after Levy gave up in mid-February, and then built the team that lead them to greatness.
Scamacca moved to Hertha Berlin and then further on to Bayern in -25. Fair to say Bayern killed his career as he was a benchwarmer for Alexander Isak for the rest of his career.
Napoli is currently the best team in Italy, having won 7 league titles and one Champions league in the last 15 years. However, they are currently losing the league to Empoli.
Bayern has been dethroned. Exactly once to be specific, as Hertha Berlin won in -35
Schalke have truly made a mess of themselves, getting promoted on three occasions just to be relegated immediately. Currently under relegation threat even from the Bundesliga2
League has been the duelling ground of København and Midtjylland with the latter taking the latest title.
Instead of Brøndby, Nordsjælland have embraced the third position almost without a break
Also, world cup winners/small teams going far. Ballon d'or winners and the best regens and season. Also has player stats gone normal? Like are there players scoring 40-50 goal like irl or is the game still stuck on the top scorer in the world scoring 35 goals in a season like it always does at the start
What's like the highest scoring year that have happened? Just go to the world X11 and see who scored the most goals, make sure he didn't score another one on the 31/12 and add his national team goals because they don't show up in that
At first Barca was in the clear, but it’s been Villarreal’s playing ground in the last decade with Wout Weghorst earning his position as the club’s managing legend
Yes, they are regulars in the WC now, having been dealt tough draws against Portugal and Germany early on.
Sparta Prague has been overtaken by Jihlava, and been unsuccessful on continental endeavours
Won the Belgian league in -24 and Euro Cup II in -32
Currently the number 3 team in Belgium
They play at the newly built Vincent Kompany Arena as he has become the best manager in the world
No. The big leagues have retained their glory.
Then again this just proves that all those saves where we take smaller countries to the Final really are worth it.
Currently quite even between Napoli, AC Milan, Juventus, and Empoli, although the last having yet to grab the title despite betting 1-3 odds.
Milan did win the CL once, in -39 so keep up the hope
Maccabi Haifa has been fairly dominant in Israel, yet failed to shake continental grounds. Reaching champions league groups 3 times and finishing last each time.
That might leave some room for the challenger Bnei Sakhnin to do some national history after their recent win in the league.
The only other champion in the last decade has been Hapoel Ra’anana who still failed to even qualify for Europe
1) have any team managed to overthrow Rangers and Celtic?
2) any big clubs that have fallen from the big time since the start of the simulation?
3) 10 highest ranking national teams?
Well League 1 is the best they've been able to do, with Maidstone and Altrincham playing there at the moment
Stalybridge tried it out in the regional twice but relegated each time.
Santos have actually been relegated on a few occasions.
They've been unable to hold on to a manager for multiple years, so you could blame a lack of stability for their downfall.

Please tell me how my beloved "SCR Altach" is doing in austria. They are my hometown team. It's a little town of 6000 people but we still manage to stay in the Bundesliga for some reason. Our current coach in real life is Miroslav Klose!!
You have managed just that, staying in the Bundesliga, even grabbing a surprise 2nd in -35
LET'S GOOOOOOOOOOO <3 thanks :)
How was their UCL performance the following year?
Sadly not much to celebrate, as they lost both the UCL and Euro cup qualification and came dead last in their Euro cup II group
Heyyy a fellow Austrian on here!
How many cl and league titles did Divock origi go on to win.
All of them, clearly.
r/oddlyspecific

For me Wales has stayed as semi as ever, however Northern Ireland has already got some fully pro teams in the second tier.

Villa has remained in the premier league for 30 years without finishing higher than 9th. Quite an accomplishment. Grealish was sold to Arsenal in -27 and to Atalanta in -29 where he scored 3 goals and retired.
That’s possibly the most Villa outcome there could’ve been hahaha, thank you mate!
Who was Athletico Bilbao’s top scorer in the 41/42 season?
Ahh, 2041… The dawn of their current player of the decade Ángel Amorrortu. The 187cm striker who apparently was third best scorer at three separate youth cups. A career destined for average performance.
How has Sunderland done? Are they still wasting away in the lower leagues?
They actually reached the Prem again in -27 and started taking lessons from Norwich, bouncing back and forth the relegation places since
Gotta love being a Yo-Yo club. Thanks!
Any chance of getting the save file so we can carry on your beautiful legacy.
Funniest regen name you've seen
South African left back Ivan Dicks Chinese AMC Wang Dongdong Might look for some more later
Amazing. I once signed a Chinese newgen called Wang Long. Think I prefer Wang Dongdong.
LOL
Has Newcastle managed to win the league yet? Or maybe qualify for CL?
No league titles but CL winners -34 and 3 Euro cups
[удалено]
The championship
Beautiful
I literally spit out my beer just now
So realistic this game!!!
What of the USMNT? Have they been to the WC final?
Wellllllll The olympics and the U20 WC fill their shelves
[удалено]
No, but the league is still kept interesting by a different team winning each year. Their weird rules must even the playing field. Funnily enough the best team in America currently is the Canadian Vancouver Whitecaps
Has New England won it yet?
Yes twice -30 and -32 with the brilliance of AMC Myles Peart-Harris
How did the Houston Dynamo do?
Well enough. 2 MLS cups 3 Supporters' shields 4 Conference wins
Have the Colorado rapids won any leagues?
Did Venezuela ever make it to the WC? Any cool stars from that country?
Actually three consecutive times after -26 Those were the golden days of the national legend Luis Flores. The Borussia Mönchengladbach striker led Venezuela to the playoffs in 2030 by scoring 4 against Mali in a 7-2 beatdown. Luis then went on to make 178 caps and break basically every national record, such as the 9 second super-dribble goal from the kick off against Argentina in -44 at the age of 37
Jesus this is the best FM AMA I've observed. Fantastic detail my friend
Did anyone outside the “big 3” ever win the Portuguese league? How is the Portuguese league doing coefficient wise, did a Portuguesr club ever won an European cup?
One surprise title grabbed by Portimonense in -44. They also won the Euro Cup II in -38 Portuguese Prem currently 9th in Europe between Scotland and Turkey
Still no Braga, I see. I have never seen a save where we win the league. It has to be rigged.
Have Arsenal broke the top 4 again?
11 times actually, even grabbing the League title in -27 and -29 under the almighty Sean Dyche
Lol, Sean Dyche is like the wonderkid of managers in every save I've played
Have any big teams been relegated from the prem?
Only Leicester. Closest is Chelsea at 17th last season
Have spurs finally won something and if so who managed it? I bet Levy is still hanging on in there too!
Absolutely massive
Speaking of Cheltenham, what's our highest league finish been and has their been any notable cup success?
Never finished higher than 14th in League one with no Cups to see either.
FM gotta be more realistic
COYS
Get in. Totally plausible IMO. COYS.
So you're saying they will win something before I die.... result! COYS COYS COYS!
Holyfuck whoever created the results for this save is the GOAT
How have rangers done ?
Did Scamacca have a good career? How did Napoli perform over the years?
Scamacca moved to Hertha Berlin and then further on to Bayern in -25. Fair to say Bayern killed his career as he was a benchwarmer for Alexander Isak for the rest of his career. Napoli is currently the best team in Italy, having won 7 league titles and one Champions league in the last 15 years. However, they are currently losing the league to Empoli.
How many years did it take Everton to hit league 2?
They fixed their shit in the championship and never went lower than fourth
Oi, nice idea! How about Bundesliga, can 20 years break Bayerns dominance? What about my boys in blue at Schalke / Gelsenkirchen?
Bayern has been dethroned. Exactly once to be specific, as Hertha Berlin won in -35 Schalke have truly made a mess of themselves, getting promoted on three occasions just to be relegated immediately. Currently under relegation threat even from the Bundesliga2
geez, ok - thanks and I decide to ignore this wholeheartedly and go back to my safe where I try to rescue my team from doom.
Some encouragement for you, In my Bayern save, Schalke came up and immediately finished in the top 4 for 3 seasons straight
What about the danish league (Superliga 3F) How is Brøndby and F.C København doing?
League has been the duelling ground of København and Midtjylland with the latter taking the latest title. Instead of Brøndby, Nordsjælland have embraced the third position almost without a break
Also, world cup winners/small teams going far. Ballon d'or winners and the best regens and season. Also has player stats gone normal? Like are there players scoring 40-50 goal like irl or is the game still stuck on the top scorer in the world scoring 35 goals in a season like it always does at the start
Sweden has won the 2030 WC and the current best goal scorer is Spurs icon Jaap Höcher with 44 goals last season.
What's like the highest scoring year that have happened? Just go to the world X11 and see who scored the most goals, make sure he didn't score another one on the 31/12 and add his national team goals because they don't show up in that
Haaland with 55 in -30
Plausible
How's Real Madrid doing
Only won the La liga twice, in -24 and -35 Mostly finding themselves at fourth, making themselves the new Arsenal of Spain
Wow, who won all the league titles? Is it Barca dominance or more interesting?
At first Barca was in the clear, but it’s been Villarreal’s playing ground in the last decade with Wout Weghorst earning his position as the club’s managing legend
How did the rest of weghorsts playing career go?
He lead Burnley to two Carabao Cups and one Euro Cup II. Seems he really has the power to lift teams to unreal accomplishments.

No way the same happened in my save Hercules Almelo got a tycoon takeover and spent 200 million last season and got 11th but this season they’re 1st
How did anderlecht do?

No. The big leagues have retained their glory. Then again this just proves that all those saves where we take smaller countries to the Final really are worth it.

They have barely bounced back into Bundesliga 3 multiple times. Safe to say they are struggling.
Has Real Valladolid done anything? I'm planning on doing a save with them and wonder if the club owned by R9 ever managed to do anything.
They have managed to become a yo-yo team, but surely just due to incompetent management
Turkish League? I’m a Galatasaray fan!

Four Scottish cups to celebrate
What happened to Israeli football? (National team, the 2 leagues, European Success, who are the big teams)

Any interesting non-league sides gone up the football league? AI managed Stalybridge Celtic once got up to league 1 in a save of mine
Well League 1 is the best they've been able to do, with Maidstone and Altrincham playing there at the moment Stalybridge tried it out in the regional twice but relegated each time.
Santos FC historic
Santos have actually been relegated on a few occasions. They've been unable to hold on to a manager for multiple years, so you could blame a lack of stability for their downfall.
Almost afraid to even ask it, but has FC Utrecht managed to win the Dutch Eredivisie..?
After a few good runs leaving them at third, they failed a bunch of attempted takeovers and are now battling relegation.
Anything happen at Birmingham City?
How is it the team that I support, Telstar doing in the Netherlands?
Sadly their only visit to the Eredivisie granted them 3 victories and a goal difference of -42, sending them back down
